Hey my man! Got the code P04F0 for a 2018 mustang ecoboost and took it to a Firestone shop. They ran a diagnostic test and said to replace the defective part is with part # Cm5233. When I got the sensor I thought it was the low Pressure fuel rail sensor but the pieces are different and noticed is was different part#. However, going back to the obd code P04F0 you mentioned the issue is the purge valve. Any insight would be great!
No because the solenoid is supposed to pulse if it’s disconnected and still drawing in vacuum the valve has failed because it’s normal state is shut and closed should be drawing in no air
I got the same problem on my 2012 f150 ecoboost bro My truck starts & has no power & then stalls out It has the purge valve code but i changed the purge vavle the high pressure fuel pump & the throttle body & still having the issue
@@HickedUp thanks for the help but i also figured out it keeps blowing fuse 76 when i turn on the truck would that also be the problem ? I will change the fuel pump in the fuel tank & see if that helps. Its been months & i cant figure it out alot of people are saying it could be a short in the wiring or a bad wiring somewhere
@@Thegoat1998 that, I'm not sure. Looking at the fuse diagram for the 3.5l it looks like the canister vent solenoid, of which I've actually had to replace. May be bad wiring for a wrecked solenoid.
Any 0bd2 scan took should be able to clear the code... If you have Ford's I recommend buying a forscan tool ($20-50) and using your laptop with forscan... You can do lots of things on a Ford with the forscan software with just a little bit of learning... But if you don't want to bother with that Walmart and harbor freight both sell a cheap obd2 scanner for around $20 that should be able to reset the code
@JoeTheAutoGuy The only thing I've noticed about my 3.5 17 Lariat is that, after a fill up it kinda acts up and the idle is not very good in the beginning of the fill up 🤔

What If the purge valve is stuck closed? There will be no vacuum on idle with the plug connected.
Valid but usually you will get a no purge flow dtc if it’s stuck closed
Hey Joe, have a 2014 eco boost with a P0451 code. Auto Zone guy said it’s the canister purge valve. Is this the same as what you just showed?

I got code p0496 and p0451. I replaced the purge valve with oem but still code popped up again for p0496... do you knoe what else it is?
Would a bad purge valve cause random stall? Or no acceleration while idle gas pedal just goes down. I have replaced throttle body

Is it possible that it could also say check fuel inlet on the dashboard for this issue
it is possible but usually that concern is with the evaporative emissions vent valve side near the fuel tank not the purge on the engine side

They differ by vin best thing to do is call your local ford dealer with your vin number and get the part number

Hard starting after fill up and idle issues and poor fuel mileage and sometimes down on overall power
