I have P2196 fault code on my Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI 140hp, when I remove this code from ECU, every 5 to 6 days comes back. I replaced O2 sensor before catalyst, all spark plugs and one induction coil on third cylinder because I had a missfire fault code on third cylinder. I don't have any problem with power on car, no problem with fuel consumption( I have average 5 liter on 100km). If you know why I have every 5-6 days this fault code. Maybe I must to change all of inductive coils.
When codes randomly come back with a delay, it can be hard to pinpoint the cause. If there are no other codes, I would examine the O2 sensor wiring for any bad connections.
@@HVAC_Mechanic I can try to clean connector on O2 sensor, when I replaced old O2 sensor I am just put the new without cleaning connector. Maybe I must to do adaptation on new O2 sensor?
So heres my issue i have a 08 ford focus so i first got a p2196 for 02 sensor bank 1 sensor one biased/ sruck rich . So i replaced the sensor i also had a leaking valve cover gasket so i replaced it and spark plugs wich looked sort of a dusty light color. the code went away but i still have the poor engine performance. My syntoms are when i try to start my car it will either be a rough start no start or it will start right up and when it does start the rpm's dip then fluncuate then settles and finally idles but if i put it in drive the rpm's dip again and it seems to idle rough if i try to drive the car i have poor acceleration, low power, jerking , hesitation, And when im at a stop light it may or may not stall and when it does i smell gas and i get the p2196 code and check engine light but when i start it back up the check engine light is gone but not the bad performance . I cleaned the maf sensor also but seen no change any advise is appreciated
Anything I say is a guess, but a dirty throttle body is common with those issues. I would clean up the throttle body with throttle body cleaner and see if it improves.
Oh mine runs rich. I can smell it. No cats. I replaced bank 1 sensor 1. Purge valve no vacuum when running. Spark plugs smell like fuel. (I changed them all, killed me lol). Idles bad intermittently. It has a cold air k&n air intake. I bought truck recently. Mistake maybe. 2009 F150 4.6 3v engine. Starts really great so no problem there. I cleaned maf sensor. It looked clean before I cleaned it though.
@@rubendasoccerpro5063 still runs bad in drive. I changed the cylinder head temp sensor, put a new maf sensor. I checked all the fuel injectors voltage good. My next plan is to change purge valve and clean the throttle body real good and go from there.
@@MrTLsnowyes. The wiring to the 02 sensors(actually heater sensors) were plugged in wrong. I had my torque converter changed and the mechanic had accidentally plugged bank 1 plug wire into bank 2 sensor1, and bank 1 plug wore into bank 2 sensor 1. The wires were crossed over the transmission. A different mechanic figured it out and lowered my transmission and fixed it. Costed me 100 bucks and that was it.

Is the misfire fixed? If not, I would check the injector on cylinder #3 that has the misfire.
