Yep, my tastes in moisturisers completely align with the deacription of the 'feel confident' moisturiser.
Especially for AM use, when you have to layer an SPF on top, you absolutely want a moisturiser that actually absorbs. The cerave cream in the tub feels like a white version if vaseline to me and i sense its a lot more occlusive than it is hydrating (it just feels like it sits on my skin). Its better applied on damp skin but not much better.
Sounds like the Feel Confident moisturiser does a better job on all fronts, well done
Yes! 👍🏼 Happy to send you one on us. Please email support@feelconfident.com and reference this message.
@@drgarylinkov omg! Lottery 😳😳😳 I sent the email haha ( it's form a Sussex uni account)
Thanks so much !!
You don't have to layer spf on top of moisturizer if you choose an SPF that's hydrating enough!
Why so many people be loosing it about the thumbnail! 😂😮
- It made me laugh & caught my
attention. 😄✌🏽
Cause they're stuck up @££holes! I thought it was funny too
Hahaha thanks for that, at least someone took it the right way :)
I think how well a moisturizer blends in with your other products is extremely important. I have loved certain moisturizers that didn't mesh or blend with my current skin care routine.
So, for me, Cerave has always worked with any routine, so she will always be that gurl.
Hey, wait a minute. You should be testing these products on older people, too. Is anyone here over 30??????
You can test it by ordering from the site ;)
@@drgarylinkov I can do that. I am sick of very high-end cosmetic prices.
im laughing out loud @drgarylinkov
@@GailKuzyszyn Me too. We did our best to be affordable. But we aren't quite "Ordinary" so prices aren't rock bottom.
I’ll be 60 next month!
I've only tried #1 La Roche posay. It saved my dry itchy skin when no other product would although it is very thick and too heavy for the face
Hey doc, were there any participants that you tested that didn't pick Feel Confident? (that weren't chosen to be in this video?). It also would help if you also listed the prices of each brand in-video, since that is a factor. Someone may be stuck between two choices, but would choose to go with the one that hits the pocketbook less.
Not everyone in this video picked Feel Confident (but the ones with good taste did :)
the "best" moisturizer is not about how it "feels" on your hand and which one smells the best. There has to be a more objective way to determine how "moisturizing" they are (i.e., reducing TEWL, etc.)
Agreed. I think consistency, how it feels and smell is important but the most important part is how my skin feels after going about with my day. A good moisturiser will boost your skin instantly but you get the best results after using it consistently for several days.
This was testing user experience specifically, namely, answering a different question.
Testing TEWL with equipment answers a different question; namely, which moisturiser reduces TEWL the best.
Additionally, TEWL tests only one component of moisturisers, namely, occlusivity (and... perhaps the durability of the formula on the skin). We already know the best thing in this regard is vaseline.
The other two basic components of a moisturiser is how hydrating it is and how emollient it is. But even these three do not fully cover user experience.
And ofc user experience can be tested more 'objectively' with a larger sample, but I don't think a clinical trial was the purpose of this video. This was a fun video, interesting in its own accord.
Precisely!
Yes but what are the prices of each product? If Feel Confident is 100% more expensive than cerave I think its benefits don’t outweigh its cost.
@@sindirodriguez1030 It doesn't compare though. This is a small business compared to Cerave and the Cerave ingredients are very basic in comparison. Feel Confident has the extra stuff with more benefits. It may not be for everyone and that's OK. As for me personally I wouldn't spend $31 USD on a cream with flower oils or essential oils. Way too sensitive for some oils. 🥹
@@sindirodriguez1030I agree, even after free shipping and 10% discount the Feel Confident is $27 for 1.7 fl oz.
Cerave is $25 for 16fl oz. Skin care doesn’t have to be expensive.
Also, your product seems to have a fragrance to it as the people trying the product have stated. Other dermatologists argue that less fragrance added is better, fragrance could irritate sensitive skin, and it may not be pleasant for a product that is applied to the face. If your product is lavender scented, I actually quite like lavender as a fragrance in my colognes, but my mother is off put from the scent of lavender and lilacs so she wouldn’t consider this product.
I believe your result but it seems like you're testing how the product feels on the skin (spreadability, texture, scent, etc) which is important but there's also other important factors that can only be seen after few weeks of use like how the moisturizer makes your skin feel, improved skin texture, pore size/clogging, skin tone, etc. LRO acne treatment saved my skin over 15 years ago. I feel like they're one of the most medically supported skincare brands. I wish you good luck with your product, I'll def look it up.
Hello! CeraVe goes on light and is absorbed into the skin. Very light scented doesn’t clash with perfume. Other moisturizers go on too heavy. Was dermatologist recommended been using for a year at least. Also light enough for summer. Haven’t tried your brand yet. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thank you for making it cruelty free and vegan🙏
Absolutely!
@drgarylinkov yes thank you for making this cruelty free and vegan ❤
Great video Dr! I love your content, and I wish you continued success with your products! Wish I could get hold of them, unfortunately I'm not in the USA.
Let's go Dr. Pookie 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Gary, been a fan for a while now! You discuss alot of hair procedures, but haven't seen you talk alot about beard procedures and Eyebrow procedures? Are there ways to make them more full with things like FUE? Thanks!
Sometimes product on Black skin reacts differently. I would love to see the responses on dark dry skin because I’ve tried so much and nothing has been sufficient except light oils but it’s still oily.
Are you aware that LRP has much lighter creams than the Cicaplast that you tested, Cerave also has lighter creams like the PM? You should compare moisturizers from the same categories.
I got this cheap high potency retinol cream and it's the best I've ever used
Cool, yeh those can be very helpful for sure.
Congrats on your brand!
I have always used la roche posay but I would love to try yours.
I volunteer, as a 56 year old, to test this for our age group.
Dr Gary, pls can you share your opinion on Polynucleotide injections to treat jelly rolls under eye ? This has been recommended by a clinic but I am not sure. Is it possible to make a video on possible non invasive treatments on this pls ? Many thanks
men's skin absorbs moisturizer differently, you should make one specifically for men
Heyo, is there any way to get your products delivered to germany? An answer would be a pleasure.
I got my moisturizer and I loved it on my skin. 👍🏼
A woman over 50 please (future sample panel)
I would deff try it if you ship to Europe. 😊
What are the products?
Is it safe for Celiacs (super gluten free!)? Thank you.
As far as we know yeh
Please Dr how can I get this mosterier because I live in Cyprus tell me if ship it here I am all for it? Please 🙏 reply
We don’t ship out there yet. When you visit NYC come by the office ;)
@drgarylinkov can't see that happening do you ship to London please reply thank you
I want to see a 1month check in with these lotions but I know having a control for this is really hard since people have varying needs skin wise. 😬
I like the thick greasy stuff. There’s no humidity where I live and I’m not acne prone.
First Aid Beauty, perioddd
I use a japanese moisturizer and it's great! Japanese moisturizers are the best.
Mr Beast noticed that the videos where he has his mouth open as thumbnail get less views and I agree. I love your content, I just think that type of thumbnail is a lil weird, is it the opposite in your experiece? They get more views? Or you just like it?
We like it sometimes.
for your next video can u cover jordan barret
Vanicream
Are there any cruelty free alternatives?
Those should be cruelty free
Ours is cruelty free
@@Adhara740 No most of those listed in the video are not
@@drgarylinkov Thank you!
Unfortunately, caprylic/capric triglyceride makes my skin break out almost immediately. I avoid anything with that ingredient.
Thanks for sharing. We did have the product officially tested on 50 patients and none had hypersensitivity reactions - this was performed by Consumer Product Testing in NJ.
no double blind, im disappointed ^^
sounds like a great moisturizer though for sure!
Bring it to Europe PL
I've been waiting for videos about the feel confident line....finally!
We need more education about the products please👏not just comparisons. Let's dive into what they do and why they work.
Yes! Agreed. We have more coming (but they seem to underperform based on views, so we can't put out too many at once).
is this only available in the states?
UK and Canada as well
I would be a good judge as I have tried gajillions of face creams. the true test is to put it on your clean face and wear it around for at least a few hrs. arm test is not good
Great, but they all appea4 to be in their 20s or 30s..how about 50 yr olds??
Good point. Many of our patients in the practice use it and are over 50 :)
Sir…why the thumbnail. We’re talking about moisturizer.
It’s what the thumbnail guy made and I thought it was fun. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Relax.
@@drgarylinkovI enjoy your channel, but don't do the shocked face like the other doctors on UA-cam, as it's not amusing or attractive. Just be yourself. Best wishes from Europe ❤
@@jillkemp5521 Sometimes I am shocked :) In this case I was pleasantly surprised that our brand new moisturizer was able to compete with the giants.
@@drgarylinkov I think it’s hilarious 😂 I burst out laughing. honestly moisturzer needs more hype in my opinion
@@TiffTheTyrant Amen!
Good content
Advert
why would you put a scent in a face cream????? PASS!
It's a natural Lavender, quite pleasant actually.
@TheDarq0n Many face moisturizers have some mild scent. The Feel Confident moisturizer contains natural lavender which is good (nourishing) for most skin types except anyone who may have an allergy to lavender.
Shouldn't facial moisterizers be tested on the FACE and be used for 3 days to be a valid test for which is the best? NOT VALID.
We have "real" studies in the works, this was meant to be a fun video Arline.
MLA emulsion, Squalene, lactic acid, NMF, adequate water consumption and balanced diet, regular treatment of chronic conditions. not in one magic pill or cream, with all respect to Doctor Linkov.
Disappointed this isn't a decision on how it truly repairs or moisturizes. Not at all helpful.
More on that later, this was just a fun vid!
I'll look forward to that later! 😉
None of this because they are not vegan.
We sure are
Please dont do the shocked expression thumbnails it just looks fake
No one sits above the algorithm
Jesus everyone has an opinion. I think it's hilarious!
He can do whatever he wants with his channel. It's not all about you.
Not relevant how it feels Please what is important is what it does long term. What nonsense.
Long term studies are a) expensive and extremely difficult to conduct b) absolutely a lot more relevant to specific actives and not as relevant to moisturiser c) how a moisturiser 'feels' is extremely important, as it can ensure compliance (whether you're going to use it or not). If it feels awful, nobody is gonna use it.
I think this comment section is thinking, but it stops before taking this thinking a tiny bit further.
Ugh doctor Gary fine af, need him fr

It is a marketing gimmick, but it is also people's real reactions. Nothing scientific in this video, obviously.

Bye!
your voice is so monotone ....
Firstly, know when to use uppercase and lower cases in a sentence. Secondly know how to utilize grammar and punctuation appropriately. After you have learnt these core concepts, then comment on people’s platform.
@@joannawoods6563 sure
Your comment is so rude.
@@NoNastyIngredients The individual @princeedmunddukeofedinb, tried to berate Dr. Linkov by making an ugly comment about his voice. I gave the individual a taste of their own medicine and now you decide to call my comment nasty. If people are not willing to receive what they dish out, then they should learn to keep their comments to themselves! 🎉
@@joannawoods6563 I wasn't replying to you, I was replying to the rude monotone comment.
While this was a cute test, it was skewed by your being in the room with the test subjects. That to me invalidates the entire test results because no matter how innocuous your conversations with with the testers was, it was completely inappropriate. This in my opinion was an ill conceived test from start to finish. The fact that I like and respect you Dr. Linkov is immaterial.
Would be interesting to review the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase III clinical trials of facial moisturizers from these other companies, but I couldn't find too many. Perhaps we should design one. If I sell enough of these then maybe we can invest it back into a study that might please you Materialworld4. Go try out the moisturizer, you might like it :)
