- Is this the best artificial bait for Bluegills?
In this video (that took me about a week to make) I am showing you the best way I have found to use Gulp Minnows. I was using the Gulp Minnows to catch some nice Sunfish to use a Flathead Catfish bait. Off camera I was in a cove of a lake fishing. On camera I was using them in both a back water area and in a creek. You can catch Bluegill just about anywhere with this bait.
Don't forget to 👍 the video and share it with friends! Thank you for watching!
I want to thank Okuma Fishing USA and Team Catfish Tackle for being partners with my channel! You may see their products throughout my video.

Thanks for sharing this video Billy like those gulp minnows better than live bait for bluegills 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the video. Losing gear is a hard part of fishing. I never have gotten over that truth.
I lost 20 dollar lore because I let my friend tie it on and he did a horrible job so when he caught a fish it came off
Love those minnows, stopped buying worms ever since started using them for gills.
Soooo much more convenient than buy and storing live bait.
The trout magnet never lets me down. It will catch a fish even on the toughest days. gills love `em!
I love gulp minnows. I've caught almost everything with them. I love using them for picky skip jack.
That's awesome Billy keep doing it buddy keep doing it
I use the Gulp maggots under a bobber for gills and crappie. I'll have to try the minnows. Thanks!
I've never tried the maggots or any of the other super small ones..... how do you rig that? And what do you fish it on?
I use a fuzzy jig under a bobber and tip it with a maggot on a ultra light. Use whatever kind of jig you like. Give it a crank once in a while for movement. Watch the bobber.
I seen gulp minnow and instantly thought is was a Kayak Catfish youtube video! 😂
I like to use nightcrawlers over red worms. Just personal preference. Usually I can rebait about 4 times with a single nightcrawler, at least 2 times guaranteed and only if I want to find where they are at first. Once you find the school/hole you can use smaller segments of nightcrawler. But seriously, both work just fine.
I use Gulp fake worms and nightcrawlers. I caught a huge sheepshead in Lake Erie using the worms before. I think when my wife and I go out tonight I'm going to try using the minnows. I bought some a long time ago, and have never used them yet.
Good luck when you do!
If ya really want to learn the ins and outs of Gulp Minnows... 😉
I need to try them. Billy fishes some areas I fish and he definitely does better than me with my rooster tails.
Gonna have to try them out. I have only used worms or night crawlers
cool tips! thanks 👍🏼
Okay cool thanks for the knowledge I feel like I have to start at the beginning. Getting back to the basics.
Thanks for the video 👍🏻
No problem 👍
Yo Billy, I reckon you fish Beaver creek? Let’s go fish sometime!
I do every now and then!
Good info thanks.
Next time how about using a drop shot rig with that gulp minnows
Where do blue gill go in the winter time can't find any at the lake late winter
They usually go to deeper water. Sometimes hanging out with the Crappie.
I like both night crawler and red worms. My wife says red worms are diet worms and the fish doesn’t like them.
Red worms definitely work better for me. But nightcrawlers are ok.
Details can make good video better imho, size of hook and weight of the trout magnet hook..thanks
Hey Billy, can you make a video gulp minnows vs live minnows
I've seen someone else's (cant remember who) the results may surprise you.
I've been wanting to try them on Crappie someday. I may have to do that when they get on my tree.
@@TNRVG there is another guy in Tennessee that does pretty well with crappie and yellow bass with them. I have good luck with bream and yellow perch here in the Atlanta area.... caught my PB crappie on one too.
What’s the best color gulp minnow
I’ve been using the gray.
I use the gulp jigging grub
I may have to try that someday!
ive been catching my bluegills on wax worms...
I know a few people that do!
Having my morning pipe! Then gonna jig a minnow and hit the water! Hope i rip some lips
Good luck!
@@TNRVG yes thanks brother ! I caught me a fish!
Red worms
Not saying your wrong, but you should be jigging it.
That is one way to use it.
