Wow - being told you have to get off the stage for the safety of everyone in the arena must have been a huge disappointment to the band as well we the audience. But safety must be the priority of course.
That sucks right as it started to build momentum in their best song! There is a danger with all the electrical equipment. Hindsight eliminate the opening act and start earlier on bad weather days.
What did he say we got caught? They canceled in Lexington ky a few years back and it sucked it was a Saturday night. They came back like 6 months later on a Tuesday which blew but still rocked hard. Dave’s mom got sick he had to bounce.
@@chris329_ I know they didn't come back. I was there. I meant that they would come back to the NYC area again. I am hoping that the band announces something in the next few days.
@@bryankemp9801 Again. I was there. He said that the band would try and come back on if they could do it safely. They couldn't. He also said that if they couldn't come back that the band would be back in the NYC area again.
Should've started the concert in the first place if he knew that the weather is going to turn for worse. The local city always warns the entertainment groups about potential storms in the area but it's up to the band if they want to play despite the warnings. Greed and alcohol addiction is not a good combination. I feel sad for the FF enjoyers.
local nyc newss is never correct with their predictions.they forecast 4-5 days of rain and then the next day the forecast is no rain for the next 5 days. when the storm clouds head east across america they tend to head north as soon as they hit the easst coast. the winds blowing up the coast from florida make them change direction. when the clouds hit N.J. they change the direction so it's always hot or miss with nyc weather forecasts . been living here for 56 years
@@robsalle5096not just social media but the insurance companies covering these shows, being in NY they likely had union stage hands who have their safety rules. The stadium manager probably had an electrician ready to turn the power off. About 10 years ago I was involved with a NFL preseason game and a bad storm came in, we were given 2 minutes to get off air, then the TV trucks got turned off. The safety folks don’t play around with storms anymore. No band would have continued.
Taylor swift would have played through it ... but again her instruments aren't live.

We got called. As in we got called off the stage.
Friday night show is going to be off the hook … it’s going to snow 10 inches !!!!
But will they really be back, no extra charges?
I am sure they will be back but I don't know about a reduced charge.
@@7thwheelThey didn’t come back… And no partial refund. He didn’t performed a lot of songs. The band owns us an hour.

They meant that they were coming back after the lightning stopped but the venue shut them down...Lightning was still going 2hrs later

Not for other bands in the 90's they kept going!
Bands in the 90s didn’t have to deal with social media constantly holding them under a microscope.
People have literally died during weather events like this at concerts, including during the 90s, but go off I guess.
Priorities, guys come on.
