    I also own a peninsula tank and I have it setup as a room divider. The biggest downside is a lot more walls to clean. I love your tank. The setup is nicely done.

    Funny as a reefer you can notice the most microscopic imperfections that others probably wouldn't notice. My issue is usually in attempting to fix them I make an even bigger problem 😱 glad you finally have some time to do an update, I'm finding as I mature more into this hobby that as time consuming multiple tanks can be, I like being able to create multiple setups, making one tank more of an LPS tank, another a mix reef. Ideally having just 1 would make things a lot easier, but this is coming from someone with multiple tank syndrome. Hopefully as time goes on I can go from 3 nanos, to possibly 2 so that my focus isn't always split.

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  4 роки тому

      I keep gaining more tanks then consolidating then more then consolidating.. a little big with each consolidation! Haha so true! Things will bug you that most likely wouldn’t notice. But I dispose that’s everyone with their own tank!

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  4 роки тому +1

      no3/po4 were pretty high as i didnt have a refugium or any export aside from skimmer for the first to months along with alot of fish. this is mainly because i didnt want to change the plumbing twice while having to adapt it.. a few weeks back when i realized the crazy nutrients i decided to throw a ton of export at it to get things back in check until i finish off the sump

    • @mqazi0007
      @mqazi0007 4 роки тому

      @@ReefDudes thx. i tried vibrant, ended up with cyano matt. used chemi clean and it faded in 2 weeks. now exporting with wet skim and cheto to take out po4 and no3 in some ratio naturally. chemiclean did take out my bacteria which was developed with Randys vinegar regime. no3 now around under 10 from 2.5. po4 is going down automatically without gfo btw, so cant use algae scrbr. following you tank . regards

    Isn't the Sailfin Tang kinda pushing it, for a tank this size? In general, that amount of Zebrasoma Tangs in this size tank might lead to trouble in the future. Often they get meaner with age.

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  4 роки тому

      all but 2 yellow tangs all came from a tank shutdown and have already been together for years and years. Tank is 6' 200g ish which is a bit bigger than the previous owners.. so far about 4 months in and they have been more or less playing nice. Big thing is feeding well. If hungry aggression in fish tends to be higher. i find they are much more docile when well fed

      My lights are currently a mix of g4 and g5. Once I finish upgrading them all to g5. I’ll do a video on my schedule and par test the tank :)

    i used kz cyanoclean but it keep them in check. don't allow them to cover life rock. only cover sand and keep them skinny. but it doesn't remove them. kz treatment is only for 2 weeks but it require other 2 products you need to purchase it and this is not good because only one product should take care of cyano, why we would buy 3 products for this issue? good luck

      Ah dang! I only got the one... I have never used it and figured its worth a try! I like to experiment alot so i can better speak on different situations and options.. good old chemiclean will be the backup plan if it doesnt rid it after a month or so.

    That’s the bad thing about this hobby...ADDICTION TO CORAL!!! I finally got over it and I have not been interested in getting coral. I also only have 3 pieces on my sandbed I used to have so many.
