No need to try not to fall asleep,do regularly.Your body needs rest and healing ,that why it is happening.Keep doing, in few days you will be able to do it without falling asleep.Its perfectly normal. Do it after morning yoga or exercise,see if it happens.

Thank you for this :) I just want to share that I've been practicing yoga nidras for many years and of the Bihar School... and, I've experienced many of the "yoga nidras"out there on UA-cam, some well-crafted and delivered and some not at all, for me ;)... even though Swami Niranjan is a master, that doesn't mean he delivers the perfect Yoga Nidra here... for example, he just doesn't give you space to calmly and consciously repeat your san kalpa 🙄
Before starting ,take the sankalp with which you are going to do Yoga Nidra. Like I intend to "xyz" with this session of Yoga Nidra.And start observing your thoughts ,everyday for somtime ,just observe no judgement💓🌸💗

So I’ve been trying to find out why I’ve been having nightmares because it’s seriously affecting me, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I don’t remember swaying from the meditation into my own thoughts.

I always fall asleep while doing Yoga Nidra no matter how much I try not to get into sleep.
No need to try not to fall asleep,do regularly.Your body needs rest and healing ,that why it is happening.Keep doing, in few days you will be able to do it without falling asleep.Its perfectly normal.
