I'm so excited to find this series! I'm new to long arm quilting. I see you have several challenge series. In addition to this one, which of your other series would you recommend for a beginner long armer to learn on? Also, I love that you have the panels to go along with these!
This is very helpful. Working in my first Ingram quilted piece and have been doing swirls. Have gotten stuck and had issues with a big swirl not filling a space and not knowing what to do with it. Thanks for the video!
When doing this on the long arm do you just keeping rolling your quilt back and forth to get to the areas to complete each week? I thought it was best to complete all the way across the quilt then roll up and do the next row. I don't know how to do that when the different type of swirls are going in different parts of the quilt.
If you baste your whole quilt on the longarm, first, it makes it easier to roll back and forth to get to different areas. Then you can quilt sections out of order and it won’t cause it to bunch up, etc. 😊
I thought I knew how to do ribbon candy, until I to use home sewing machine. Not to self finish quilt on the sit down Juki Machine. I hope it wrinkles enough after it is washed a couple of times.
Angela talks about the quick speed she quilts at. She also stresses that the speed is her preference NOT something you should be aiming for unless it is also your preference
how do I get the free diagrams? I clicked on the link but can't find where they are mentioned? Edited to say I found them, they are just a lot harder to find than they've been in other challenges, but they are there! Yay!

I am a total newbie to machine quilting.. can someone please tell me how i set up sewing machine to do this… that is .. please tell me first things first..!! ??
Be gentle on yourself. The first step is to drop your feed dogs on your machine. You might use the darning foot if your machine came with one. You might even have a designated quilting foot. Adjust the stitch length to zero or as small as it will go. There are sheets made to fit on your machine to make it easier to move your machine. Don’t get discouraged, every quilter was a beginner.
@@maxibrasch one more suggestion is to match the thread color to your piece. Angela uses a contrasting color so we can see her quilting, but you just want the texture. The quilting should enhance the quilt but not be the focus.
@@ohquilter1291 Just now, I checked on the video introducing this series a month ago, and I believe it is the same tune, a bit more distinct in the background.
Thank you! Wonderful challenge. Please do a chat on smaller swirls. :)
You make it look so easy!
Very intimidating, but I’ll practice first. Thanks for your series.
Nice to catch you live!!!!!
Yay…Im a swirl girl myself and am excited for this challenge! You’re such a great teacher Angela….thank you.
Great tutorial!!! Thanks for demonstrating the hook. I really like that design.
Oh my goodness! A new quilt along!
Thank you so much, Angela! I love this!

are your panels marked with the designs and how big are your panels?

When you are showing the longarm quilting, is that actual speed? Do you really quilt that fast, or is the video sped up?

I'm not sure what tie this started. What time is next weeks?
What do you use under the fabric to keep it moving smoothly?
A Supreme slider
I signed up for this but did not get an note it was available?
Which colour thread do we use please?
Angela, do you baste your quilt sandwich? I never see stitches or pins and I notice your top fabric always moves a lot. Thanks.
She's stud in other videos that she spray bastes. That's what I do also because I don't like stopping to remove pins.
@ thanks. I didn’t remember that.
If you pay close attention on this video, you can actually see a pin from her basting. 😊
I want the diagram of where you want us to sew on the panel?? I can't find it.

@@maxibrasch I think the name of the sheet to go on the machine is “super slider” . Not necessary but certainly helpful
@ thankyou🥰
That background 'music' is distracting.
I don't hear any music. Is it possible you have another program open on your computer that is causing this? I've had that happen to me
@ohquilter1291 Thanks. I'll rewid it, and listen again. It was very odd to faintly hear that..
