Very nice video! I am a new seller for various different cards and I would like to know how to get them shipping packages you had at the end and that plastic that you put it in?
Your inventory? I would imagine that means that for some reason TCGplayer has suspended your account and you need to get in touch with them to find out why specifically
Me and my buddy just started and as we were adding inventory and prices they hid our inventory and put the count under review? It’s been 2 days now and just curious if you had any thoughts on what is going on or if it’s just a formality. I reached out already to the sales department. Any thoughts? Thanks again for the information in the video!
I just listed 100 cards for pretty cheap $3+ rares once I reached 51 sales I turned off my inventory and waited until I hit lvl 4 it took about 12 days roughly. Shipping stuff as fast as possible really helps too I feel. Edit: If you are selling magic and have Sol Rings, list those asap if youre level 1 mine sold practically as fast as I could list them.
@@TCGBulkKings You have been such a big help I honestly can't thank you enough. Also do you think its worth holding onto some of these cards? The market has went down on magic a lot. For example I bought 70 talismans last year for $3-4 each bought at low price. Now they are worth 30-60 cents. Fetch lands were $30-40 each and i just sold 19 for $12-14 just under median price.
@@jasonskindell9578 Absolutely! You just need to make sure you are taking packaging into account by that I mean make absolutely certain the cards are packaged extremely well so you don't get people mad. It always comes down to how much you are selling and what platform you are selling on. 10 and 15 cents cards are profitable it always come down to how much you're selling. Edit: My first week I mostly sold $3-5 cards with a few $20 cards just to test the tracking system. I was level 1 with 0 feedback and made $280 roughly after tcg took their cut and taxes came out. "Not counting shipping costs" and I only sold around 60 or 70 cards.
Do you recommend a price cap for singles when starting out? I’ve some NM $25+ cards that I’m looking to sell but am a bit gun shy to list those for fear of someone ordering and then claiming they didn’t receive them or received them damaged in order to get a refund. Might be overly paranoid but your insight is appreciated
Honestly, I've had almost zero fraud like that. I'm approaching 50000 completed transactions, and I can't really think of something that was certainly fraud. More likely is that I or USPS have screwed something up. Which is still waaaay less than 1% of orders. So I wouldn't be worried about that as much as I would be not properly packaging up a $50 card only to have it ripped to shreds. So, until you get comfortable with your shipping process, I would try to stick to the under $10 cards, just to mitigate the risk
In the inventory tab, you should be able to tic a big for "My Inventory", then search, then select whatever card you're looking to remove. From there you can click a button to delete listings, or set quantity to zero
@@TCGBulkKings what’s the delete listing button? Is it clear inventory? Cuz I hit that and it doesn’t clear it . It’s worked before though when I used that.
As in, hold on releasing your funds? I don't think Ebay do that anymore either. I will say it takes about 2-3 weeks for TCGplayer to payout, they wait till your orders show delivered or at least get past the Expected Delivery Date without any kind of communication of an issue from the customer
Good video brother 👍. Can you also sell Japanese cards on tcg? For payment options is it better to leave it at store credit or add a bank? And how does that store credit works? Thanks in advance. New to this
Can sell Japanese or other non-English with photos, if other than Magic. I prefer to have the payouts go to my bank. But if you use store credit, then you just can use it to buy something else from TCGplayer
ua-cam.com/video/mjBHWRANhCE/v-deo.html is the short answer The longer answer is that early on, a binder would be fine, or a small box. Eventually you'll want to have some kind of dedicated box in which you can keep them organized. BCW makes the industry standard ones, available from your LGS, on eBay from Columbia Hobby, or directly from BCW themselves
Current minimum shipping on orders under $5 on TCGplayer is $1.27. It will allow you to set your shipping lower, but I think (but am not sure) it will only apply that amount to orders over $5.
Hey there hon! I have another question. To move up to level 2 you have to show two shipments arrived by their EDD date. How is that possible when youre only shipping standard mail with just a stamp and dropping it at the post office? Or do you have to at least send 2 with tracking to get that? I'm a bit confused by that one. Your help is greatly appreciated. 😊
@@TCGBulkKings So I guess then they show it as delivered status rather than still in transit? I hope that's the case. Again thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I know you're busy so I really appreciate you! Please keep up the excellent work! 🤗
TCGplayer have actually put an indefinite hold on onboarding new accounts right now. Supposedly to they can make some changes to the basic process, but it's been weeks and weeks, since towards the beginning of the summer if I remember correctly. Not really much you can do, other than find a different marketplace such as ManaPool, CardTrader, or Ebay
How common is it for new accounts to get flagged and put under review? After putting in a ton of work and making a handful of sales, my account randomly got flagged and put under review, inventory hidden. It would be nice if I was given more info as to what caused this! It doesn't give the best first impression of TCGplayer for them to pull something like this without providing more info...
@@TCGBulkKings I was flagged right after adjusting/undercutting competition (I'm aggressively trying to sell what I have in stock to level up the account) and i think the behavior must have triggered something in their system. I also set the sale price of an expensive card to $1 as i was adjusting its quantity to 0 because it wouldn't let me set both the price AND quantity to 0. I'm not sure if something like that would flag the account for review. I really hope they do not take forever in reviewing my account 🤦 I have outstanding orders to ship from yesterday that I'll be mailing off, but with the deactivated status of the account i really do wonder if they will resolve this in a timely manner.
Listings with photos are meant to show certain non-fungible traits, such as autographs, altered art, or damage. The prices for adding photos to listings is relatively time consuming compared to simply typing in a quantity and price. The culture on TCGplayer understands that fungibility is assumed, unless it's specifically called out with a photo listing
How long does it take to get the account set up? I set my stuff up 4 days ago and it just says "Your account is currently under review." and my inventory status is "Hidden". Is something wrong or do I just need to wait for it to be activated?
O.o I've not run across that before. Maybe it has something to do with setting up the payment connection, or there's an email you need to click into to confirm something? If you still have problems, try to reach out to TCGplayer through their help feature, you should be able to find it in your account menus
Soooo…. After being the whole day listing cards and double checking conditions, out of nowhere my account got moved to “hidden” status. Doesn’t say why, just prompt me to contact sales. So I guess I wont be making any sales until next week😢
@@TCGBulkKings apparently it was a mistake on their part. It got fixed. I listed a couple more cards this morning. Now waiting for those sales haha. Ty for the help and encouragement bro. Really appreciate it
Noob Question: Dose anyone know how to use the "TCGplayer-app" after scan the cards into the Collection "List" Then upload it to the "inventory" for sale on "TCGplayer-Website"?
As in you just started it? There may be some email you need to click a confirmation link in, or maybe set up your payment preferences? I'm not sure, you could reach out to TCGplayer in their help feature, should be accessible in your account menu
@@TCGBulkKings thank you for the response. Not sure if 100/100 inventory is considered small but I didn’t have a lot that was over $20. So I’m guessing I didn’t get close to the $1000 mark.
@@NotTellingYou- I don't mean anything by it, just that it's a small enough number that it isn't completely unreasonable to just check the price of all your inventory individually and add it up. Getting that kind of inventory maxed out quickly is a great way to get through the levels quickly! Price aggressively and you'll be Level 4 in no time
@@TCGBulkKings I know you didn’t mean anything by it. I appreciate the advice and thank you for the positivity. One other question I do have, when someone buys a card from you does TCGplayer automatically remove the quantity from your inventory or do I have to do that manually?
Congrats! Yeah, pretty much the same, easy to apply the ideas to one or another game, or heck, to selling beer cans on eBay, if you think hard enough lol
So, as a Level 1 Seller, as I mentioned in the video, you really have to list cards over $1 or so, preferably over $2. Once you get to the bulk range, and you're listing 50k cards, you will likely lose a little bit on the few lowest-end, small cheap card orders. But having a broad inventory will seriously mitigate those kinds of orders. I will have a video in this series about Shipping in the very near future, be sure to keep an eye out for it
Can someone please explain the shipping prices? I set mine to low as possible but exactly what does this mean? Why would I set it higher? I’m a total noob so please help
TCGplayer will add a shipping charge to what they have the buyer pay to buy your product. You get to set this price, down to $.99 for sellers level 1-3, or to zero for lvl 4 sellers. If it's set to zero, they will still charge $.99 for orders with less than $5 of product on them, but will arrange your items' positions on each product page under the assumption of free shipping. Sellers set theirs higher when they want to be compensated specifically for shipping or if they don't want to sell as quickly for orders not through the Direct program.
The point is these are cards with high demand so they should sell before they'll get to $.05. And also they are cards you already had, or acquired cheaply, so you aren't worried about maximizing dollars, but rather trying to accumulate completed sales
T.T maybe that will change soon with the eBay purchase. I'm not qualified to give options for bulk selling in Canada unfortunately. Is anyone here able to help this poor soul with some ideas?
Hey, at level 1, all you can compete on is price, you don't have any reputation or anything. Gotta put something in demand at a price that keeps you from being ignored

Soooo…. After being the whole day listing cards and double checking conditions, out of nowhere my account got moved to “hidden” status. Doesn’t say why, just prompt me to contact sales. So I guess I wont be making any sales until next week😢
It says is “currently under review” but it was live until I listened some Flesh and Blood Promo (don’t know if that has anything to do)
Not sure what that could be about, never happened to me. Hopefully someone at TCGplayer can sort it out for you T.T
I've never been able to get it to work, and it doesn't really work with my bulky workflow anymore anyway
I dont get why some sellers listed shipping included but when checking out shipping fees were added?
Usually that means there is a minimum order total you have to meet to get the free shipping, as far as I know it's usually stated on the card listing
@@TCGBulkKings yea dont think it was listed
Can you do a follow up on this video
Coming soon, sorry about the delay
My accounts currently under review. What i need to do?
As in you just started it? There may be some email you need to click a confirmation link in, or maybe set up your payment preferences? I'm not sure, you could reach out to TCGplayer in their help feature, should be accessible in your account menu
at this point you open a seller account without review?
@@dinoforlove4727 I'm not sure what you're asking. Were you able to get in touch with TCGplayer support? They will be best to help you
How do I check to see total amount of money in cards I have as seller level 1?
I'm not sure of an easy way to do it, without the pricing tab, unfortunately. However, your inventory may be small enough to just do it manually 🤖
@@NotTellingYou- they handle the quantity for you, for sure
Oh cool I just started selling, now I'm at level 2, selling yugioh cards though but I assume the skills are the same
Congrats! Yeah, pretty much the same, easy to apply the ideas to one or another game, or heck, to selling beer cans on eBay, if you think hard enough lol
How do you truly make a profit? Gotta buy those stamps.
I will have a video in this series about Shipping in the very near future, be sure to keep an eye out for it
How’s everythiing going?-TCG-insane ~see u around. =)
Slava Ukraini! Working working!
@@TCGBulkKings 🤯
@@devildogus2187 I hope that means it makes sense now 😂😂
Pricing to be the lowest is just a race to the bottom. I wouldn’t recommend that.
The point is these are cards with high demand so they should sell before they'll get to $.05. And also they are cards you already had, or acquired cheaply, so you aren't worried about maximizing dollars, but rather trying to accumulate completed sales
Unlucky Canadian cant sell on tcg
T.T maybe that will change soon with the eBay purchase. I'm not qualified to give options for bulk selling in Canada unfortunately. Is anyone here able to help this poor soul with some ideas?
Racing to the bottom.
Hey, at level 1, all you can compete on is price, you don't have any reputation or anything. Gotta put something in demand at a price that keeps you from being ignored
