@@SuperMegaImbaLord Actually, they are on the same pace as other reactors who started one piece after the live action. So they are like a month or two behind which is not much to be honest.
Also, its not Naruto with 200+ hours of flashbacks. its not like we are missing much.
They're continuing it. These uploads are, I believe, three weeks behind? I'm not part of their Patreon, but that seems to be the rule among reactors with Patreon lockouts, which is fine. The comments we (the ones not part of their Patreon page) make are just reminders to them. They are ahead by three weeks, so yeah. They're definitely continuing with One Piece.

1015 is a legendary episode, I still get chills thinking about it.
I always find the pinwheel part incredible and touching, it's something so simple and characteristic of Genzo that you don't think that this funny object is meant to make Nami smile. I was a little disappointed that Genzo didn't have as much weight in Nami's life in the live action, but I'm glad that they now know the true potential of each character in the anime!
Fully agree. You definitely get the sense Genzo is Nami's father role, but we don't really see it in the live action.
I think the live action did pretty well for about everything except Arlong Park. I think it should've been an episode or so longer so they would actually take their time with it, they took out so much out of the arc
and the fact that with Genzo and his PINWHEEL being the one that makes Nami smile as a baby, as a grown-up Nami, a rubber boy from WINDMILL village makes her smile this time. It always has been a CYCLE!
Yeah, Arlong Park in the LA was a miss, especially Nami's relationship with Nojiko and the village. There was no real meaning behind Gen pinwheel or Nojiko's tattoo in the LA.
Yeah, I like OPLA very much, but the problem there is that there wasnt enought time for somethings example like that. Its understandble that they didnt have that time to use because someone wanted it to be only 8 episodes, right? So they had to cut many things.

For me the most emotional moment was when Dadan was beating up Garp after marineford. She's also such an amazing "mum".
The One Piece community just received your wanted posters except it says, "Finished Arlong Park". And we smile and are proud. We stick it on the wall and tell people, look they're off to Loguetown!
Zeff, Kaya, Makino (the bar lady), and all of the townspeople who can't go on an adventure are living vicariously through Luffy.

I've not seen a reactor who learned about One Piece from the live action able to stop at the end of East Blue arc, that's how good the anime is

6 episodes per week, being around 50 weeks a year, that's around 300 episodes a year, this amounts to 3-4 years of content, One Piece is huge, yet every fan will always tell you it doesn't feel long enough. Keep it up! We're all excited to watch it alongside! 😁
By that point, it'll definitely be closer to that 4 year mark. EDIT: Scratch that, it will be past that unless Toei takes one of their 3 month breaks again...

The main reason I think Nami stole everyones' wallets was both to piss them off but also to have something to remember everyone by
The image of Nami just having a drawer in her ship room of everyone’s wallets that she took throughout their travels until now is such a sweet headcanon. She pulls it out whenever she’s feeling homesick and matches villager to corresponding wallet just to reminisce in fondness. 🥺
I'm pretty sure author intended it to be open to interpretation. It's better that way.
She did carry their lives on her back for 8 year from being a child.
I also think it is because she did not want the villagers to feel like they owed her anything after all she did for them. So she stole all their wallets. Also it just fits with her character being a cat burglar that loves money. It's also just a way for her to make the goodbye feel easier. Just how I always looked at it

I'm a lurker and don't typically comment, but I wanted to say that I really enjoy your reactions to this show. I first started watching (and then reading) One Piece years ago, and I love seeing people new to the series get into it!
As siblings, its clear you both have a strong chemistry with each other, and I especially like how you both reacted to Nami's story (specifically her relationship with her own sister)! As it so happens, my daughter was born just last year and my wife and I are thinking of having another child, and I've been thinking that if we do have another girl, I would like to see her and her older sister have the kind of relationship you two seem to have with each other. It's one of the things that keeps me coming back to this channel. 😄

Im here just to remind you, this anime started on October 20, 1999.
It's has been 24 years of awesomeness.
No matter how many times I see it, Nami's goodbye episode always makes me tear up.
One Piece is in the final saga, and now you have an opportunity to learn about the One Piece with the rest of us.
You won't regret it.
The 98.72% is so specific, i love it lmao the pinwheel at the end always gets me, it's so beautiful, same for Nojiko getting the tattoo for Nami😢

Nami, Nojiko and Bellmere's story is so touching to me even after all these years. It's very well done.
Kinda bland compared to what happens forward.
Arlong Park is a beloved story, and I think so much of that is because the denouement is just as good as the buildup and the climax.
@@wikansaktianto9215 Out of all Strawhats including Robin, only Nami's backstory to present is the one that feels complete and heartwarming. Others might be darker and sadder, but in these terms none comes close with the exception of chopper's.

To be honest it's harder to say in Japanese.
"goshuushousama deshita" means my condolences. It's something even people who study Japanese can have a hard time pronouncing correctly or even knowing about .
But the joke was that Luffy confused it with "gochisousama deshita", which is thanking for the meal after eating. The phrase Luffy is most familiar with.
Luffy with his huge smile on his bounty contrasts with all the other bounty posters. That is how a man should act, not with hard self centered confidence, but with heart warming welcoming to his friends.

the scar thing was cut out from the initial flashback because it was considered too drastic. the scene never appeared in the regular anime
it was depicted in a special episode that shows luffy's origin story again some 15 years after the anime started

Edit: So glad you girls did what we all knew you would in the end and committed to watching the series irrespective of the live action, it's so fun watching you fall in love with this world. I heard it said once that there's nothing a One Piece fan loves more than watching someone else fall in love with this series, and that continues to hold true. When you said you wanted to watch One Piece and never stop, it got me curious and I checked: There are over 436 hours of One Piece, so you could literally watch and never stop for over two months before you ran out. Longer if you slept. XD

It's a "must" to continue watching. If you're afraid and think it will ruined you guys live action experience, you're wrong. The manga, anime, and live action are different stories.

Yes! I'm so happy you guys decided to continue! I knew it but still! I've been watching One Piece since i was a little girl and never got bored of it. I do recommend watching the fillers bcuz it's still canon and helpfull for future episodes. Also One Piece does not have many fillers. I'm so excited for more, rlly love your reactions! It was like i was watching it for the first time, thank you!
Fillers are by definition non-canon, and some of them actually contradict things that happen later in the story. Like even in this episode, Zoro cuts a cannonball... He can't do that yet, and it's a major plot point in the future. I agree that they are nice to see more of the crew just goofing around though.
@@Distant_View there are some fillers that are half canon half filler though, like the guy from warship island being on the sunny during reverse mountain.

Such a wholesome and fun One Piece reaction duo lolol. You guys get the ~spirit~ of the show too. I never thought I'd sit here and rewatch One piece from the beginning for the millionth time, but i guess here we go again lol.
My favorite part about Nami leaving the village with such fun and cheeky way is that now they can have the same dynamic just like in her childhood when she was stealing things. I'm so glad that she can act like that with the villagers again, such a wholesome end leading back the to the simpler and happier times before Arlong 😊

fun fact, youve already seen a bit of logutown! at the very very beginning of the live-action, you see gold rogers execution (what you essentially also see everytime the first opening plays in the anime). that big town square with all those people where they stabbed him on the big platform. that was loguetown 22 years ago! im SO excited for you to get farther into the show, there is SO MUCH good stuff waiting for you, believe me :DDD

Anyone talking shit about one piece hasnt experienced a series with an episode like episode 44. The party, the goodbyes, the callbacks, the comedy, the reveals, the wholesomeness. No series does it like this.
These moments and the lore stuff later are why one piece is so beloved by so many people.

The barrel scene comes a few episodes later in the Anime. they probably decided to place it at the end of season 1 of the LA because of how climactic it feels and how it gives a feeling of excitement for what’s to come.
I absolutely get why they had to cut down Arlong Park for the live action, but they absolutely did Bellemere, Nojiko, and Genzo dirty by doing so.
Genzo especially. In the manga and anime you really get that he's basically Nami and Nojiko's father figure and how much he loves them.
One of the highlights of my week has been watching you two experience One Piece. So happy you chose to watch, the reactions are priceless.

How Luffy got his scar was cut out entirely of the anime adaptation due to censorship. But the live-action more or less did it exactly as how it played out in the manga. There's a re-animated version of the first chapter that came out later on and that one included how he got his scar.

Loguetown, as in prologue and epilogue. It's the prologue to the series where Rogers was executed, and some people think it will be where the epilogue of the series also takes place.

Not because its amazing (its actually funny) but because the Studio mixed Canon Content with FIller Content.
If you skip it, you won't see the Barrel Scene nor how they enter the Grand Line.

Since you don't want to watch filler, I should tell you: The first "full filler" episode, according to all lists I've seen so far, contains a (slightly altered) canon moment that explains your question, why they can't go to the grand line directly. So I recommend you watch episode 54 at least up to that point. (The rest of that filler arc is amongst the better ones imho, so if you want to keep watching, that'd be an all right one to do it.)
