Hi all, hope you're enjoying the video! Just want to clarify that this is a personal project of Fletcher's, and we thought it would be cool to show off his ideas and techniques in this video. However this is not an indication or a preview of us playing 30k, at least not anytime soon. Never say never of course, but there are currently no plans for us to produce Heresy Reports at the moment. The next system we're looking at making content for will be The Old World 🙂
If you decide to have a go at Horus Heresy, please get a White Scars Army! Their Horus Heresy design just ouze style and they have a nice mobile play style which can be bikes or infantry heavy or even lots of tanks. Their books are also the best in the whole Horus Heresy imo.
I cannot express just how much I yearned for this type of video, as someone who is slowly painting their own army, seeing such well-produced showcases of someone else's process is truly inspiring and motivating, and these videos are so rare to come by, given the amount of effort and work behind them. Truly grateful!
Fletcher is a master. I love these videos - he manages to convey his thought process, which for someone that is not an artist, is incredibly helpful. More of these as time allows, team!
I admire the amount of care and passion you put into your painting. Every step is so thoroughly thought out and executed perfectly across the entire army. They look stunning, keep it up!
I understand why they don't want to do it from a business perspective, but on the other hand modern 40k has been gutted when it comes to interesting rules. I really much more enjoy watching a good HH report compared to anything 10th-related (except boarding actions XD). I guess the worst thing is we won't see Fletcher's army in action :(
@@jb87rell heresy player and fan here AoS is an incredible system imo, very thematic and punchy rules, fast paced, easy to learn and hard to master. There's a lot of tactical depth between warscroll abilities and mechanics like command abilities and heroic actions; the design of that game is incredible. I, too, tire of heresy players putting down other systems instead of lauding our own. 40k is a point of sadness for me and many other grognards because, while I love that they've made the game faster and easier to pick up and play than ever, I feel disappointed that the unique army rules don't feel very inspired. The world eaters probably have the best designed/executed rules out of all the 40k armies in 10th and many of the other armies just feel empty or like they feel limited compared to what they once were.
Fletcher is an amazing artist. I’ve been following his Instagram for a while now and been really looking forward to seeing his SOH tutorial. Amazing work as always, keep up the great content!!
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for this vid, Fletcher. You're a big inspiration for me and I appreciate you taking the time to make this videos and share your art. You're doing great work and I love getting to see your art on display both here and in battle reports. Thanks man and keep up the great work!
Beautiful paint scheme! It's an awesome one to share as achieving the base is relatively easy and you can add as little or as much from there. Thanks for sharing Fletcher.
I've really enjoyed seeing Fletcher's progress on IG, glad that there's a full display of his process here. Fantastic presentation too. I plan on doing a similar process for my HH Space Wolves!
Love This Video can tell you are both proud and chuffed to have completed the Army thanks for the small tip's and suggestions for all those who take part in the hobby keep up the great work you do for TT :)
I really appreciate this video. I love the thought process on how you approached this. As someone who's starting their White Scars Heresy army this helped me fill in some of the specifics I was struggling with. Thank you again.
My favorite video of yours to date! I really like how these came out and will take inspiration when I experiment with my own SoH paint scheme. The main thing I would change is how you highlighted the black. If the environment is warm (yellow/orange) your highlight on the black doesn't match. It does create a nice cool contrast, but I would start creating a grey with the skin tone that was mixed into the highlight of the armor.
Such a good tutorial. You make things very easy to follow. I don't know if it is out there already, but I would love some Painting Basics from Fletcher. Things like "How does he maintain such a sharp point on the brush" and "how to apply decals using Micro-Sol/Set"
Good lord man. One of the best paintjobs ive seen. Nothing insane but completely and utterly executed to perfection imo. Makin me want to start HH with SOH now lol
Is there any chance that we'll see you guys play 30k? One additional question Fletcher, your normal faces also look pretty damn good. Compared to maloghurts (assuming same techniques here), which of the paints would you swap out and replace with which to get the result of the normal bare head you showed on one of your regular marines?
I’d use straight gulliman flesh for the first wash, then cadian/silver grey for the highlights, and evil sunz for some glazing. I filmed a full face tutorial painting standard caucasian skin so that’ll be up On Demand at some point! -Fletch
Really enjoyed this tutorial. The army looks so good displayed all together. Are you able to tell me where I can purchase those bases from? Amazing work!
I'd love to recreate this type of paint scheme, no pre-shade/ pre-highlight, a simple base coat as a shadow, 1st highlight as a mid tone, 2nd highlight just to make it pop (especially with that wonderful pastel-ish green). But I collect Fists and... yellow. You're basically forced to do the brown or pink pre-shade technique so your shadows are either brown or orange and I've never liked how it looks.
Super cool army and amazing paint job! You have inspired me to make my own Sons of Horus Army. I am curious how you would paint up Horus himself and Justaerin terminators. I would have liked to see you play a game with your gorgeous army!

Looks fantastic. Which Old World armies are the TT team most excited for?
Well, you should. Definitively. Hope you change your mind in the future
Sad to hear that, but we cannot force you of course. Would be sure to tune in when you guys would take the plunge.
And I had my hopes up, you’re crushing my soul, just so you know
One of the best painters on youtube right now, consistently brilliant, and something everyone should aspire to
What a gorgeous army.. Downright amazing. Would love to see, if you'll continue, the growth of the army!
Horus Ascended next! -Fletch

Much better than AoS that's for sure
@@ThePipLadfunny how often 30k fans can't just speak to the merits of the game they have to put down another game🤔

One of the best tutorials on youtube. Master class!
This is so good!! Much better than a lot of the painters on yt and other media who skip the steps and detail, and only show the final project.
All I am saying is that it would be awesome to get some Horus Heresy bat reps on the channel.
Such well painted Sons of Horus as well.
More painting videos please :) Good job Fletcher.

This was fantastic! Can we have more videos like this please?
Absolutely insane, I love HH style, it is just another level. I would love some HH battle reports from you guys.
Great video, deserves way more positive attention than it has received!
Beautiful paint scheme! It's an awesome one to share as achieving the base is relatively easy and you can add as little or as much from there. Thanks for sharing Fletcher.
Outstanding work Fletcher! An amazing army and a really well presented tutorial, 10/10 bud! More of these please.

Gorgeous paint scheme, and great techniques. What an army!
I can not understate just how fantastic this video is.

That is a stunning force! I need a Maloghurst in my own force now.
Your guide to airbrushing is what convinced me to "pull the trigger" and get my own! Love your hobby guides; keep them coming!
Glad to hear it! More to come. -Fletch
An absolutely gorgeous army!
Thanks! How did you paint the skin?
The best eyes lenses I’ve ever seen! Fantastic video 🙏

Good ideas thanks! I did a Chaos Knight tutorial around a year ago that covers microset/sol in more detail here on our UA-cam. -Fletch
Amazing work, never thought about mixing the varnishes together. Is there a specific ratio you used?
Good lord man. One of the best paintjobs ive seen. Nothing insane but completely and utterly executed to perfection imo. Makin me want to start HH with SOH now lol
These are the kind of videos I love. Please bring back some progress updates on the 13th Company Space Wolves!
Nothing to report yet but they will be done at some point, I’m very keen to continue with them! -Fletch
Amazing army! Do more Horis Heresy stuff guys!
This was epic!!! Such a great painting tutorial, would love to see more tutorials
Great stuff, a very clean style as well, made it look easy!
This was amazing! Thanks for giving so much detail and keeping a ton of the painting in the video. It’s really very helpful
Beautiful work. Wish the team would start playing some Horus Heresy.
Wow, can’t believe how good they look
Splendid army, the armor is great, the lenses are awesome, but I think it's the bases that make the difference
Awesome work man, and some really useful tips and tricks there. Thanks for sharing!
would loooove to see more of these! Amazing work!
learned a lot watching this, awesome paint job
That Ferrus paintjob was sick
Stunningly beautiful
The eye glow is unreal!

Great vid, they turned out awesome.
Awesome. Beautiful
Stunning army.
Amazing project. I'm speechless.

Wow!! What an amazing video! Thank You. Would you be so kind and do a tutorial about your tanks? I never know where to put the highlights. Thank You

Fantastic work 👏
Sweet baby Horus, those look absolutely stunning. Really impressive work.
Are you planning to add to the army?
I'm gonna to give this style a shot for my Night Lords

Great video. Fantastic work.
Amazing Paint Job!
These are so amazing.
Its beautiful 😍 now I need also a sons of Horus army 😅
Where do you find this basing ? These are incredible !
Amazing work.
Fletcher, your work is phenomenal!!! You could give Siege Studios a run for their money!
Awesome video and amazing looking army! Where did you get the resin bases from?
Unreal Wargaming! -Fletch
I always appreciate Fletcher's tutorials, he has a lovely calm manner and clearly explains the steps. These filthy traitors look great!
Very nice, but are we going to get to see some Horus Heresy battle reports on the channel?
This was incredible. I don’t think i appropriated the time, effort, and skill put into the studio armies (and my local gaming groups).
Amazing!
If we don't get HH bat reps, I'm flipping my table. We need one of the big YT channels to do them
Another vote for Tabletop Tactics to play 30K!
