Hahaha you’re right, it is definitely a barrier to entry. I will try to put together a no-solder entry level build video as well. Thanks for the suggestion!
This is also partly due to the board he is typing on. Also the recording can be another variable, yadadadadada. Definitely keep this in mind when listening to sound tests!
To me, this keyboard is much nicer than what I would call an entry level board. Was one of the boards I was eyeing when I first got into the hobby tbh.
to fu 65 is still such a good board imo, i have multiple keeb builds that cost me over 1k and i still use my tofu 65 for gaming and wont ever sell it, just like my utd 356 mini, polaris, vega
hey, that's really interesting. idk if you would agree but honestly without the o ring mod the board sounds a lot more full, and a bit thoccier (maybe that's just the spacebar haha) sick build tho! and really nice vid quality, you def deserve more subs :D
If you add the shipping and the import fees because KBDFans declare up to the last cent for shipping, this ends up being a board of around 250$, which for many, is definitely not entry level if you add another 100-200$ for switches, keycaps and stabs. But definitely a very nice mid-range board. Wanted one for ages, but for me, another 65% board is just a whim I cannot justify lol.
