- Dinkum is a sensational and relaxing farming, community, gathering, building game set in the Australian Outback with major notes of Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Terraria. It has its own feel and is a joy to play. In this guide, I will start a brand new game and walk you through the basics of the controls, the UI, and tips and tricks to help you thrive in the beginning of the game. This is a completely non-spoiler guide, meant only to help you learn the fundamentals so you can explore and enjoy the surprises the game offers on your own. Dinkum is a ton of fun, but there are a lot of moving parts and small details that need to be understood to fully enjoy it. This guide is meant for you to play along or watch to hear my thought process and see how everything is done within the flow and context of an actual game.

Great tutorial! In most beginner walkthroughs the narrator takes a lot for granted and skips over something like “use the A button for that” and instead just says “pick up all the wood hs store it” with no other context. Thanks for providing the details.

No that difficult to compare the buttons in the options if you're unsure of it. Guide's pretty good for beginners such as myself (and I play exclusively M&K)
