I'm just recharging the A/C. Never done it before. Kinda nervous (it involves handling freon after all). I don't quite understand how reliable the gauges are for determining how empty the lines are. I just got back from the store. I got 24oz of R-134a refrigerant, a 10oz can of UV "leak sealer" r-134a, a blacklight lamp. The r-134a comes with a low-end gauge (low end / low pressure...I'm not sure which is the right term). I know I have to rev the engine to 2k RPM and put the AC & Fan on full blast. Not sure what else I need to do, be aware of, or be precautionary of.
Hi, I have a 99 Saturn w an EGR issue. I've replaced it twice and cleaned the last one 3 times but it keeps clogging up. Do you have any idea what is making this happen?
Will I still get a code if I don't place the gasket on it? The reason I'm asking is because I took EGR from my brother's Saturn and put on mine and the check engine light came back on after about 20 miles. We have the same exact car. When I took off the EGR I didn't see a gasket under it
I got a duralast brand one and it came with a gasket. I would go to Chevy or gmc service center and ask them for a gasket. Saturn is a gm product and they should still have the parts in their inventory.
Why do you even need this plugged in and working to make engine run cleaner? Its recirculating the exhaust back into the intake isn't it? Why wouldn't completely fresh air be more clean for the engine to preform better instead of exhaust fumes I guess.. thanks.

Hey man, used your video as a guide to replacing my EGR today. Worked great! Gave you a thumbs up. Thanks. You got anything for A/C systems?

I was told by the front desk guy st auto zone that if you don't replace the gasket the light WILL come back.

Why is it important to reset the codes and what happens if i dont do it?
I dont have that scanner equipment
alex take off one of the terminals on your battery for 10-15 minutes.
The man told me it didn't matter, and it would reset itself eventually, but might take as many as 40 restarts on the vehicle to reset itself
Your vehicle should clear the code after driven for awhile
Where’s the pcv valve in the engine, do you know?
I believe it's that straight hose behind the valve cover
I don't I'm sorry
You don't sound like you're from any part of the Northeast.
