Troydon sourced my dream bike for me. He pulled out all the stops to track down the last available raw carbon RS7550 RH3 that I specified with Fox Factory coil and 38s. First class service every step of the way. So grateful. I've never ridden so confident and fast. Thanks Troydon and Crestline Bikes 💪👊
Rode many ebikes when looking to purchase. Originally thought the travel of the 75/50 would be too much. Could not have been more wrong. The versatility of my Crestline is the best part about it. Troydon customer service is outstanding as well!
Great and insightful interview - thank you. I have just received my Crestline RS180 all the way in little ‘ol Australia. What a bike in the flesh. The build quality is outstanding and overall, I think great value for the spec - compared to other brands with what you get. Through the entire process Troydon’s has been exceptional, his communication, making himself available to talk on the phone (even from the other side of the world or whilst he was on holidays) and email with quick responses. His passion for the bike, the design and experience he has created in owning a Crestline in unpresented in my experience. When can you talk directly at any time to the founder designer and owner of the bike you are investing in - only with a Crestline. No hesitation in recommending Troydon and Crestline.
Great episode! Stoked you got Crestline in the studio. So great hearing how much Troydon actually cares about supporting riders and making bikes that are really fun to ride.
My Crestline is just an amazing bike but... Crestline is just much more than an outstanding product. Troydon is an amazing guy with a unique vision. This is the real concept of boutique brand, close to the customer, flexible, individuality oriented. Just perfect!
i can honestly say massive respect to troyden and im the proud owner of one of crest line DH bike number 47 of 50 i absolutely love it its my pride and joy i only ever ride it occasionally its more of a show peace but boy its a show peace
Troydon is awesome. I had gone through multiple ebikes and thought they were good then I met him. My Crestline is awesome. Although I still have that natural craving for wanting something different. Like the grass is always greener. I know what I like about the Crestline and I can’t find anything that would do a better job. I rarely ride any of my other bikes anymore. Gary
@@bikeninja956 the bike is really the sum of its parts. The motor is Bosch. I take mine to the Low Trek dealer because they are the Bosch dealer and they can do anything with the motor system. Shocks are rock shocks. I take it to the local Suspension guy. Etc.
I got to ride this man’s backyard with him as my tour guide. His bike skills make you wanna give up! Well done Troydon and thanks for making the best machine ever!

Best bike for sure, adjusted geometry, and comes equipped with top components and the Bosch Race motor standard...if only they had bike shops worldwide that cooperate with them so that it can be easier for us to buy.
Manufacturers could help everyone as far as anxiety for buyers go. Just make a standard motor mount for ALL motors. That way you can pick and choose instead of ending up with an outdated frame that can’t be current gen. Battery’s could be standardized to to fit ALL bikes, they it’s plug and play. I would buy a frame that was universal even if it was 5k just to be able to upgrade as I wanted. Just an idea.
The manufacturers could, but we all know why they don’t. 😉😉😉 They all want screw over the customers as much as possible. Heck. We already know that most batteries are made with the trident true 18650 cell. So it shouldn’t be so hard to package them in a standardized way. Yet they don’t. They also wanna be able to up-charge you like crazy!! Ironically enough, we already have modularity with e-bikes. It’s through the DIY market though.
Amazing, very informative podcast. hopefully these tariffs as you explain will continue throughout all the countries that need them so industry as the E-Bike's may further to flourish. . . !
I’ve tried beating Troydens times on Strava but I’m not riding a Crestline bike with dual crowns. My 180/165 Levo still has no chance. I’d honestly close my business and go work for Crestline if I got to know them well enough to feel inspired to do so.
These bikes are sick! But the frame and Geometry looks almost identical to that of a Santa Cruz Bullit. However the Crestline bikes seem to be more adjustable and have more travel. Own a Santa Cruz Bullit and couldn’t help but notice the similarities. The Bullit e mtb is by far the best bike, yet alone E-Mtb I have ever ridden. Crestline seems to be like the Ferrari of E-Mtb’s and Santa Cruz is like BMW of E-Bikes.
I'm lucky enough to own one of the first batch of 75/50 ebikes NO.39/50 I'm over 1000 miles in an it hasn't skipped a beat. I've owned both gens of kenevo, levo gen 3, levo sl, Santa Cruz bullit. The crestline is easily the best bike I've had, handles everything you can throw at it. An customer service is brilliant can't recommend them enough. There's nothing on the market I'd rather have.
I love the way Crestline have gone about their bikes. And thanks to Troydon for addressing the elephant in the room that, while UA-camrs are cooing over the new motors from DJI and ZF, there will be very limited customer support when the systems go wrong on a £10K toy.
On the whole, I don't know how component makers have escaped blame when it comes to cost. Bespoke frames (like Crestline) are expensive but you can get extremely good and cheap mass produced frames out of china/Taiwan, and the rest is the usual suspects that bolt to the thing.
Everything that is created in California is overpriced, how comes that a bike company with only a couple of years of being founded charges that much for bikes?, and not even that, how comes that people prefer to invest in one of these rather than another brand with more years of experience/reliability ?
I love my Crestline. Troydon is relentless in solving every issue, big and small. Grateful to support the vision because they nailed it. Wishing sustanable success. Go Crestline! Misha Troshin / TrybeUP

What an excellent episode! Well done for pulling this together and facilitating. Most accurate industry talk I've heard in a while.

how does servicing it work if you have electrical or motor issues?
@@bikeninja956you can take it to any bosch dealer and they'll sort you out.

I’ve wanted frame only options for a long time. Interesting explanation as to why you don’t see them from most manufacturers.
Great interview, enjoyed listening to it even tho I never see myself owning even half the bike these are, still very interesting to listen to.
Heading south of the border to pick up my new RS180 in two days! super pumped!
so interesting. thank you for the inside
Lucky owner of one of their DH bikes and I need to get a matching E-bike!

Thanks for the insides

When are the solid state batteries going to hit e-bikes?
I dont understand, why there are no adapters or universal mounting for drivetrains or motors yet.
Just frustrating I cant get the bikes always sold out.
Keep forging a way to get rid of a chain and derailer plz!
let me know when I can have a pinion mgu in a cressline and you can have all my money
