Fascinating! I knew the 15000 had this, but not how or exactly where to find it. I couldn’t find it in my manual, so I paused your video to look and found it! This will take some playing around to completely figure it out and determine where it will be useful, but very cool! Thanks!
wowowow how fun and fabulous. I have the 12000 and I'm on my way to see if this function is there. Drat not here, but It's OK machine is 8 ys old and does me great for what I do. TY
thank you for these videos, i have just bought this machine and it is overwhelming !! though fun. the only thing which is not clear is how you decided when to click on the button to start the tapering at the end of the first side?? is it the length of the presser foot ? or ??? will be watching more of your videos !
Chatterbox quilts. Love your videos. I just bought a Janome 9450 and Accuquilt machine and dies. I want to attach the cute butterflies, bears etc, to fabric. Specifically to a quilt top. I don’t have an embroidery machine. Is there a way to use my Janome to do this?
Yes, you can choose any stitch (I like to use a narrow zigzag or a blanket stitch) and stitch around the exterior edge of any appliqués to attach them to the quilt top.
Not sure what you are asking about, Carol. I use my Janome MC9450 to finish the edges of my appliqué pieces when I'm adding them to a quilt top. This tapering feature can come in handy to do that.

Thanks for showing and explaining the “oops” as well. Good tutorial.
You’re welcome 😊
Ahhhhh your background wall is much more relaxing now 😁 as all blue.
Awesome! Thank you for the video. Now I will run to my machine and start sewing. :-)
Nice job, well done video Kim. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You are very generous with your time!
Wish this was available on the 9400. Have you ever been told that your voice sounds just like Martha Stewart? It truly does!
I've never been told that! I'll have to listen to Martha's voice to see if I hear that too ;)
GREAT video Kim! I always love your videos!

It's a bit of a guessing game, actually. I kind of eyeball it. It's different with different stitches as they are different lengths.
@@Chatterboxquilts thank you

Your 9400 machine dealer can upgrade your machine to a 9450! The cost includes
A program update and some additional feet.
Help. Is there a way to use this machine to attach appliqué to a quilt top?
