In some ways I think it even helps Jen saw Wanda and Vision would be a couple. Coming from the comics, it was always something I hoped for and picked up on several hints from the beginning. In Age of Ultron, after Vision is just born, there's a shot where Wanda's watching from afar and slightly smiling as though drawing comfort from Vision's presence. Then, later after Quicksilver dies, Wanda's planning to go down with Sokovia and Vision saves her, swooping her up like Superman.
Great timing! I just watched all of "WandaVision" for the first time yesterday and this morning, I was watching your reactions to the episodes. Now I've got Jen's reactions, lol.
Hydra soap was from a scene in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. where Phil Coulson, a high school teacher in The Framework (think The Matrix) where the world is run by Hydra, thinks store bought soap brainwashes you so he makes his own soap. It was nice of the MCU to acknowledge the show, even in such a small, insignificant way.
The amazing thing about the first Wandavision episode was that they filmed it in front of a live audience with era-correct practical effects. There was some clean up in post, but dang! I would have loved to have in the audience!
Gosh! Your editing skills and way you present intros is nothing less than what Marvel does...intriguing 😂...anyways glad to be back on journey again with Jen and you.
Episode 1 ad is reference to Tony Stark. The blinking light is the blinking light they saw while they waited for the bomb to explode when they were kids in Age of Ultron. “Burnt toast” referencing them getting blown up. Episode 2 The Strucker Watch was reference to Baron Strucker in Age of Ultron who was in charge of “watching” the experiments on them with the mind stone. Episode 3 Hydra Soap references them separating “cleansing” them from Hydra and joining the Avengers in Age of Ultron
I may be wrong but from what I gather many people didn't like the first 2 episodes because they didn't connect with the MCU. They were like beginner "filler" episodes before the "juciness" kicked in. BUT that's exactly why I LOVED them! I could've watched the whole season in black and white tbh. I got hit with the nostalgia hard. I loved all those old shows on TV land growing up and they did an excellent job recreating them. The rest of the season was great but as it got more and more modern it lost something special cause we're already over saturated with the big CGI fights and stuff. Still my favorite out of the 3 new shows tho.
I really appreciate a reaction without trailer or comic knowledge. All of the discussion of who characters like Geraldine etc are takes away the great reveals. Looking forward to the next eps
what you're trying to say Jen is now that you have some history of their characters you feel more attached to them and care for them more, so what happens to them is intensified because of the relationship you now have with them having known them and been through some ordeals with them. Marvel does this well. They make the audience feel part of the family, part of the story like you're tagging along with your favorite heroes who just so happen to be your friends too.

When I was watching this series and had gotten to this point, it really reminded me of watching "Bewitched" as a kid (now I've given my age away). But, at this point in Wandavision, by the end of this episode, I also had no idea what was going on...
