Great tutorial, nice to see that you are showing the versatility of the contrast paints, really helped me to learn how you create such realistic skin tones. Thank you
4:30 I've also really started to enjoy base coating more areas around what I'm working on. Not only does it make cleanup easier, it helps frame the piece I'm working on. I find it helps a lot with evaluating blends etc.
Something I found works as a nice wash for tabletop standard or a started basecoat for flesh is AK Deep Shades Human Skin (a bit too pink) mixed with Army painter flesh wash (a bit too brown) and diluted with medium
Not sure what you are filming this with, but the constant shift of sharpness really makes it difficult to follow the video. Maybe you can lock the focus of the camera device to a certain distance, instead of having an autofocus.
While it looks great, why should the eye be blind? You need two eyes for depth perception or are we pretending now that this is an unimportant detail for an marine? 🤔
This is a great holiday gift from all of you at CoP to give us poor non Patron scrubs access to this masterclass. Thanks all!
Merry Christmas 😅

Such a great video packed with tips and advice. Really enjoyed it.
I agree contrast paints make wonderful glazes and washes. I have a lot of fun with using them that way.
Does anyone even use contrast paint as advertised? Is either glazing/washing or through the airbrush 😂

Brilliant. Thank you for doing these.
Ah, I was waiting for this, what a great way to wake up :) Merry Christmas, Cult of Paint
Great tutorial, thanks Andy
These are going to be a huge help when I get my malaghurst together!

I think I may have to order some Contrast paints! Thanks
Cool as always.
Cool
The skin looks absolutely unreal. How many hours all up went into Maloghurst?
How did you do the gold? 👀
That colour is amazing!

I don’t use autofocus anymore, this is an old video from the archives

Great work! But the auto-focus on the camera is infuriating.
Yea I don’t use it anymore, this video is 2 years old
