- This is music I found that I found fitting for the courage, and bravery, and the souls lost of the Imperial Guard.

A large group of Tau soldiers i are moving down a road when they hear a voice call from behind a small hill:
"One Imperial Guard is better than ten Tau!"
The Tau commander quickly orders 10 of his best men over the hill, where upon a gun-battle breaks out and continues for a few minutes, then silence.
The voice once again calls out:
"One Guardsmen is better than one hundred Tau."
Furious, the Tau commander sends his next best 100 troops over the hill and instantly a huge gun fight commences. After 10 minutes of battle, again Silence.
The calm Guardsman voice calls out again:
"One Guarsmen is better than one thousand Tau!"
The enraged Tau commander musters 1000 fighters and sends them to the other side of the hill. Rifle fire, machine guns, grenades, rockets and cannon fire ring out as a terrible battle is fought!
Then silence. . .
Eventually one badly wounded Tau fighter crawls back over the hill and with his dying words tells his commander:
"Don't send any more men. . .it's a trap! There's two of them! . . ."
Damn, I was not expecting such a good punchline.
That made me laugh. Stupid fish heads
I saw one variation of this joke and it was about the US Marines fighting the Taliban.

Thomas Duponti Well, in the end, humanity will wither down to a handful and the Astartes will be all but wiped out. Chaos will spread across Segmentum Obscurus and Solar, Terra will be in ruins. Tyranids will evolve faster than any race could keep up with weaponry and consume Segmentum Tempestus, Ultima and Pacificus. Necrons will eventually rise up in great enough numbers to sterilize the galaxy, killing a vast majority of the Tyranids and starving Chaos out of the material universe. Orks will eventually die out fighting the Tyranids and Necrons. Eldar will all die fighting the Necrons as prophesied. The Tau have a 50/50 chance to survive and flourish after the Necrons return to sleep so long as they keep the dream alive in the Eastern Fringe.

It's more of a "don't have a choice" situation with the IG, to be fair. I hate the Tau just a bit, but you stop waffling about my Eldar. Those beautiful fuckers are fighting, quite literally, for their race.

Ollanius Pius, a normal-ass human being, armed with basically a flashlight and toothpick, who stood in the way of Warmaster Horus (after the latter became hyper space Satan) to save a broken, mentally and physically, Emperor. Of course he was killed, but when the Emperor saw his son kill without any regard or hesitation, he was filled with enough purpose to strike down Horus before later dying himself.
His story is that of an everyday human standing his ground against Gods, Daemons, and forces far beyond his comprehension... then immediately saying "Fuck You!"

maybe, its just me but how can people compare Star wars Warfare in anyway too Warhammer 40k ? keep in mind, I am fan of both groups but the books I have read on the 40k universe talk of battles and wars that would flatten the StarWars universe in a week and The Imperium of Man fights them everyday and survives I don't see the comparison regarding War between the Franchises being legit arguments.
They are not legitimate arguments. Star Wars would basically get destroyed because of sheer numbers from the Warhammer side. They are basically opposites and can not be easily compared. The main forces of star wars trying to be peaceful, the ones of warhammer being geared entirely for war.

The empire has a slight advantage in know how to rebuild thier shit unlike the imperium but the imperium has much larger things. I mean if you read scale things the average imperial vessal out does star destroyers. I would have to say the star wars universe could put up a fight if they used hit and run, but their worlds are stationary and fewer in number, and exterminates is a button press away.

the Omnissiah (not omnisire) is recognized by the Imperial Creed as a separate entity, in charge of the machines of the Imperium. I must add that it is also a C'Tan, the Void Dragon, imprisoned in a tesseract prison in Mars. Therefore, it is ot heresy to believe in the Machine Spirit, though it is more often than not worshipped only by Mechanicus members
Mate, you do realize that they wear full carapace armor which is made from Armaplas which is a hybrid between metal and plastic and absorbs heat. The other component the use in Carapace is Ceramite and that is pretty hardcore they put that shit in the armor in land raiders.

I imagine at the start a huge battle and at 3:12 most of them are dead. Then while all the chaos enemies are celebrating, 100 guardsmen charge out in slow motion and for the rest of the song it is just the guardsmen running in slow motion, blazing away with lasguns and then the chaos fall to them.
Still the golden throne is a large machine that is keeping the emperor alive, which is why the Adaptus Mechanicus says that the machine spirit is part of the emperor even if the Machine spirit is an entity of its(his) own.
The Damocles gulf crusade ended in another retreat, leaving yet more imperial guardsmen to be taken prisoners by the Tau, many becoming Gue've'sa - human auxiliaries

Well, we can't help the Tau don't know how to wage war. 30 days you say? My my, that's a new low for them I guess. As for us, we have battled the tyranids countless times on countless battlefields. We shot them with lasguns, we purged them with flamers and we obliterated them with our tanks. And yet, we still have to meet the nid that can stand against a well aimed tank shell. No,my friend, the Tau rely to much on their weapons and do not realise that faith, and faith alone makes one victorious.

This is why I wish that GW would make some goddamn classical/symphony music for their games..,They have the names of all these songs in the books, and by the Emperor I want to hear what "Behold, Behold, the Triumph of Terra" actually sounds like!

you make it seem like that's less of a waste, the life of every single guardsmen is precious, Imperial commanders need to realize that. the day I order my guard into a meat grinder is the day I eat my laspistol.
Remember, technology stagnated after the dark age of technology, and the imperial guard still have the remnants from that time, things which surpass anything we have now.

I know the exterminatus is only used when the planet is lost. I never said it was going to be used during the battle. If they seem to be overwhelming and we can't have the planet then neither can you! Tyranids can kill our fleet and we can kill theirs just as well. We are the Imperium of Man! We do not falter, we do not fail! With every loss, a victory still comes.
