- The XOP Saddle is going to be a great tool for this fall. It is on the cheaper side, but it works great, I know it is not going to fall apart on me.
PROS: Only $200, It works for what it's designed for, It's sweet for navigating around the tree, It's quiet, the platform is super soilid.
CONS: The Saddle is not super adjustable, It does get uncomfortable after a while.
That's about it! You get what you pay for, and I beleive you do get slightly more than what you pay for.

3rd rope is the linesman rope to go around the tree so you’re secured while you set up the the tether/bridge. Like fall protection with two lanyards. You Hook #2 before unhooking and moving #1

Push platform down good and hard before you lay the base down. It will further cinch platform in place so it does not shift on you. FYI
Get you an ascender if you plan to use it in the field, much easier. This is the setup I have with xop mini sticks. First year saddle hunting for me. Goodluck this year

Saddle are so versatile. I shot my buck this year out of my saddle. The tree I was in was pretty crooked and I couldn’t get a hang on stand in it

I'm torn between just buying this, or just a trophy line cover lite saddle because my cousin has extra gear so I only reall need the saddle for now, as you said, upgrade the saddle so I'm going to get the TL
The saddle isn’t the comfiest. My buddy has a cruzr saddle and it’s like sitting in a recliner up there. Very comfortable, but is pricey for a saddle too.

I think the extra "leg straps" are for you to put your foot on and relieve weight on the crotch straps in the event you're hanging for awhile after a fall. But I could be wrong.
The other leg straps are to be used if using the harness as a 5 point harness for tree stands.
Shorten them ropes up and you’ll be much more comfortable

I just got this and the carabiner(the clip) is solid. It’s not going anywhere. The ropes attached to the carabiner are also rated for 3500lbs I thinks it’s safe😅
