What was the best MTB related purchase you made this year?
My best purchase was oil for lower leg fork services
The Aenomaly Switchgrade saddle clamp, main feature is that you can TILT the saddle in 3 positions..
And the Sram grip shift , the two position it goes for dropper post , and the 12 position for the rear derailleur
For me was my new bike my new 2023 Norco Sight C3
first full squish: rocky mountain element a30, love it!
Suspension butter. Wasn’t expecting it to impact the smoothness of the travel as much as it did!
My best product of 2023 was going back to X01 mechanical and ditching my loud, floppy, chainslappy, boat anchor GX AXS RD/shifter,,,,, er, "controller". Best thing I have done in 2 years!
X01 mechanical is awesome.
Yup, and at a huge discount too ... I actually bought a new x01 derailleur and an entire x01 groupset that I got for 50% off (165 of course). I think the new transmission stuff is cool, but I mostly ride DH and bike parks, so can't justify the cost and mechanical is still the better choice given the application. Even if transmission cost the same, I'd still go mechanical. Plus MTB is an escape from the technological, connected world we live in, so I don't want to introduce more electronics if I don't have to.
i find transmission is better (its much more reliable than regular axs), regular axs not so much, mechanical is better indeed. on a non ebike though.. no real reason to go electronic imo..
It’s the clutch any better than the Gx?
@@topspot4834you are in the minority.
My best purchase of 2023 was upgrading my Rockshox 35 gold RL to a Rockshox Pike Ultimate. I lost almost 1.5 lbs from the front of the bike and completely changed the way my bike handles chunk.
That is awesome to hear. The Pike Ultimate is an amazing piece of work!
250k items is absolutely no joke
Kudos to your operations people and frontline hourly workers - I’m a warehouse manager for a massive pool supply company in Rochester NY and we ship that out of our 300k sq ft building every year too - all hugely heavy solar covers and pool liners and filters and pool vacuums and pool ladders and steps - all larger heavy items….
It’s quite the operation during the season and I’m sure you guys all prep big time for bike season the way we do for our pool season; it’s an impressive undertaking for sure and no joke when it comes to getting everything g properly shipped on time - not to mention the receiving operations and things that take place in the background to keep inventory from falling apart…
Nice work guys, many of us sweat blood for a living but I for sure love what I do…
Great vid as always - always happy to see you guys posting content like this
#letsgetit 🔥🤙
Love this video every year. Gold mind of MTB knowledge to be used all year while buying anything for my bike.
Love the one up Carbon bar. Got one BECAUSE of that video so thanks Jeff.
Holy smokes. When did you guys start making feature-length films? I'm here for it.
Since 2020 ;)
I went to hell's gate many years ago, before any mountain biking there !
Traveled with an Aussie girl, got invited to the Massai village over in the corner (near the steam energy plant), long story short, Massai leader there had been to Aus (visiting universities to do talks about Massai tribes, better traveled than us) !
He met up with an Aussie Aboriginal (can you imagine that meeting), the Abo (can I say that ?) gave him a didgeridoo to take back to Kenya.
When we turned up he told us this & brought out the didgeridoo.
Know what .... ?
The Aussie girl I was traveling with could circular breath & played it correctly to the whole village for the first time ever.
Man that opened up the whole place, we were family after that 🙂!
..... Thanks for sending some money to help with the park, good deed !
That is such an amazing story. What a memory!
"Traveled with"
Best MTB purchase from 2023 for me was my bike!! Forbidden Druid V2 :) After that, probably X0 T-Type and Continental DH casing super soft Kryptotals.
Absolutely love my TRP Evo 12 shifter and derailleur I bought from you all on December 5th! Zero chainslap, no more dropped chains and compliments my full powered emtb way better than the AXS GX wireless shifting that I replaced it with. 🎉
I love this drivetrain I have the first gen G-spec TR12 it's been solid for me...
The best purchase was all my Ketl gear. Rugged enough to ride DH tracks at Rock Creek and also stylish enough to get free beers at the bar.
Thanks so much for the love and support! +1 for not looking like a power ranger at the post ride watering hole. :)
Been waiting for that video!
Got my Rail29 from you guys. Love it so much!
Love to hear that! Thanks for the support :)
Best product of the year for me was Shimano LinkGlide on my Turbo Levo. After blowing up countless drive trains, including the new “indestructible” SRAM Transmission, I went to Link Glide. Wish I had done it a long time ago. Best EMTB drive train I’ve ran.
I got a good deal on a Dartmoor Primal 29 Hardtail frame! Built myself a solid Trailbike with it from spare parts I had lyiing around. Enjoying the simplity of Hardtail again after mostly riding enduro for years
Agreed! Hardtails bring you back to basics and remind you why biking is so fun.
28:19 love you guys 😂 cheers from France, hope to have one day some french MTB youtubers like you ! Thanks for all and go for a full GX transmission upgrade on my commencal TEMPO !
Thanks for the support!! :)
Tempo owner here :) cheers
My best purchase in 2023 is my Trek Fuel ex 5 with a $600 discount.
Picked up a Cannondale Jekyll, installed carbon bontrager wheels and whiskey bar, Marzocchi 170 coil fork and just ordered an AXS upgrade kit.
I really enjoy this review because of the jokes. You two are funny. No matter how big your company gets keep joking around in your reviews.
Thanks for the kind words :) we like to keep it fun and keep it real.
So many good parts this year! I think my personal favorites are SRAM Transmission, Continental DH super soft tires, Wolftooth Resolve Dropper Post (didn't make the list), and of course my beloved Revel Rail 29!
That's what I'm talking about.
Best part of this hour long video is at the first 3 minutes with the trailer park boys clip. Nothings better than Cyrus
TPB for life.
Thanks guys.. brilliant video. Watched the whole thing! Informative & Entertaining, as always. Wishing you guys the best! Namaste.
Thanks so much!
This is one of the best mtb videos out there!!
Thanks :)
The person that bought that goat link should get a special surprise 🎉
2023 black friday sale was 🔥. CC Kitsuma w progressive coil and Fox 38 for 40% off, Noble TR37's wheels with DT Swiss 240 EXP 54t ratchet for 30% off. Installed on a SB140 LR, loving it
That sounds like an epic build!!
Best purchase was a Norco Fluid A2!
I happy to say that several of your 250k products were things I bought!
Epic!! Thank you so much for the support!
Great video and really informative, thanks 🙏
Two things really made a difference for me this year. I switched all my bikes to the Hellsgate grips after trying them. And, I upgraded the dropper posts on my 2 mountain bikes, so much better than the stock parts.
Love to hear that!!
My favorite for two of my bikes - the Inn Teck Banger tire insert. I got for the flat prevention on desert rides but was surprised by the ride compliance - no tire bounce on washboard corners or braking... and no flats. The Banger is very different from the crush core or similar designs... it fills the majority of the air space. Very cool. Second is the Fasthouse gloves - the best by a mile. Last but not least - the Fox dropframe Pro helmet is the best helmet on the planet.
The "light weight" clip made the cut!!! Been "weighting" for that one. Was that Jared's Blackstone? 😂
Excellent job, love the video. I would like to see a top five not rock shox or Fox suspension.
I got a paradox this last year and I absolutely love it!
I love my E-Thirteen cassette.... been using for 8 years with a Box components derailluer/shifter, Turbine Crank and Connex Chain. No issues for 2500 miles
Ordered a bunch of shat from you guys this year. Built up an RSD Middlechild with with a ton of parts from WWC.
I think my favorite item I purchased was my all gold i9 wheels. Absolutely dreamish!
That sounds properly epic. Thank you so much for the love and support!!
Best customer service: PNW ❤
Best Tech feature: Ergon saddles fart hole 🙌
Great video thanks!
Thanks for tuning in!
WAO convergence wheels. Absolutely bomb proof. 1 year haven’t even touched a spoke.
Ah shit forgot I bought and built a new hard tail too. Ibis dv9 is pretty fun too.
My best MTB purchase if 2023 was a wolf tooth light Action dropper post lever. LOVE IT!
I bought the wolf tooth😂😂 i didnt think i would be the only one
Amazing!
As for Saddles, you can't beat a Charge Spoon for comfort, looks, colour ways and most of all Price £25 Ha !
Why was I expecting it to look like a spoon XD
Two steel frames: Ragley Big Wig and a Kona Sutra LTD 😍 and did my dream builds 🤩
Sick!!
My one up dropper by far!
Favorite thing I got was the spank spoon 40 bars. Made my bike so much more comfortable and I really didn't notice much of a downside. I still can weight the front on steep climbs, though maybe a fraction slower.
Quite an endorsement for Continental tires ... I was at Snowshoe but never even noticed, gonna have to try em out on my DH this season ... currently ride Assegai/DHR2 like 95% of bikes I see at the park.
They are absolutely worth a go. Confident you'll be impressed!
My Bike..Ha !
Nice! What did you end up getting?
The transmission stuff looks really cool, but I still prefer mechanical. Got a backup x01 groupset (165 of course) for 50% off which is tough to beat. Best purchase besides that was a Chris King headset (black/gold) with titanium Better Bolts which look sick ... wanna try those 5Dev cranks this year.
Best purchase of the year was a revel rail29, it looks so good, can’t wait for summer to ride it!
Second to best was switching to continental tyres. I had many flats on maxxis dh casing (6+ in a month). Switched to continental and it improved my times because of increased confidence on grip and did not have to replace once
A 2023 Orbea Rise H10 with a few upgrades. I was able to pick this up as a custom order at 35% off and I'm really enjoying it.
Best purchase I made by far during 2023 is a tie between my Öhlins RXF36M.2 fork (got it for 40%off) and the old Rockshox Super Deluxe coil shock I picked up off of a friend. The two combined transformed the feel of my bike completely. It had traction for days now and still jumps well. Never going back to air out back.
Excellent video, nice to your businesses going strong
Thanks for tuning in and thanks for the kind words!
My best purchase of 2023 is a Park Tool truing stand.
Berd wheels with conti race kings for my xc bike. Holy freakin fast.
wicked fast combo!
My best purchase was my first propper MTB a kona process 134, I'm totally new to mtb so didnt even recognise most of these products but still watched to the end cos you guys have a good vibe, funny video 🤙
Thanks so much for tuning in, and welcome to the awesome world of MTB :)
Canyon emtb. Hands down. Game changer
My best purchase this year was a fox 38 it’s absolutely amazing 🔥🔥
Nice!!
My We Are One Triad wheelset, so fucking good. Also my Shimano Saints. The breaking power is insane!
Marz Z1 air fork for my Tallboy 4. Way stiffer than the Fox 34 it replaced. Really changed the bike.
Drive train: GX transmission. Grips: Revgrips. Tires: schwalbe Tacky Chans. Handlebars: OneUP carbon. Wheels: Hunt carbon enduro. Dropper Post: OneUp V3. Brakes: Hope 4V4. Saddle: Ergon race. Pedals: Crank bros enduro or DH Clip. Suspension: RS Ultimate. Tools: Feedback Sports Pro HD stand. Missle-Anus: Cush core. Bikes: Pole Vikkela. EBike: Pole Sonni Downduro
Tires, always love me some fresh rubber.
The Conti tires do have the "Soft" compound in the Enduro and DH casings- the SuperSoft only comes on the DH for now....
Enduro casing with supersoft would be so good. The people need it!
best thing I bought was the Reeb SST and the sick build spec that WWC built up!
My man! Cheers Mario!
Best purchase, full PNW components cockpit, they make incredible, bomb-proof gear that also looks super dope!!
Love that PNW components made a bunch of your lists!!
Glad to hear the new contis getting some love, in the UK the argotal are much better than anything else for our sloppy winter conditions and the kryptotal is the best ive used for everything but the worst conditions but still pretty good in the slop
I bought a Rail29 this last year. Not from you guys though, but from REVEL directly during their crazy cyber weekend deals they ran over thanksgiving. Also got a step cast 120mm from you guys for my Why El Jefe. Made the bike so much smoother over choppy rocky terrain.
That's an epic quiver ;)
Wolf tooth saved my bacon!! It wasn't me btw.
mmmm bacon.
Your bike reviews are the best on UA-cam.
Thanks so much!
My best MTB purchases of the year were Hope 4 V4 brakes, Cascade components Long link for my S works Ebike accompanied by a RS Ultimate coil w/HBO and a RS ultimate 170mm fork.
My best product of 2023 is my Commencal Tempo Öhlins Edition in Öhlins yellow 🙌🏼
Nice!
My best purchase this year was a vittorio air liner that you guys showcased in a video. Saved my ass big time at a bike park with an impromptu huck to flat maneuver 😅😅
Those inserts are awesome!! Glad to hear it did its job 😅
Transition smuggler 2023 , love that bike sooo much !
I got Acid Disrupt grips to try and no words but WAW! Just perfect
wait, I think I bought that link. My road bike needed a bigger climbing gear, and my derailleur couldn't do a 36t cassette. Then I crashed it and put a GRX Derailleur on.
I checke,d unfortunately I bought mine from one of your PA store's competitors. I'll do better this year, God knows I never stopped crashing
Turbo Levo Carbon with extra 700wh battery for $3500.00.🤙
My best of 23 was upgrading from a jankily modded 90s stumpjumper rigid forked 69er to a custom steel trail hardtail with a 160mm fork with hope brakes 👌🏻
Epic.
my best purchase was a set of raceface next carbon bars for like $30 because they were orange and maxxed my bike
Best 2023 mountain bike purchase: Pivot Mach4.
Not to long ago I used to purchase those goat links like crazy making the mods on my bikes and all my friends bikes in order to put a 42t or 46t rear.
lmao i had the goat link 10 in my wish list or cart at one point and now i wish i got it. i think i didnt get it because i couldnt remember if i had it already or the 11. great great vid.
Best thing i bought was a new Santa cruz bronson! Previously had the 2012 model. Also the one up pedals!
I got a set of I9 Hydra Enduro S wheels in 2023 and LOVE THEM!
Bought me the Cannondale Habit HT 29er. Got a good deal for it too.
The G2 came on surprise.. 😏 Maybe SHIMANO 8-1-2-0? And does the Revel rear up on you if you saddle it with a YETI saddle? 😄
My best purchase was oil for lower leg fork services
Nothing like a nice fork service :)
If you ever make the Hells Gate grips in Purple I’d buy them immediately
18:54 pronounciation of "Schwalbe" was perfect!
YES! WE DID IT!
Trying the PNW loam grip was about all I changed. Looking to change to a shorter 165mm crank.
I love the Whiskey carbon bars
Best purchase of 2023 was the trek slash gen 6 frameset
Ahhhhh Yes, Grips & Tires! Way stoked over them both as a way to dial in your bike that last little bit per that trail, park or flumes you are enjoying for that day on that specific terrain. wet time of year or dry never leave home without three sets of grip extra wheel set with the gnar mudder tires or the faster rolling pinners. lessIm riding scragely slate
I purchased a lot of stuff but no1 is hope tech 4 v4 brakes. Power wise nothing can touch it. Even saints are level below
I've heard those are great. Will have them on my bike one day! Really impressed with Magura MT7 as well. Also heard great things about Hayes Dominion.
my spring-loaded jockstrap
by FoxShox
I miss these videos
We've got a few great ones in the pipeline :)
Haven't bought the best part yet..hahah ..its never ending as any guy knows..it doesn't matter if its MTB,cars, guns, knives or planes we can't leave it alone..no body wants stock parts..btw shopping those crank arms NOW..they look sick
Hahah..got damn..I gotta stay off that web page..its like you must keep me out of a casino as well 😢
Best MTB related product for me this year was hands down the Push ElevenSix rear coil shock for my Ibis Ripmo AF. Completely transformed the way the bike rides in the best way possible.
Virtually every other MTB purchase, & I did a lot this year, came from WWC. Y'all are the go-to for me before anyone else.
Speaking of which, I'm on the hunt for a Continental Kryptotal Fr. Enduro casing, Super Soft compound in 29x2.4 flavor, any possibility of procuring that tire through @WorldwideCyclery?
I could run the DH casing if I had to, just trying to save the added casing weight.
Also, by the way the WWC crew socks y'all sent in a swag pack after a shipping snafu are the bomb! Love those socks! The WWC jersey wifey got me for Christmas is pretty dope as well.
Thanks for the love Michael!! We really appreciate the support. Stoked to hear you are enjoying the swag as well :)
We should be getting some of those soft compound Kryptotals very soon, not sure about the timeline on the super soft in the enduro casing but we've heard about the possibility of those coming for a while. I have a set of the DH casing ones and I agree the weight savings would be nice at times.
Thanks again for tuning in and for the love!
Anything KETL was my fav purchase. 90% of my wardrobe is KETL it's the shit
I absolutely love you. Thank you. - Jeff
Btw, congrats on the new grand kid 😜
Thanks Boys, Both my Grandkids will be lifetime supporters of WC and maybe factory racers in 15 years 😆@@WorldwideCyclery
my best purchase of 2023 is a fox 38 factory
When are you blokes going to review the new Push Industries fork? Keen to see that!
👏👏👏👏👏👌
I think it would be cool if you went over price points when you do these types of videos.
The best thing I brought is the sram x01 dh group set and fox 40
