Thanks man, it’s such a cool bike. And as you can see within a week or two we are here! I plan to post up anything I design for the bike. So if you have a 3D printer follow along.
@@JCNY718 I diy most of most own battery since learning how to. If using the 52v pack I showed in video I have went 25 miles at around 25/30 mph with plenty left. 52v was not much slower, how ever I honestly did less testing with 52v since I really wanted that 40mph. With all hub motors, and we are speaking with general tuning. More volts= higher top speed. So if you can give up some top end, and use a 14s(52v) with high P you will get very long distance. Watt hours is what determines the final distance.
You say that torque goes DOWN with increased voltage? I thought the torque of the motor is directly proportional to the square of the supply voltage. So like, if voltage decreases, torque will decrease as well as RPM. But you are saying because the 52v allows 50 amps vs the 72v that allows just 30, that also plays into the torque. Ahh. Gotcha. I think I answered my own question, lol.
1/4 mile run is flooring it the entire run. Most my driving around is just cruising and much easier on it. How ever I upgraded motors for more speed now so I can say how long stock would of lasted
@@gmeister03 finishing up the tuning now, been slacking on updates. I did some custom frame mods. After doing the new hub I found it needed some extensions. Added 7" extensions to the frame and its much better.
@@skewedfpv629 only on the motor on long distance road. Controller runs better here than where mounted previously. Using field weakening creates some heat. Also I run low tire pressure.
@@BuildItTuneItEV that sounds very promising! I noticed a bit of heat in the motor as well after some hill runs through snow, controller side of the case stayed cool on my end too.
A smaller amp and wattage battery was able to out preform the higher amp lower voltage battery. And since than I have build a 60 amp 72v battery and it does wheelies lol.
That's not true I have a 52 volt 21 amp battery with a 52 tooth sprocket and the smallest Shimano 9 speed cassette and I can easily do 75 miles a HR on it it's so fast I never passed level 7 or 7th gear . On level 3 and 7th gear I can hit spears almost 50 miles an HR. I have the bafang 1000 watt high performance midrive your bike is junk I built my own.🤣😂😋😝😎
This is awesome! Glad to see another high powered Z1
Thanks man, thinking of going phase runner and DD45. But it’s been so much fun as is, which I had some field weakening with this controller.
What’s your setup?
Mike Adkins 72v 60amp controller with a 3kw hub
@@Rayalas323 big boy stuff🤟🤟
Mike Adkins 72v is the way to go!
Excellent!!! A proper mod with good speed. Keep grinding and growing
Very cool! This is my favorite super73 bike (well the only one I would buy) would def mod it like your bike.

@@BuildItTuneItEV how much range can you get with the 52v? I’m currently riding an Onyx RCR but I wouldn’t mind getting a project bike.

Think about 52V to my SUPER73 ZG for about 100km range. The serial motor looks very friendly to do that.Nice video and you got my SUB Bro
Thank you
I just ordered the same exact color I was going to get the RX but I like the looks of this one better also subscribed👍😎😎
Good video do u have the link were u got the controller from?

Only because I was using a lower amperage 72v battery here.
72v offers more tq if similar wattage.
Cool Vid. Would like to see a step by step on a battery build.
I need to get a little more practice but I hope to do one.
how do i make my super 73 z1 go faster?
nice. question is that it is safe for the motors for 1/4 miles run is not bad but how about if you riding it all day

@@BuildItTuneItEVwhat kind of motor did you put?
👍🚀
How can I do that?
Are you not afraid of burning out the 500 watt motor??
No
yo whered you get the cool throttle from?
Awesome speed😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
im looking to upgrade my z1. can you leave a link to your controller.
Hold on how that battery without speed display?
Are you able to use a qs motor? 72v with 100 amp bms would be fun
Yes, Now I have QS205 V3 2.5T With 200amp controller. Much more fun.
@@BuildItTuneItEV 200…. That’ll work

Interesting 🧐
Which video has controller info 😔
Any amazon 48V controller that supports brushless will work!
Would you be willing to share the stl for the bbshd + phaserunner cover?
Yes, I am working on final revision with gasket to upload.
@@BuildItTuneItEV Thank you for sharing! And good thinking on the gasket. Have you noticed any heat build up yet?

So all I need is a bigger battery to make it go faster?
How many wats motor you use
Did you change out the original 36 volt controller?
Yes
What motor is that?
Did you have to clip the white wire in the controller to go above 20mph, besides the battery packs ???🤔
This is awesome! I like upgrade my z1 to 52v but is it worth it? My top speed now is 28mph with the speed hack
How much watts was it?
1500W controller here.
Change controler the 48 a 72 volt
Huh?
wow, so it all comes down to controller amps, 72v vs 52v not much of a difference there...
