- Join me for a full day of thrifting! We'll start our day at a HUGE indoor and outdoor tag sale hosted by the Glastonbury Historical Society and then make our way to an estate sale at a beautiful Victorian home in Meriden, Connecticut. When we get home, I'll show you my vintage haul and how I styled my finds!
Here's the link to my ebay store: www.ebay.com/s...
You have fabulous finds! I lived in Boston for 2 years when I was young & fell in love with New England.
Nice haul, thanks for taking me along to the Estate Sale. You have a good eye for what people enjoy having. Thanks ♥️
I'm so glad you enjoyed the haul! It was fun to find so many treasures!
Congratulations on you reaching 3,500 subscribers 😮
Oh my gosh - thank you so much! Eric took me out to celebrate last night!!!!!
Someone who needed to furnish a home could have made out like a bandit in Glastonbury. Nice!!
Absolutely! And the prices seemed so reasonable to me.
Oooh! What a fabulous haul. The transferware, the embroidered roses, the painted boxes! I would trim that unfinished rug and frame it. It’s stunning. Haunted dreams of Limoges… ❤❤❤❤
I'm so glad you liked my haul! I was JUNK DRUNK at that sale for sure! (I should have bought those boxes of Limoges - what is WRONG WITH ME?!?!?!)
@@WorthingtonHome haha! We all have the left behind regrets now and then. Have you ever been to estate sales held by the Blue Moon Co ? They’re usually wonderful. I went to one today chock full of china. I was totally JUNK DRUNK!
Hi Kris. Fabulous haul! My favorites are the silk rose art, the long wood piece with the vegetables and the beautiful Frankfort Harbor wall art. You did indeed pick up a nice variety. The bowl and pitcher really does look wonderful on top of your cabinet. Have a bright day 😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed the haul! It was an eclectic mix! The long wooden piece is now on my fireplace mantel in the kitchen - it looks really nice there!
I love everything! It would have been tempting to go back to the historical society sale😉
I didn't go back because I had ANOTHER fabulous sale to check out the next day instead (video forthcoming - stay tuned!)
You picked up some great art! One of the ladies on Relatively Refined collects The Friendly Village plates. Had never seen them before watching them and I really like it.
They have such a warm cozy look, don't they? I always try to pick them up when I can find them for a good price!
I really like your picks …. The Williams Sonoma plates, yes, wish I had space for them …. The Clarice Cliff transferware is an all time favorite, I collect in red! The cat picture is my favorite! You have such an eye for art work. I am so looking forward to your shop opening and a visit to Colechester!
I'm so glad you liked my picks! The Williams Sonoma plates sold earlier today - it will be so hard to let them go! I'm completely jealous that you have a set of those Clarice Cliff plates in red. It's a STUNNING pattern! I'm truly looking forward to the booth space and I hope to see you there!
Hello from Texas! I’m new to your channel. Love your finds! You could make a pretty pillow or chair pad out of the unfinished rug.
Welcome to the channel - I'm so glad you found me! Great idea for how to use the unfinished rug! It was so beautiful, even unfinished, that I had to have it!
Great haul! The Glastonbury tag sale was always one of my favorite. The Meriden sale was kind of strange, was everything for sale? I have two of the silk rose art, came from an estate in Norwich Ct. the person I bought them from said her great grandmother purchased them at a festival they held celebrating Norwich, the rose of New England! Cheers!
I was confused at the Meriden sale, I'm not going to lie. I gave up and just enjoyed the pretty architecture! 😂😂 I wonder if my silk rose art came from the same place? That's so interesting!
Another beautiful video. I loved everything especially all of the artwork. I think the brown transfer bowl is a waste bowl for a tea set, but you certainly could use it as an open sugar. I was so wishing you would have bought the tea cart for your kitchen. The foliage and flowers look beautiful in the upper decoration of your china cabinet. I love to decorate the tops of all my cabinets. Love the cats.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! The tea cart was fabulous, but I didn't have any room for it. We have a lot of furniture in our house! I'll tell the kitties that you said hello!
That $20 carved oval frame/picture was stunning! I was hoping you grabbed it for your shop so I could buy it lol
It was beautiful, but I didn't buy that one! It was one of the many things I wish had come home with me!
@@WorthingtonHome we can only fit so many items per trip :)
I've been watching your wonderful videos. Love seeing what you find in New England. I've been thinking of listing some items I'm finding at estate sales. Do you in include the price of insurance in your shipping fees?
❤️your tole painted boxes but I think they are Swedish and they call it rosemaling.
You are wiser than me - when I researched them in order to list them on ebay, it came up as Norwegian rosemaling. I've had rosemaling pieces before, but never on little boxes like that. They're so charming!
That museum is wonderful. I’ve taken hearth cooking classes there. I believe the unfinished rug is a punched rug. And well done.i hemmed and hawed about going to that sale. I would have fought you for the brown transfer ware. Won’t miss it next time.😊😊
I'm so glad we didn't have to wrestle for the brown transferware! 😂😂 The museum looked so impressive - I definitely want to see it again when it's set up in the usual way. I'm still dreaming of the gorgeous fireplace hearths!
your stuff is fab//
I'm so glad you enjoyed the haul! There were so many fabulous things to choose from at that sale!
Tell me you went back 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤
Haha! Oh my gosh, I didn't, but I SHOULD HAVE. I regret the boxes of Limoges that I didn't buy!
god bless you//
Good morning. I have 4 things in my eBay cart and was wondering if I could pick up from you as I live in Marlborough and would love to skip the shipping. Thanks for your consideration. 😉
Absolutely! Just reach out via ebay (or email - my address can be found on the channel bio) and we'll set something up.
