As a visual learner, I love your videos. Very cute project, could be a mug rug without that extraordinarily cute button.

Thank you for another great tutorial, you are a good instructor with clear instructions. Many times I come back to your site to answer my questions and since I am a visual learner this works for me.

I found with my attachment, the same that you are using, I had a lot of trouble holding on to the itty bitty screw due to the arthritis in my hands. I used some tweezers or a nurses hemostats to hold into the screw and then use the screw driver to tighten the screw, once I have the screw partially tightened I can stop using the tweezers. Thought I would mention this in case any one else has trouble.

Very interesting! I don't have a Janome; I use a Viking. I believe I have seen this attachment for that brand as well. Worth checking into, as if I need another project!! Thanks for the inspiration.

I have a Singer and my machine doesn’t have a circular attachment, however, I found a vintage one made for vintage singer machines. I found it on EBay for under $15 dollars and, with a little adjustment, it works great. My biggest problem was ending the circle with the decorative stitches meeting neatly at the end of the circle. It is sort of a hit or miss thing.

Great video. I’d live to know how you get the stitch to be at the same position at the finish as at the start.

It's a bit of a guessing game. You can narrow your stitch width to get it to fit. I just try to get it close and stop the stitching when it meets up with the first part of it.

Can you tell me what the part number is for a 9450 please and where I can buy it from? Thanks

There are different ones available for different models. The best thing to do is contact your local Janome dealer who can guide you to the correct part for your machine (I'm not a Janome dealer so don't have all the details).

What is the circular attachment number for the 9400?
I purchased the #2021135007 and hope this is the right one.
    Thank you
