This Antonio Mango Tree is cold hardy to 25 degrees Fahrenheit! Give me a comment or question below and hit the "Like" button! :) Mango Trees usually love the heat but hate the cold! Maybe the Antonio Mango Tree is the answer for Gardeners in Sub-Tropical Climates who get a few days or weeks of frost (below 30 degrees) in the winter!

Is this tree still alive and producing?
Fascinating story about Jim's Tony mango tree. My bad Anthony mango tree
Did the mango 🥭 tree adapt and survive?
I'm a Californian that moved to Canada and miss all my tropicals that I've grown and gifted through-out the Year's. So I have collected every seed from tropical fruits eaten. I've bin gifting avocados, mangoes, cherrimoyas, guavas and keeping some for my self. Going on three years with my trees without a green house. I just bring them in from the winter. And I'm moving more North. I let the trees feel the cold at times. Hope they acclimate in time. GOOD CHANNEL BRORHER 🍁☘
Plant your fruit trees first, then invest. Your fruit trees can be busy growing while you are busy investing.
Yeah. While you invest and wait for profit to churn out and your plants to bore fruits, you break your ass off studying for a Phd in philosophy where you finally learn and realize that running all over for money isn't going to make you happier. You live "reasonably" well with "not a ton of money". As soon as you become "obsessed" with money, drugs, food, that is where the problems and the worries really start.
This is the most intelligent thing I’ve heard this week. well said my friend
Depends on stock growth vs tree growth. I sold fruit of side of a road and made $30 to $60 a day.
TampaTec wow !! Are you a millionaire now?
My name is Antonio, I think you have my mango tree lol
WESTCOASTSUR13 Nice!
So what variety is this mango?
+Amaris Santos Antonio mango. lol
WESTCOASTSUR13
i just love your videos #1 Jake fan i have learned so much from you i have a jackfruit ,Black sapote tree and now trying to grow mango trees thank you so much for your info and keep at it i love learning from you!!
100000000% agreed. That is the way to survive in the short future. Blessings!!!
Nice video! I say invest in gardening which is one of my favorite hobbies I enjoy!!Thanks for sharing!
Hey guys! Love to revisit your old videos…I finally got my 3.5 acres on the river with a fruit/flower haven in full production. I have lots to add,,, loquats are one of my favorites along with lychee’s and rambutan. I will be getting one of those mangoes bc occasionally we have one or two nights in the 20’s plus the over story should help protect it. Keep growing!
Living in Connecticut, I have Lemons going indise during the winter about 2 ft tall, i have to keep them in pots forever!
However, I have been learning about fruit trees that can live in this climate, cherries, peaches apples.
Ive started avacados.... but i am failing starting mangos!
Forget germination, this video is super informative! I maxe a similar micture for my tomatoes, and other plants. but now i am satisfied knowing that i have basically been doing the same as you have. and i am doing thing right!
Also any worm i find i thorw into my garden!
i appreciate your passion, i will certainly grow food like u said, u have all the blessings of mother earths vegetation
Pssss !!!! Growing a garden with out a doubt. :D Thanx 4 sharing my friend.
I mainly put it my investment in my mini garden.. it so value for money. thanks guy
I will put 50 % in Stock Market to grow my $$$ and the other 50% in my Garden to grow my own food.
Good idea except I'd think the ratio would be much more stock heavy if only because you don't need fortunes to grow your own.
95% stocks that pay dividends = money to buy all your garden needs
That's awesome to have Mango tree that will be cold tolerant. I have a mango called Mangopiña. English means Mangopineaple. My son bought me one so I could taste it and it taste just like Mango mix with Pineapple. They are delicious. I took the seed and planted it. The plant is around a year and a half. It's growing beautifully. Great video. Loved and Subbed.
I like your enthusiasm .
Can you recommend a reputable seller of this Antonio Mango? 😁
definitely growing my food in my garden !!!
awesome video. perfect timing, we bought a few tropicals from Shamus in the spring and planted them in straight native soil...... there were no survivors, this fall we plan to try again and will use this method, hopefully we have better luck. thanks again
Hey Matt. Use this method and you will be an amazing gardener!
How to grow garlic
That looks like it would survive our temps. Sure would like to try growing an Antonio Mango Tree here in the Texas Prairie Land.
Wow
I have a potted Mango, considering planting it into the garden, in Greece, Zone 9. Not really sure I will, but it needs the space. The northern Indian varieties may be a good buy, because they have mountains and snow there in some Northern Villages.
My best investment are my fruit trees I live in SW Florida and love my velencia mango. But I love my Barbados cheery AKA vitamin C tree is a great selection too.
If only I would've been taught in high school how to grow my own food, I would've been 10 years ahead in my garden. Don't be late for school again boys.
I’m 62 and just bought my dream garden with a house. It’s never too late! I grow papaya, mangoes, bananas, lychee, tons of berries, fig, cherry, apple, pear …anything I can eat and my bunnies and turtles . It’s so rewarding👍🏻❤️
Love your solar panels
Well done mate !!!
Awesome video - I have 3 of these mangos on order from Tim, delivery in March to my home here in central Phoenix. Regarding mixing the different elements of the soil - I do this, but mix it all together in the wheelbarrow before filling the hole, a bit easier than mixing when it's already in the hole. Question: what is your strategy for fertilizing this mango (both substance and timing)? Can wait to see the updates!
I think you're absolutely awesome! You got it right. Your neighbors, the Hopi, say only those who can grow corn will survive. We're destroying our planet, and this country just seems oblivious to the truth.
Garden!!!
great vid man, I have a young 80 cm mango tree but am not
sure what vase size to use. any recommendations?
Thanks
Well how can you grow those plants without water? If you have no money you'll have no garden unless you moved to South Texas or South Florida which never get cold and it rains a lot.
You planted that Guava Tree on the very day of my 60th Birthday !! August 18th 1955.......Smiley Face
It's interesting what you said about your mango trees, how as soon as it gets into the 20's they are affected. Because here in South Florida, my mango tree will get leaf burn in the low 40's. I need look into some hardier varieties.
The most tasty mango trees are in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico. Jobito are the most delicious similar to the one your planting, THANKS so much for the info. I guess I think I'm going to look for Antonio now.
garden for sure!...and then a grey water system.
nice man
I have GOT to see the follow up on this! I've been struggling with the notion of growing mangos in lowlands 'farther' North California, zone 9a. I know of NONE north of San Francisco Bay area and only one there.
Nice tree I like mango Beatiful your different kind of tree👍I live in nort Carolina and II have 3 mango tree but not big like your, my is only 1feet tall; thank you😊👍
Thank you 😊
Hi I am in North Carolina too, where did you purchase your mango trees?
Alot of people need this tree. Im curious just how cold tolerant is it and Can we continue improving its cold tolerance.
What can I use in place of the shamus mix? I have an avocado tree I want to plant. I grew it from a seed.
Growing food most definitely!!!
Ohhh yeahhh!!! Nothing like eating your own organic plants
Hey Jake! How is that Antonio tree doing today? Any thoughts on how I could obtain a tree or a cutting? Thanks
I just picked up my very own Antonio mango tree from Tim himself. I live in central California, where ours highs are around 105 and lows around 25. Tim told me to protect the tree during the first 3 winters. After that, it shouldn't need protection.
+kartman Does he only sell local
Tammy Posey Lovell So he doesn't let people who live out of state buy trees from him?even if they come pick it up?.
I live georgia, usa.will this plants do ok here.nobody grows this tropical plant here that I know
?
How is your tree doing?
Wow you have plenty weapon ! In our place in india we just stick them into the ground and they give us a lot of delicious sweet fruits
great vid man,
i have a question: since i dont like osteen mango fruit very much can i graft an osteen mango with a nam doc mai scion?
great video Vegan Man.
I would put my money on the garden anytime! Wish i could grow mango and cherimoyas my favourite fruits (that i know)
That Mango tree would almost grow in North Central Florida, but sometimes it gets below 20 degree here for a rare few days in winter.
Can you list out all the different soil mixes and products you used? I was having trouble finding more information out about the microrazer (spelling?) which you added to the soil around the 21st minute. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Did you get mangoes from this tree Jake? It's now 1 year on.
Hi Jake, have you ever had any problem with termites, having all those wood chips?
Hi brother, great works ! What kind of mango could be grown in bluffto. South carolina ?
I have very sandy soil, so I am adding compost and some richer soil to mix in along with some mycorrhizal Inoculant around the base of the hole and around the root ball, oh and worm castings. I mix all my ingredients in my wheel barrow. I'm not sure which way is better. Hope we are successful
grow your own, best investment
Home and Garden is what you should do in florids.
John Hayes whats florids?
Growing your own food 👍
Where can I buy that Antonio mango tree jake? I live in stockton California
Hi, Jake, Ol fart here with .16 acre property in Sun City. Have some delicious citrus here I've planted in the past six years. Think I would like to try the Antonio Mango. Will go to your website and join your online gardening school. mike c
Dude, you should really check out High Springs Florida.
nice video! You could have mentioned whether its in fahrenheit to celsius? I assume its fahrenheit as its US?
P.s. a cement mixer makes mixing soil even easier.
It's my go to method when I got a few cubic meters of soil to prep.
Permaculture Playground What a great idea! I could use my compost tumbler in the place of a cement mixer which I don't have. Thanks for the idea!!
You're welcome :)
The last frost has passed here a month back. Will it grow here?
Glad to see you using Azomite, but that isn't hay but it's straw(left overs from raising grain). Hay is dried grasses, clovers and alphalfa.
Hi, are there any fog tolerant mango varieties ?
You just gave me some tips for my mango tree. I think he is ready to go in the ground now so he can produce some fruits for next year. I better start digging the hole and get my tree in the ground.
So doesn't seem like you had to contact your state agricultural dept. to ask any questions, but that mango tree is going to be luxuriant!
Invest in a cement mixer mix all your ingredients then put in a hole that’s how I do my trees. Wow the soil is amazing
What is Mycorrhizae for? I want to move my atemoya to a bigger pot. Can I add this? Pls. advise. Thanks.
How can I grow a Mango in Oregon? Will this variety work?
Hey, it’s you! Your hair looks nice . I didn’t recognize you.
What’s the PH now of that soil “soup”? Is it 6.0 like most mangos need?
Have you thought of adding gypsum to your holes? It helps to break up clay soils.
Would it grow in Flagstaff? Also do you have to have 2 of them for pollinating?
Victoria Novak Hey Victoria! I think Flagstaff would get too cold for Mango Trees! This tree is supposed to be okay in temperatures as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit! :)
Do you know what an "Earthship" is. That's what I want to do. I making a list of what to plant inside or out.
If you don't know...look up Michael Reynolds Earthships. Talk about sustainability. This will amaze you.
Can i get a seed from you i live in Fort Worth Texas and last week the morning time temp got in the 16 deg faraneight
VeganAthlete Hi Sifu Jake, How can I acquire many of the trees you mention in your video? I hear that growing by seed takes much to long. Most of the trees at our local garden store are not acclimated to the low California desert of Mojave. My husband and I are older and cannot drive long range. Will a tree supplier send trees airmail if prepaid? Thank you. Love your shows.
I believe its good to do Both. :)
depends on what i am investing in and when, wish i was around when apple first started, would have invested my money in that... ha ha apple get it!
Never keep your deep cycle batteries near your home my house burned down from having them inside the shed which was about 10 feet from my house. keep the contain in steel casing. I like your info I am starting a mango tree from seeds, do you think they can grow in S.E. Texas?
I wonder if it would do well as a south facing espalier against your house.
So after 4 years what is condition of this mango tree i would like to see on video if u have
Looking good so far (at 20 minutes right now).
Just two questions;
Why not mix up the soil in the wheelbarrow?
Have you heard about making square holes instead of round? It is said that this makes it easier for the roots to penetrate into the native soil. You could even go a far as to shape them a bit like ninja throwing stars :p
Definitely the garden,lol
Excellent video! Do you know anyone who sells them online or sells them in Florida? This would be great for Northern Florida.
Nice vid as always. As a new subscriber I may have missed it but I watched a vid of you using the composter and there were egg shells in them, being a Vegan what do you use the eggs for? Also, would premixing the sand, native soil, compost, azomite work just as well as the way you do it in the hole? Thanks!
Many vegans eat eggs lol but it could be that he just asks for people's organic matter to build compost up
@@machinegunhippy Many vegetarians eat eggs, but vegans by definition do not. That said, most vegans know people who aren't vegan, and it's not that uncommon for vegans to even live with non-vegans friends or family. Of course, it's absolutely also true that real live chickens can hatch from 'eggs', leaving the shell behind which can then be composted.
I might be dutch and a party pooper, but how vegan are all the additives you use ?
Where can we buy Antonio mango tree? Is there another name for it? I can’t seem to find it.
STOCK MARKET!!!! Lol, investing in edible plants is a close second hahah :)
it speaks Gujarati Language like i do, i'm a big fan of kesar mangoes from gujarat ( junagadh).. they're the best tasting mangoes in the whole wide world.. London England
We're can I buy one like this
Where do you buy this variety of mango?
Hey jake, I was wondering if a mango tree could grow in the Dallas area if I bring it indoors in the winter?
pj snedeker Yes I think so! What is the coldest it gets in Dallas?
+pj snedeker I would say try one in the ground and one in a pot! Then compare!
It can get around 20 degrees at night, but it's pretty rare for it to get that low.
But it can also get around 65 degrees here in the winter during the day.
I want one
Where do you buy a Antonio mango?
so will you add this mango tree to black fish?
I live in North Carolina, do you think that Antonio Mango tree work for me?
Hey Jake, where can I buy Antonio mango plant
I hope you are taking a B12 supplement because I've seen plenty of people who are eating healthy but show signs of dementia because of B12 deficiency. This is one of the most important vitamins that vegans can, and should be supplementing with. The other is vitamin c. And yes, even if you have an acerola tree because one cherry or even 20 cherries, while high in vitamin c, are still not sufficient at giving us enough vitamin c to build collagen, stimulate hair growth, protect the eyes, teeth, gums, and detox heavy metals from our cells.
Mark Gailmor most meat eaters are deficient as well.
bokken suburi
Yes, they certainly are.
Can you do a tutorial video on how to train your mangoes to sit
where can we buy an Antonio Mango tree online please?
