As a newbie to lead guitar , can I ask, backing track is in C major and your showing undernearh the C minor pentatonic scale ...is that the standard formula...when soloing ?

So, in blues, that traditional sound we are used to hearing is the minor scale being played over major chords. You can also use the major scale, but it is the mix of both that gives that characteristic blues sound.
