I am going to get the same tank as but going to have it against a wall with a gap to clean but working out the cost of the set up. To have the kind of setup as yours well different just the amount of corals and fish what are you looking at in price roughly. Obviously would not add it that quick gradual process thanks loving your watching the show
I'm getting a reef 220.6 next week. I`m debating the Clarisea SK-500. How has it performed for you? was it worth the glass breaking aggravation? and how long is a roll lasting? Great videos BTW.
6-8 weeks on average, some longer depends how much stuff is in your water. first few will go quikcer then over time they will last longer and longer. I much prefer them to dealing with socks every few days
hahaha I was asking my self the same thing :P That last baffle was just sooo tight.. i couldnt get the razor in to cut the silicone on it... should have used a glass cutter! :P
In hindsight a pretty good size rubber mallet would’ve been a better choice. Metal and glass not a good combination. Being a mechanic it’s kind of like aluminum and steel they don’t get along oh well you fix it that’s all that matters good luck with your new toy.Expensive toy LOL
I have a question for you. Is it possible to change out the plumbing system on the waterbox tank? What I want to do is change out the bulkhead system and all. I just want standard plumbing and bulkheads on the tank. You have any ideas on this?
Hey dev , I know its a Older video but , I'm in the market for a new tank. I'm upgrading from the diy build i started with. I'm looking at the waterbox 90.3. how was the stand to level. Also I now that this tank is on your stair how stable is the stand and tank? Thank in advance for any and all info!
There is a bazillion leveling feet on the bottom so it’s pretty easy get it level hardest part is just making mini adjustment to get them all perfect. Overall awesome stand. Very well built
Hello that's a really nice fish tank but I would not have it so close to the staircase like that someone can accidentally hit it and it will fall over the staircase if I was you I would think about finding a new location for the fish tank thank you for sharing
Out of coristy how big is your current tank? Have you ever tried to move it? I know my prior tank which was smaller... i couldn't budge it with all my might when it was full of water. This one likely weights about 2,000lbs plus so not overly worried about it moving. I have throught about putting a few long screws into the floor to prevent it.. may still do that.. but its solid!
Sill going strong. very happy with the waterbox its a very premium tank. if you are looking at once they do have them on sale today (atleast i think they do) for their blue Friday event
Can you tell us please or better yet show us in the next update for this tank if the weir inside the tank for the over flow box is glass or plastic and how many holes drilled for the drain and returns
The entire overflow tower including the weir is all glass, even the lid! :) There is 1 return that splits into 2 at the top of the over flow box and 2 drains.
good to know! i will try that next time! the one baffle that i ended up using force on was soo tight to the edges i couldnt even get dental floss or a razon in there
What kind of light rail is that? Looking for one just like that for my WB 6025 to mount 3 Radion xr30 g6’s. Can’t seem to find any like that. Can you share a link for where you got it?
im really new to the world of aquariums so sorry if this is a dumb question but i wanted to understand how you would hook up that clarisea unit. That Sump has a small area that the overflow downpipe feeds into from the main tank. As i understand it the clarisea has a fitting on bottom that you are meant to connect the overflow downpipe onto. You only modify the compartment where the socks are located to make room for the Clarisea. For connecting it up do you then reroute the downtime to bypass the original small compartment that they are designed to flow into? Thanks :)
I'm not sure I understand, why do people DIY thick section, rigid posts for their lights instead of simply hanging the fixture from the ceiling? See Red Sea Deluxe systems for a visual. Much visually cleaner install in my opinion and its what I've always personally elected to do.
Then what do you do with the wires? I love the floating look and having nothing above or below the lights. The bar gives me a place to hide the wires as well
@@ReefDudes Either use a cable management sheath common with wall mounted TVs or wire it through the ceiling as you would a conventional chandelier once you've painted the cable to hide. I do agree though, your circumstance hides the vertical member better than most applications.
Maybe, but then i have to change socks every few days...put them in a bucket or wash them.. ect. I'm more on the 'lazy reefer side' and would rather change a filter roll every 2 months.
@@ReefDudes I'm supper lazy. I have 8_10 socks. When they get dirty I make a pile in my bucket. Then I end up washing all of them 3 months later. It takes 10 mins to wash in the washer. 3 months of bumming it for 10 min wash in the washer. You tell me man. I don't see how more work using a roller and breaking the tank is much better.
You used one neutral for two load lines. This is EXTREMELY against code.. The neutral is a load carrying line, meaning the way you have it wired up, it has the ability to carry 40a worth of current without tripping a breaker. That is double its rated (assuming 12 gauge wire). You need to either remove the red line, disconnect if from the breaker and just use the black and white. Or, fish another white neutral wire up from the breaker. The second way is better, because you get to maintain your higher current. The wire you used there is designed for a 240v appliance. Two 120v lines combine in appliance to make 240v and is fed back down the one neutral at 240v. The wattage would be double, but still at only 20a (which is all the wire cares about). I would seriously fix that fast...
Hi, can you please share with me/us full details of the light arm. Like where did you buy it, complete measurements? I saw the video were you said that somebody helped you at the store with the measurements. If you could provide their name? I would like to build the same liggt arm for the peninsula waterbox I am planning to purchase some but I would like to use Kissel lights. Thank you.
ReefDudes would you mind sharing where you got it from or a supply list?I love the clean look of your hanging system. I think it looks better than anything out on the market.

You hacked the sump up exactly like I did (minus the damage ;) ) :) I have just two chambers, a giant fuge area with the Clarisea and a return chamber. I felt bad too but had to be done. I have the WB 230 and it’s awesome.
I'm a newer member and since I first saw the plan for the new tank I couldnt wait to see this happen. That is a great spot to have the tank and the stand looks great. Cant wait to see it progress
I am in the process of setting up the same exact tank. I just subscribed so I can copy your build lol. I think I will keep the socks though. What Skimmer will you be using? I don't think my Nyos 160 is going to be big enough.

Happy to help! Haha. It really is a beautiful tank. So many premium details throughout!
I'd like to know where to buy that led hanging bar
This build is awesome to watch going up, nice and neat!! 👍
Thanks Mok-Yi!
Hi there! I just purchased a Waterbox 7225 and was thinking of ditching the filter socks and go Clarisea. Which one did you get? 3000 or 5000? Did you have to plumb it your tank?
That looks insane 😎👍. Such a beautiful tank.
I bet you have a cheesy grin while walking past the tank atm.
Makes me smile every time!
My face when you were hitting that with a hammer . Saw it coming I'll have to say . But when your there and doing it u just dont do you .
Good save though with the patch . Nice one for showing ya fook up though in your video . Alot of youtubers would of hid it . So good on u .
hehe Thank you! I'm always like to be honest and straight up about it. That and I see value in teaching other from my mistakes! Everything i share is part of my journey and a learning process for me and others! :)
You hacked the sump up exactly like I did (minus the damage ;) ) :) I have just two chambers, a giant fuge area with the Clarisea and a return chamber. I felt bad too but had to be done. I have the WB 230 and it’s awesome.
Beautiful! non peninsula version of mine! hehe nice sump mods! I'm jealousy that yours went more smoothly haha
Glad you were able to repair the sump. Looking forward to the build 🥰
Amazing progress.. love this build.. cant wait to see further progress 😀👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank so much Keto Reefer!
Loving the build Dev....Keep them updates coming. This is going to be epic man💪🏾
Thanks!! pretty stoked for it.. trying to take my time and do it right (every build gets a bit better and a bit slicker!)
I'm a newer member and since I first saw the plan for the new tank I couldnt wait to see this happen. That is a great spot to have the tank and the stand looks great. Cant wait to see it progress
Thank you! I shall keep the updates coming! welcome to the club! :D
Looking great. Feel sorry for the beautiful sump.
It's still beautiful....... and customized!
I am in the process of setting up the same exact tank. I just subscribed so I can copy your build lol. I think I will keep the socks though. What Skimmer will you be using? I don't think my Nyos 160 is going to be big enough.
I went with the Nyos 220, I actually have the 160 but left it on my lagoon tank and decided to get the big brother for this build! Good choice on the tank! it really is beautiful!
@@ReefDudes I wish I liked my nyos 160, I know many do but I'm really not that impressed with mine :(. It's very finicky, I constantly have to mess with it and isn't that quiet, maybe I got a bad one, It was built on Friday lol. My reef octopus 152-s has been a workhorse and its been a set and forget skimmer. I am upgrading from a Waterbox 130.4 and they are beautiful tanks!.
