Thank you for this!! Now I'm cringing at the mistakes I know I made. I'm grateful I discovered your channel because you get straight to the point, there is no click-bait, and you explain concepts really well. Not to mention you're so upbeat it makes me smile!
I got a 710 originally going in blind but a really low score on math so I'm tryna boost up my score to get a 750 tysm this was so helpful n im feeling more confident in myself!
Many or some parents push very expensive tutoring but we know that doing well is just sitting home with our children and making them study in school and when they arrive from school. We can do it. Tutors some , are charging plenty for these results !
Yes and thank you! That colon can also be used for dramatic emphasis. Example: Playing fifteen seasons between 1984 and 2003 and winning six championships with the Chicago Bulls, there is only one NBA goat: Michael Jordan.
From my years tutoring, I have found that it is too tough to generalize to when you need/don’t need a comma before quotes. I have seen both scenarios happen on this test. So, keep it simple and if you are reading it out loud and pause before the quote, pick a comma. If you don’t need to pause while reading, don’t pick the comma. Hope that helps!
for 22 you know its C because you NEVER put a comma between a subject and a conjugated verb (learned that from french) and if anyone’s confused- if u put commas like- Stina Chyn, critic for blah blah, claims- you have to put commas because that’s an unnecessarily element. u know when to put a comma like that because unnecessary elements (or nonessential) can be taken out and the sentence will still make sense. (the nonessential element is that shes a critic for blah blah)
On number 24 the last question you go over the part that comes after the blank seems to a complete sentence, so would semicolon also work there? Thank you for these videos, they are helpful.
A conceptual artist and designer embraced by both the art world and the fashion ______ Mary Ping was chosen to curate the exhibition Front Row: Chinese American Designers for the Museum of Chinese in America. According to this video, i thought the answer would be "world" but it says the correct answer is "world,". Can someone please clarify.
Cuz it started a new sentence which is not talking about his arts and fashion it is saying she was chosen so the before starting another sentense which is different from previous we use commas
Hellow there, at the handling lead in’s part, can u explain what makes a subject a subject in that situation ? I am sorry but I didn’t quite understand that topic, pls explain……..
Hello. Do you do private tutoring for SAT? If yes I would like to join. I am taking SAT in August and I’ve been studying for several months and can’t get above 1260😅😅
Sometimes you need one before a quote, sometimes you don’t. Just do the read and pause method. If you can read it without pausing, do NOT pick the comma
Why doesn't the bluebook give multiple exams? After you complete the first one, if you want to keeo practicing they give the dame exact questions all over again. Doesn't seem beneficial for studying at all.

#22, I have a little confusion here. Whenever we have a direct speech, are we not supposed to have a comma before the quotation?
Really helpful sis!

Absolutely! US - 2024
There are history and science passages on the DSAT, as well as poetry

omg congratulations
In google play store, mine is showing that my device is not suitable for the preptly app. Any suggestion on how can I get it?
Okay, not good not to know grammar tenses. Both "have been/has been" are in the PRESENT PERFECT TENSE. The PAST PERFECT would be "HAD been!!! "
There are litreally little to no practice tests out there it's actually not fair tbh.
for question 24 tho, why cant just "food" be the answer?
10000🤩🤩
Your videos are super helpful.
And you are super duper pretty 🥹✨
🥰🥰🥰
Mam at 4:25, when you put "had been" as another option, wouldn't the better answer be had been? Could you please respond?
She said has been because it’s still on going in the present, even though back then in past the girl won the award
@aayushpandey6725 like it’s something that happened recently in connection to the past
For 22 why is there no comma at the end of the answer choice even though it is setting up a quote?
I guess none of the options fit there better than C
Plus there are situations where we don’t necessarily need comma before quote
Were i ca get the APE

also hyphens are used to create emphasis !!
