FAQ
Name: Laura
Where did you study - University of Notre Dame
What did you major in - Psychology & Mathematics
Can you tutor me - I am not currently taking students, but I have a rockstar tutor team. I trained them, they teach my program, and they all scored 1500+ on the SAT. Highly recommend them!
How long have you been teaching - Since 2007 (please try not to do the math on my age😉)
What do you score on the SAT - I superscore a 1570 (770 English, 800 Math)
Do you teach both English and Math - Yes!
Why do you decide to teach - I was working in leverage acquisition (finance) in New York City and lost my job in 2008 (economy crash). I moved to South Florida to start over and fell into test prep. I realized it was my calling and have been doing it ever since!

Hey guys I recognize the right answer is 135x+135. I circled D. I wrote a minus sign by accident. Thanks to anyone who catches this 😊
I have my test in 7 hours; this helped thanks!!
In 5🙏
we got this!! mines in 2 hours. good luck you guys!
35 minutes
Guess I’ll be coming back to the video that says August SAT Predictions 💀 Praying for at least a 1300 though on this one🙏🙏
hope we are all gonna make it guys!
yessir
In 5 hours
This was so accurate, I'm glad I watched it otherwise I would have gotten 4-5 questions wrong
🔮 good luck everyone!
I love how if anyone tries to confirm or deny these predictions it will cost them their SAT score.
Just took the June sat today (international student) and almost all the predictions came in the sat. I wouldn't have been able to solve prediction #4 if I hadn't seen this video. Super helpful👏
This literally made my day!! 🙌🏻
I am taking the test on June1st, a bit anxious on the days before the test; however, after watching your predictions, I am truly more confident :) !
WOW SAME! GOOD LUCK!
i have a test on june 1st too! good luck i hope you reach whatever score you're aiming for :)
Same here! I hope we all do well!
Good Luck!
For Prediction 7 on 9:04, you can also realize that the coefficients of "x" are multiplied/divided by 15, so to get "a" you simply multiple the coefficient of "y" in the top equation (which is 5) by 15 and you also get 75 because the problem says these equations have no solution. You eliminate the time needed to type the equation into Desmos and using the slider to find the value of "a" this way. It may not be much of a timesave initially but the time you saved realizing this strategy can mean more time for you to get a more advanced math problem right.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Cannot describe how thankful i am
omg im just so grateful i picked on this video, please make more of those im so thankful! youre a lifesaver
this video is really helpful, thanks alot! ❤
🔮 Ty, Greatly appreciated!!
thanks a lot this video was very helpful
AYO MY SAT TEST STARTS IN 45 MINUTES!!! WISH ME LUCK! THE LAST VIDEO I AM WATCHING.
One of the questions from Acely was the EXACT same on the SAT, so grateful 😅🙏
thank youuuu!!!🔮
Thanks! 🔮
🔮.. answer all questions correctly. Even the hard question video. So please make some really hard question video.
Trying to post some on my video weekly based on past exams
the SAT isnt hard lil bro, I'm from the UK and easiest shi ever, esp the fact that you guys take this in high school
@@Geeking_Out_On_Stem search up "A level maths past papers" and try those qs lil bro
@@chaska8144it’s not meant to be hard it’s meant to show colleges how u stack up on a standardized test compared to others.
holy shit almost every prediction in this video was on the sat today, the linear regression one even had the exact same f(x)/(x+3)
The most awaited…. Amazing content… U are doing a such a great job Laura…Thanx.
Regards.😊
My pleasure 😊
I watched all of your videos
Just gave my test
Probably going to get ≈1400
(Should have practiced more Reading and Writing)😭
Thank you for your tips
🔮Thank you so much
Just wanna say, this woman is genius🔮
thank you so much. i used this (& other resources) and got an 800 on my june sat math section 😭😭
🔮Thank you
Watching this the day of 😭
On prediction 10 you can also use different basic trig if you know your angles and stuff (since I don't know the 2x stuff with the 30, 60, 90)
If your cos is sqrt(3) /2, you know x is 30 degrees, so AB would be 1/2 if the hypotenuse was 1, and since it's 8 you can just multiply 1/2 by 8 to get 4, the answer
Please give more questions for math module 2 hard version. I am still struggling on them
hello i was wondering, are SAT exams very different from year to year? or i could use the material from this year to study for the SAT in 2025? new to SAT so don't know much about it
prediction#4 at 5:36 can be solved by hand, no need for desmos. just state that g(x)=f(x)/(x+3) -> g(x)(x+3)=f(x) which you mentioned was linear in the problem statement. using this you know that g(x)(x+3)=mx+b=f(x)
now through that simply substitute two values from the table. In this case, g(-9)(-9+3)=m(-9)+b -> 0 = -9m + b -> b=9m
then again: g(21)(21+3)=m(21)+b=21m+9m=30m; therefor 24*5=30m; now you know that m=24*5/30, but substitute it to find the b value (keep in mind b value is always the x-intercept because plugging in 0 for y gives us y=m(0)+b=b). that means b=9m=9(24*5/30) which simplifies to 36. imo a lot easier than to remember something as complicated as regression, and uses fundamental math to solve.
On the first problem 3:08, D says y = 135x + 135 (as it should because it's the right answer), not y = 135x - 135 (what you mistakingly computed)
Sorry if that sounded rude; I didn't mean it that way
Yep - just a mistake !
@@StrategicTestPrep I always appreciate your effort and the tips you give!
do you provide a free online version of the english workbook?? the math one is rly great and id love to have the english one as well :DD
Taking this for the first time tomorrow. Really scared. Hope I do well.
At 10:41, is it true that you can just knock of answers because of similarity? Realistically, how many questions could that work on?
Trying to post some on my video weekly based on past exams
Are they in normal difficuty questions in Sat or the hardest ones
can someone give tips so i can increase my english score from 620 to atleast 700? (im cooked for english)
The SAT version I got had a question just like the one at 5:37 but with different values. I was upset with myself that I didn't remember how to do it and guessed C
If on the 4th question l wrote only 2 points from the table will my answer will be wrong?? Please can someone tell me?
🔮watch it and like it thank you for the help
Where is the link for downloading the predictions?
prediction number 4 is crazy (still got it wrong)
Why is it crazy?
I need help my sat is next week and I have finals send help plz all I did was take the khan academy course till now
5:52, you can do that without desmos, I used the first and third x values and made simultaneous equations, we know f(x) = ax + b (becaue its linear), the 2 equations we get are 21a + b = 120 AND -27a + b = -72, solving a gets you 4 and solving b gets you 36, thus f(x) = 4x + 36, so the y-intercept is 36
yh dk why desmos is the first thing that shoots in your brain for that qs, manually was way faster
it's even easier to just set up the ratio: (2/30) = (5/a), which will give you a = 75
@@creamyice8615 a = 4, as f(x) = 4x + 36
@@creamyice8615 he clearly said a = 4 and b = 36, therefore f(x) = 4x + 36
🔮
Lura can you make more video on math and english tips for to recover in 3 days .
my exam is in june 1st wish me luck and help me out here.
i really love your content.
My exam is also on the 1st of June I’m so scared cause I am not ready I did not prepare
@@chelse3a868 from nepal?
how accurate have you been in the past with these predictions?
The drive link is not working ;(((
Using Desmos for problems like no.7 might be a bad idea because sometimes the graph may look parallel and not be parallel, the test will be clever enough to keep values within that range to confuse test takers. I think using algebra basics instead might help avoid that situation,
for systems of equations ax + by + c = 0, their coefficients,
a1/a2 = b1/b2 . just plug the coefficients. 2/30 = 5/a , therefore, a = 75
Well they give you answer choices just type them in for a - I don’t think what you’re pointing out is an issue. And when a student has a short response, I just have them move the graph around enough to know it’s parallel
@@StrategicTestPrep I understand where you're coming from, but don't you think it's a little risky for students to be relying on Desmos too much? Of course, it's an incredibly powerful tool that exists to help students. But there's always a possibility of getting tripped up by wonky numbers. I just think it's important for students to know the conceptual and fool-proof approaches to these math problems too. Also, great video as always!
🔮 💖
🔮I hope i get a 1560 this time
Can you tell me about essays in digital sat pls
For Prediction #5, isn't the subject "engineers"? If so, it would be plurar no? 😭
I am really exicited beause june is my last chance. Thank you very much. I hope college board ll not see this predictions😅
Pls make other more videos
🔮🔮🔮
i dont get how you explained the prediction 4 and r we allowed to use desmos during the SAT
yes we are
Actually we can do the 4th question without desmos ,its pretty easy, just find two values of f(x) by substituting any two x and their corresponding value of function "g" from the given table, then use the two point formula to find the equation of f(x) and then we can find the y-intercept it just took 2 min to do it this way
desmos takes less than 2 minutes lol
Yes my way.. when I just do it without explaining it.. takes 20 seconds
The key is to bank enough extra time to go back and redo every problem to prevent careless mistakes, so your way unfortunately is too time consuming
@@StrategicTestPrep this is the reason you are teacher and we are students...hehe
there is a graphing calculator on the SAT?
yes, the bluebook provide it
7:20 where did x1+3 come from? why 3?
It was on the question: [g(x)=f(x)/x+3]
🔮🔮
🔮🔮🔮🔮
Tryna get from a 1310 to a 1440+. Havent started studying yet. Am I cooked?
Bro we got the same score and you’ll probably be fine
Have you taken a practice test yet?
Correction on 3:03 : 135x+135
Complete brain fart but i obviously knew.. I circled the right answer 😂 I don’t know why so many people feel the need to point this out when I picked the correct answer
🔮🙊🌚
İ don't get prediction 8
Can you be more specific?
Im cooked the english section, trying to get 800 on the math
Relatable🙂
@jaydenleckpa8381 Yeah same here, reread the text all the time cause don't understand the single word what it trying to say lol. anw I still have pretty much time ahead I'm in sophomore year and going to take the first time next June
can we use desmos during the exam?
Yes! Its built in
anyone giving sat in all india institute of local self govt pankha road delhi then must ping me
10:08. you're acc so mid bro, why r u using desmos to identify its 75 🤣🤣
I know you have to make content, but what's the point of saying "June SAT Predictions"? It's an adaptive test with questions that are different for every student. But hey, the internet is clickbait city is it not?
