Saw these guys during the Live At The Inferno tour at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. It was awesome! I still have one of Rob "Wacko' Hunter's drumsticks!
Hey spuds! We toured with them 4 years ago... they were awesome every night! I've been a fan since the late 80s (yeah, I'm old too) Super nice guys, great players. Would love to do it again! Great vid, Michael... cheers!
Thank YOU, man...for watching & subscribing, or whatever. I appreciate that you enjoy what I post. RAVEN WAS AMAZING to see in a small club. I was BLESSED.
I will tell you what. RAVEN PLEASE COME TO CINCINNATI OR COLUMBUS OHIO. I WILL BE THERE! This is some great stuff! Lead guitarist is still crazy as he was back in the 80s. Still a shredder too. Vox and bass, he still has it. Idk who this drummer is, but I've been around enough rock and metal for 35 years and played in my own bands and recorded music to tell you he is definitely a decent drummer. No slop, precision strikes. I been dying to see Raven for years. I'm 35, wasn't born until 87, but first time I ever heard Raven, I was BLOWN AWAY! RAVEN! KEEP THE METAL FAITH ALIVE IN YOUR HEARTS!
Come on, GIVE ME A FUCKIN BREAK!! My Dad told me when he first heard Raven way back when, he said he couldn't stand them. I told him he's FCUKING CRAZY! WHAT??! Lol
Mike Heller is not just a decent drummer but a fantastic one. He's done all sorts of metal from more trad to proggressive, industrial, thrash, death and some more blackened too. Not that the band was sloppy and lame before but he sure has brought some frenetic energy in.
@@hevihoo oh yeah, I've done some digging after I made that post. He's a terrific drummer. It's guys like him, that come in and help to reinvigorate a band. I know that's true. It's happened for me. When you have your own band so to speak, and you go from having a decent drummer to having a killer on the skins, it literally makes you feel like there are no limits. A refresher of the strongest kind. Good looking out tho. I'm the type of guy, where If I don't know someone very well, like a musician, and I dig what they do, I will dig around to find out more about them. 🤘 😈 🤘
@@hevihooI don't dispute his talent at all but there is something I really hate about his drumming on the last two albums. Here it's not so annoying but I guess he's retreading with the older sings. Joe Hasslevander and Rob Hunter are equally as talented I believe but their drumming just fits better.
I couldn't go to The Raven show in Detroit because Mac Sabbath was playing over in Ferndale that night. I did go to their show here the time before. It was fun and the band was friendly.
I love this kind of show - rather than some huge production with distracting video screens - I know the artists would love to do the big paying Metallica sized tour, but the fan benefits here and the translation of the music is direct.
I used to hang out with the old Drummer with Raven Rob Hunter and we recently got back in touch. He is now a successful Jazz Producer in NY
Always wondered what became of Rob good to hear he’s done well
Raven deserve to be in stadiums they rock so hard

WIPED OUT, Fave LP album of all time. Now my copy is WORN OUT!
They deserve a world size stage!
Hell yeah they killed it in Chicago too !!!!!!!
Kick. Ass.
I hope they keep touring, esp. in the states!
These guys are so metal even Chuck Norris listens to them !!!
That was great!
I was there...right in front of Mark. AWESOME show. I am the big dork with glasses at the 56:27 mark.

Reminds me of me and my brother Ace ..R.I.P. bro I know you are riffing in the cosmos now.
conheci o Raven no programa guitarras que ia ao ar ao sábados pela radio fluminense fm
Cool!!
In my opinion, this band did not receive the success they obviously deserve
