Thank you, I was pondering using seaweed but wasn't sure about the odor. I've been using fish fertilizer and my plant room actually stinks . Not being sure about it I put a very dilute all purpose the other day and I'm hoping I'll be able to get the stink out because my plant room opens into my living room . 1

Right there with you Carmella. The seaweed and kelp extracts that I've used have a sweet smell, but its not pungent and it definitely doesn't last. With the other organic and fish fertilizers, the house would stink for DAYS, LOL!

Jeff, you should have more than 1mil subs. What the fertilizer? Keep on keeping on!❤️

Thanks so much Savannah!! I normally use a commercial kelp extract, but this one is good too. Local company called Reindeer's Natural Plant Food. :-)

@@TheRipeTomatoFarmsif you bottom water how can you liquid feed without wasting the fertilizer? Bc I poor the extra water out

@@brittaniejones8755 use less water so that you limit any excess that would have to be poured out. Top fertilizing leaks out the bottom contributing to even MORE wastage.

We all like fresh herbs but feeding them is something we definitely forget to do!!! Until the plant runs out of energy & dies. Great reminder Jeff 👍🏻

Jeff , what do think of using tea leaves for fertilizing? Great information!

Any hint on the mixture ratio to use? I'd like to order some kelp fertilizer but options are different here so knowing what the ratio is would be helpful.

@@CHAOSMOVEMENT I skew higher in Nitrogen (N), simply because with herbs, it's all about the leaf growth.

Hi Jeff 🤙 Thanks for your detailed content. I have an indoor basil plant and I have a 14-14-14 fertilizer on hand. Can I use something that's this high in NPK to fertilize?

Hi, this is something I hadn't thought about.
I used to have two allotments here in the UK. But faite has rose its ugly head . I am now a wheelchair user. I've sold my house with garden and moved to a flat 14 floors, or if you count the ground floor, 15 floors up. I have two very small balcony and approx 32 feet of south facing windows. It's also about 300 yards from the sea.
I could really use any advice that you , or anyone can give me.
I'd like the flat to be full of pants, most of which to be enable.
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Should you use the seaweed/kelp AND the n-p-k? Or just one of those?

NPK is just a ratio of nutrients.... Seaweed has an NPK as well....
