What price point do you recommend listing cards on TCG vs considering them bulk? It would be good to get an explanation of the breakeven point after fees, etc. I have a good amount (5k) of modern and vintage bulk and 1k cards that are worth $0.25-$10.00, when do bulk lots make sense on ebay/TCG vs selling singles? I was doing great with sales until I ran out of top cards and hit a bulk wall. I am looking for ideas on how to bundle them for bulk lots on tcgplayer. I always ship usps advantage which is around 4 dollars give or take. so selling anything over shipping price would be great!
Hello it can be difficult to get things going. Try lowering your card prices to tcg market value and have shipping set at 1.99. The low card prices will help move the bulk cards.
i have noticed the lightly played market as well, do you recommend listing some cards at LP even if they are NM? i know that sounds crazy but i have seen the same thing you are talking about on recent sold graphs
I've been hearing a lot about listing bulk with a floor price of 25 cents in order to not get bought out. I listed a few of 1$ 5$ cards and a fair amount of cards close to 25 cents in order to get a few sales going. Ideally they should get a 1$ or 5$ card and get a few 25 cent cards in order to not feel so bad about shipping.
I completely disagree with the tracked for $12+. You'll find that cost of the *very few* orders where the buyer claims not to have received the item is much lower than paying for tracked shipping on all orders. Most/many stores (mine included) don't add tracking unless the order is over the threshold TCGplayer set for required tracking.
You're able to add tracking to any order no matter what the total is it just turns into a matter if it then profitable to do it. I find over $12 the likelihood of someone saying they never got it increases.

Hello In my experience ebay will bring a higher price but might take longer to sell. Tcgplayer is where I usually sell my bulk ish cards. My advice to get to level 4 quickly would be to list only a hand full of popular cards under value. You will probably lose money so don't do it with very expensive cards. They will sell quickly. Just don't have your store loaded with a ton of cards under priced someone could buy out your whole store and it will only count as 1 sale. 👍🏻 good luck.
