Best part of this video was the Ferris Bueller reference! Well played sir! Oh, and awesome kennel too!
Ha thanks! He's my hero!
Thanks for the video.....I am not a pet at all person but I know that a lot of people are and this would be a great seller!
My wife and I really like this build! The video was great too. We're going to try it with our lab - wish us luck!
Good luck! Hope your doggos enjoy their new home!
Thanks! I've looked at a lot of designs and I want to make this one for my small dog. It makes the living room look so much nicer!
I don't have all the equipment you have so I will have to rely on the milling at the big box store 👀 but I can definitely do the pocket holes and god help me, the dowel holes with a forstner bit. Haha wish me luck getting everything square and plumb!
Awesome! You should be able to do this just fine with a circular saw and a speed square!
If I had been one building it. And I will be building my own. Mine will have tile on the floor for easy cleanup.
Ah! That's a great idea!
Very enjoyable! Love your attitude toward the work and your dogs...
I love your intro
Thanks Ramani!
Me too I almost cried
Nice Ferris Bueller reference!
He's my hero! 🤣
Very nice. why not make the door with half lap joints to avoid the pocket holes?
I really like the design.
That’s a great idea! But it does take a little more time and skill.
Hi there!
What’s your profession?
The video intro was amazing and captivating and the narration keep me wanting for more and more every minute.
Great video
aahoooo
Hi, Mason,
What router bit did you use to create recess for the panel?
Hi Mason, any way you can add a link to the hardware you used please? Also, did you add a stop block or something for the door to not slide inside the crate? Thanks
Hi! I found this video from a website "It's Overflowing" and it says there are diy plans and steps but I am not seeing them for this kennel type. I tried to click on all the bolded words but nothing happened lol. Is there a link for the design steps? Thanks!!
I am from to Brazil and I accompany you
obrigado!
@@masontejera506 De nada 💗
Ana White has free plans of this crate on her site.
Hi Mason, I really like to dog build and I would like to build one for my Aussie dog Melo. Are you able to share the design template including measurements/pieces? Thank You. This is also such a great video/edit.
Hey Larry,
I used Sketchup to design this guy, and ended up building a smaller one for a friend as well. While they're not 'instructions', if you know how to use Sketchup, they should be pretty straight forward. Let me know if you can't access these :-)

Thank You. Thats really helpful. I dont really have all the tools to make the build but I will use what I have to build a home for Melo. @@masontejera506
Can you please tell me how much is the length and width
@@Sarjapuramurali The base is 45-1/2"x32". The top is 47-1/2"x34". Overall, 33" high.
Hey Mason, loved your video. Where did you get your stamp made? I would love one of those for my pet!
Etsy ftw! :)
No eye and ear protection????
What size are those dowels?
Sorry for the late response - they're 3/8's
@@masontejera506 oh wow!!! big help man!!! A year later. Jk thanks a lot bud.
@@Antweak83 heh yeah, my bad - sorry it fell through the cracks. Didjya end up building something like this?
@@masontejera506 yes I did it for a client. It was very similar. Thanks for putting up the video. It was the first one I built. I also made a two door version made out of 1x. I used 3/8 rebar instead of dowels tho. The first one i built had 3/8 wooden dowels. But the clients dog chewed through it. Lol
@@Antweak83 heh yep, Oz ended up pulling one of the long dowels out, so we remade it with 1x1s and dominos. Glad to hear you got it built and made 2 to boot! Cheers mate!
are you sure 2*4?
yep :-) we then cut and planed them down to be 1'x3'
No offence but it’s good craftsmanship but it looks like a dog jail
