Did it ever cause no start or hard start my 2010 5.4 had the o2 replaced a few days later wouldn’t start but had no codes they couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t start randomly tried a few days ago it started but then those codes popped up not sure if it’s from old gas now or that was the cause for the no start to begin with and sitting allowed it to clear out
Hello love your straight to the point fix and problem my truck is blowing white smoke like crazy and barely idling I don't know what it is I said sensors and this and that but from what you say I think that's the problem but I just having a hard time taking off the hoses is there a trick to it hopefully you see this now cuz I'm working on it thanks
I took my valve off, checked it seemed fine because both sides were closed no air would go threw. But after I pulled it and checked it the CEL went away… but my fuel economy is still terrible.
I recommend you do a full complete tune up. Replacing all spark plugs, engine air filter, and synthetic oil change. This will helps your car breath better. Bad/old spark plugs and dirty air filter will makes your car runs poorly. If you love your car enough, change out the transmission fluids too, makes the car drive smoother. Improper tires inflation and bad oxygen sensor will causes fuel consumption too.
I have both the same codes but i have no cats. My rear o2 doesnt have a issue just the front 2 like this video. I also have a purge valve but idk if this my issue bc i didnt get a evap code

I have these two codes on my 2015 f150 (p2196 and p2198) and I also have code p1450. The truck seems to run okay but whenever I get gas it won’t start after unless I pump the gas pedal. It also takes a few tries to stay running. What should I do?
P1450 is canister purge valve. The purge valve cant bleed up the fuel tank, thats why you have to press gas pedal. Replace the part and it should be fix, very common code on ford.
I have a 2004 5.4 with these codes after I changed plugs coils and injectors..to find out I had a broken injector wire. But like I said I have these two codes now should I go with the purge valve or change back to the original injectors?
@@hoffman565 Ived checked the codes on computer for this 5.4l engine (most hated engine). Check the mass air flow sensor, most common problem is bad spark plugs and leaking injectors.
@@Ah_Duuu_Ma I know a lot of people hate these engines but if maintenance is up to date they run for ever I changed the plugs coils and injectors with motorcraft parts. I'll look at a maf sensor and see if it's dirty or just not working
@@hoffman565 Replace the engine air filter if needed. Clean the mass air flow sensor and reset the fuel trim memory if needed after replacing maf sensor.

Hey boss, my truck is throwing these codes and po451. AND IT WONT START. Just endlessly cranks, I just got it back from the Ford techs yesterday, it had done the same thing last week and they told my it was the cats so I had them replaced but now we are back at square one. Car cranks but no start means either no full or no sparks. Could be few causes - no spark, no fuel, bad crank sensor, bad pcm, electrical problems. Check one by one. Check spark plug for sparks when cranking. Disconnect the fuel line, and key on to see if fuel is pumping up. If no fuel coming up, then fuel pump is bad. Check crank sensor for signals (if you know how).
I know you posted 8 months ago, but I just had the same issue a while ago. I just had to replace the fuel pump relay! (#8 for my 2012 F150). $30 fix (with taxes) and fixed in less than 5 minutes
@Ah_Duuu_Ma been a minute but I figured I'd update, fixed it by pushing the pedal in fully before cranking to shut off fuel supply, then releasing once the flooding was cleared. Simple but hard as hell to figure out lol
Do the same thing to clear the codes first. For the missfired and stutter, spark plugs are bad, replace it. Clogged catalytic converter can causes the car to stutter because of restricted airflow in exhaust system. Hopefully, it's not the CAT.
What else could be the problem if I replaced both bank 1 sensor 1, bank 2 sensor 1 and also the purge valve and continue to get the P2196/ P2198 codes? This is on a 2013 ford f-150 xlt 5.0 and I have had the auto parts guy clear the codes after running around for 50 plus miles or so with the new parts in.

Press the green lock at the bottom to get it unlock. Press both side and the lock should pop up.

5.4 has purge valve too but slightly different design look and different part number. Call dealership.
That valve is on the drive side fire wall above the brake booster

If you have the same code then do the same as i did. If this doesnt solve it, then you have to check on the sparkplugs and ignition coils.

P0172 is fuel system rich. P2196 is purge valve canister purge solenoid. Both codes related to bad purge valve, replace it.

Too lean would be dif codes. Too lean then you have more air than gas in the system, which mean you have a vacuum leak.

It doesnt affect the drivability, the check engine will be on if theres evap leak code.
So why didn’t you run another test. You just cleared previous codes.

"U300A-29" possible causes - shorted or open electrical wires, bad or corroded ignition cylinder lock, faulty body control module.

What do you mean "gas sensor". The part I replaced is the purge valve.
