Veni, veni, Immanuel, Not really a X-mas song, more an Advent song, the 2 are connected obvi. For many years, after I returned to the Church, I'd cry whenever they'd start singing this again during Advent. It is so evocative of the heart's infinite yearning for God.

I've heard that a degree in Latin helps to understand scientific terms, since they are often Latin origin.
