@@TheRipeTomatoFarms I'm somehow sure you've done it before, but maybe a video (or update) about basic growing indoors for cooking? @@TheRipeTomatoFarms thanks, I just learned that I’m in zone 10A. Is it true I cannot plant tomatoes because I need pollination and I’m only working in a closed in Lanai for planting?

Nice one! I should really start some herbs indoors 😋 I’m in the same area as you and I can back you up on the cold hardiness of cilantro. I had some growing in the fall outside a few years ago and it made it through the whole winter, snow and all! Wouldn’t have thought it would make it with those soft stems Thanks! 👍
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms I don’t remember exactly when it sprouted, it was a while ago now. I remember I had bought a little pot of cilantro and I never got around to planting them. They of course went to seed so I just decided to bury the whole small plant in one of my raised beds 😝 Then it all sprouted late in the season very densely and made it through the winter. Some type of cover like a milk jug or something probably would have been perfect to keep it clean from the splashing rain on the soil.
I’m thinking of cleaning my shed and use it as greenhouse! I’m tired of all my herbs dying from too hot weather and too cold weather. Maybe add a light fixture so I can see what I’m doing 😊👍 cuz I like doing things at night also, thank you Jeff this is perfect indoor plant ideas for me! 👍👩🌾😊♥️ oh yes I can imagine doing all my plants there 😊

I watched your video on starting Dill indoors..I've done that and its thriving beautifully but its in seed starter mix in the container. Should I break it apart and pot it up individually in other planters?
Thanks so much Debie! For sure on the sterile soil....indoors the baddies just go wild. I love my soil microorganisms.....just too hard to balance them indoors.
Love this video. Great infor. And loved how you illustrated a newbie like me watching my seedlings and watering them constantly! Im guilty, lol. Question, so I transplanted my cilantro in a pot that does not have drain holes in it. Can I transplant them again without killing the seedlings? They were already kind of weak as they were getting leggy, and only 2 or 3 were starting to get their true leaf. Please give some guidance on this.. Thank you in advance!
I think you can Kin if you can move the entire soil profile as a block without disturbing the plants. That way, they won't even know they've been transplanted. Cilantro also does grow fast enough that you COULD get away with no drainage and careful watering.....
I just found your channel Jeff and you get a 👍 and a sub from me. I have recently started growing my own herbs and you just happen to have selected everything here that I’m growing! What luck! Oh for sure! It gets planted exactly like cilantro.... About half an inch deep, pretty densely. Keep moist and warm and it'll sprout within a week. Give it as much light as possible and don't over water. Harvest when there's at least 2-3 sets of true leaves.
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms Yes, thank you. I understood this from the video. What I meant is . . . what variety of arugula seeds do I look for? Yours shown here have round-shaped leaves whereas those I've found online are pointed.

Cilantro Spoiler of my meal. The leastest of cilantro in like soup, even mixed so fine, one spoon, STOP eating. I am the happyest man if the rest of my meal goes in.
