I can tell you exactly what happened with no more heroes 3. An employee put the gamecase out in the used ps5 section and kept the disc and big box in the drawer. A second employee filled your order and didn't go to the shelf to get the empty game case to ship with the rest.
One time I needed a cover art for DS3 I was missing for my collection and I went into GameStop to ask if I can have one of the cover arts off the shelf and they non hesitantly just gave it to me. I even offered to pay for it
🚨 Buyer beware with GameStop 🚨 I bought a bunch of games during the same B2G1 deal. 9 games total…6 came with generic cases no OG artwork. 1 of the games they sent a PS3 version instead of the PS4 I purchased. Another game has yet to arrive and it’s been in “shipping” status since December 2! 🤬
I own that copy of No More Heroes 3, it most definitely comes with a case. I can tell you for a fact, Game Stop actually throws away game cases quite often. Due to all of the generic cases they keep on hand. A game like that, that has a large outer box like No More Heroes 3, I can almost guarantee Game Stop threw away the case. This is very common practice there.
If the games had the original case, manual and cover art then it would be "GameStop NEW". You were lucky to get what you got. If you want to get a "look behind the curtain" the GameStop subreddit is chock full of people that claim to be either current or past employees of GameStop. The contempt they show for customers is more than I expected.
I'm a collector and I buy from GameStop semi-regularly. When purchasing online I usually only buy when a B2G1 sale is going on. A few things I've learned over the past 3-4 years: - As far as getting cases included, I've had pretty good luck with Wii, Wii U and PS Vita games (although Vita games are rarely in stock) - you can return games purchased in a B2G1 deal, so I just return any that come in really bad condition. I'm a bit more lenient than other collectors on condition, if it comes with the cover art I'm usually happy unless it is super beat up. I recently got a copy of Four Swords Adventure from them with the case, while Mario Golf on GameCube came with no cover art and disc was horribly scratched so I returned it. - I almost never buy DS or 3DS games from them unless it's in store and it has a case, bc those almost never come with the case in my experience I'm not going to say GameStop is a great company or anything, but there are deals to be had on occasion, and if you visit the store regularly the membership is absolutely worth it.
Oh and surprisingly I've often gotten pre-owned Switch games loose when ordering from GameStop online, so I've mostly stopped buying Switch games from them as well. I thought more ppl would have kept the cases but I guess not
Even when I bought my games they were like recent games. PS5 games. I only did it because the prices ended up much cheaper than anyone else at the time. I think around $25 for the games I got. Stellar Blade, Last of us part 2 remastered and Lies of P. None of those games came with their cases. Like come on, man. You're telling me you can't get me one game with a case of these games like Stellar Blade/Last of Us that came out THIS YEAR. Nah this ain't it, chief.
With B2G1 deals returns need to be done in groups of 3 in most locations. The issue is that they need to be returned within 7 days so if you sat on a package for weeks waiting for the rest of your order you might be SOL.
I bought three games this time and got all generic cases and the wrong game in one 😂. Took them back to a local store and the service there for returns is always great.
I ordered 6 used ps5 games from GameStop, came delivered from 3 different stores, the package that had 4 games in it literally was empty game cases, that was about 2 weeks ago still fighting with customer service to resolve the issue because my local GameStop won’t do anything about it
When I don't get the case on a pre-owned game I'll go into the store and look for a complete pre-owned copy, I'll buy it for the second time, then I'll take the price tag off of that case and put it on the ugly gamestop case and then I return it the next day. The employees never remember if the game I bought the day before had the original case or not. The price tag is the same, the game inside is the same, and the ugly case has the same name as everything else. Been doing this for years.
An easier option is just go in and talk to an employee, say I got this dumb case can I swap it out for the actual copy. That's if they have another copy of the pre-owned game in store. Also been doing that for years.
I guess you don't know this. Yakuza 3 Remastered physical is up for preorder with LRG. They have already done 3 physical yakuza games. So yakuza 3 Remastered is LRG 4th one. They confirmed that they are doing 7 physical yakuza games with LRG. If you had preordered yakuza 0. You get a slipcover to hold all 7 games in one box together. Plus LRG has been doing classic editions for them also
I only buy preowned games from Gamestop in store - I usually have terrible luck online getting just disc only. There have been times when I bought new, and was sent an obviously preowned copy in a generic Gamestop case. For new games, I only use Gamestop if I preorder - those come sealed for me at least
I stopped buying from Gamestop a while ago after they could no longer could fully fulfill a pre-order on regular copies of games I sought, despite the order window being still open. Also, their management has been getting worse and worse with each passing decade. Amazon used games has been getting better all the time as it does come with the factory content even if the game case is nearly totaled. I know Amazon is not the greatest of companies, but nearly all listings on the site are near accurate when I do buy something off of the site. I currently have more faith in Ebay and Amazon that Gamestop as of this point next to the small game store that is barely scrapping by.
I tried to give gamestop a shot and ordered Dragons age orgins ultimate edition and to my surprise I got it the next day. I opened the package and it was complete but in horrible condition. Broken case and dirty discs. I returned it and bought off of ebay.
Yeah online is awful. I will say I do shop in person for the buy 2 get 1 sometimes because you can see what they have that has cases and what doesn't. Like my local shop to my collage is a really good one to shop at in general but the one near where I grew up is not a good store. So it really depends on your local store and then some deals can actually be good.
Last order I placed with gamestop I did not receive 2 of the 5 games... never got my refund and had to call customer service every day for a week i literally just gave up :/ ........... (nice shirt btw)
For New: They are required by Corporate to open one box of each title and put the game box out on the shelf. All the rest are sealed, in original box. If you buy the last game they have of a specific title they put the game back in the on-shelf box and sell it new to you. I’ve had this conversation multiple times over the years with GameStop employees and told them they can just print duplicate labels just as good to put in placeholder boxes on the shelf, thereby leaving all games new and unopened but it’s a corporate policy they can’t avoid. Still, a good employee wouldn’t care and make it look just as good for each game title.
I don’t get it. Why don’t they have cases. Do people buy new games and throw the case away? Also GameStop shouldn’t take games without the case. Save that for eBay.
I can tell you exactly what happened with no more heroes 3. An employee put the gamecase out in the used ps5 section and kept the disc and big box in the drawer. A second employee filled your order and didn't go to the shelf to get the empty game case to ship with the rest.
And this is why I always buy used games on eBay. If I'm buying them new, I would go to Target, Best Buy, or Walmart, but not GameStop.
One time I needed a cover art for DS3 I was missing for my collection and I went into GameStop to ask if I can have one of the cover arts off the shelf and they non hesitantly just gave it to me. I even offered to pay for it
idk why I love these types of videos. thanks for taking one for the team.
I finally beat Mario and Luigi Brothership in 50 hours
Did you 100% it? I'm trying to keep playing it but it's dragging its ass lol. Im 20 hours in
@@NintendoMania98 yes. There is a lot of backtracking.
@@therealjaystone2344 I'm about to just plow through the rest of the story, I've been keeping up with side quests but yeah the backtracking sucks

The round indention on the back of the medium PS5 game art is from the case that holds the disk.
I only go to gamestop to order xbox 360 video games once a month
I actually really liked The Medium. I've been ignoring reviews a lot lately and have been happier for it.

Samurai Warriors 5 on Switch is a fantastic game. runs good, looks good.
I refuse to support Gamestop as tempting their prices are. They've shown time and time again that they don't understand their customers.
Where is the shirt from?
I tried to give gamestop a shot and ordered Dragons age orgins ultimate edition and to my surprise I got it the next day. I opened the package and it was complete but in horrible condition. Broken case and dirty discs. I returned it and bought off of ebay.

They really need to have better quality control.
Wow I got that kingdom hearts game on 3DS for 14 bucks complete with the little card things on Mercari 2 years ago
I bought 3 switch games only 1 came with a case.
No more hero's 3 big box is suppose to come with the steel book case
Fed ex is my least favorite carrier. The photos they use are always bad
Last order I placed with gamestop I did not receive 2 of the 5 games... never got my refund and had to call customer service every day for a week i literally just gave up :/ ........... (nice shirt btw)
I love the shirt Bo. Where'd you snag that?
Happy Monday
Donate, you had it right lol
If you actually play games it's not that bad.
Gamestop is a joke, used games are a gamble. Even new games come in used condition
