  • The Budweiser Clydesdales make an appearance to show off their team working skills in the rodeo arena during the Friday rodeo in the 2019 WRCA World Championship Ranch Rodeo finals. #WRCA #Clydesdales #Horses #BeerWagon
This was the entertainment event of the second rodeo of the 24th annual WRCA World Championship Ranch Rodeo held at the Civic Center Complex in Amarillo, Texas. A total of four rodeos are held during the week to determine which ranch team will take the world championship back to the ranch with them.
In March of 1995, a group of people from across the western United States created the Working Ranch Cowboys Association. WRCA produces the World Championship Ranch Rodeo as a means to showcase the skills of the working ranch cowboy and to raise funds for the WRCA Foundation (WRCF).
For more information about the organization and the results of the rodeos during 2018 see their website at: wrca.org/

What is the deal with them working theses tiny rodeo arenas. That's not what a 7 horse hitch was ever designed to do. Occasional turns are necessary but these aren't 7 horses with riders circling arena. Rodeo arenas are no place for a team and wagon this size.

Do you know just one of those neck collars each one wears costs $40,000? They are made of the best leather and brass and sewn together with silk thread. I knew one of the truck drivers and he told me that. Each horseshoe weighs about 4 pounds and that wagon weighs close to 4 tons. WOW!! I didn't ask him how much the rest of their tac costs. I was afraid to. lol One big rig carries just the wagon and all their tac.
They have 10 horses that travel with each team and 3 teams that go to different parts of the country. They have to maintain a certain amount of weight or they can't be part of the team. They are pampered like you wouldn't believe and you can own one for about $5,000 - one that doesn't meet all the qualifications to be on a team - coloring, black mane, etc.
They will supposedly be here this coming weekend for our Rodeo Parade if all goes well. I'm trying to get some confirmation. They are magnificent to see in person! :-)

So Budweiser didnt have to brush out there naturally long beautiful fly swatters and make it look like they are tied in a cute little bun with a bow!

Liniile de control sunt legate gresit. Vizitiul trebuie sa aiba in mana dreapta comenzile pentru totii caii pentru doar dreapta si in mana stanga pentru absolut toti caii comanda stanga . Aceste linii se intersecteaza in x.

The horses and wagon are beautiful enough they really don’t need to do anything other than show up and just going around in circle . The announcers voice is very loud to us think what the horses hear they hear way better than us. Lastly I love seeing these horses but it’s not right to put the horses under stress to show off driving skills especially in a such a small arena . Budweiser needs to know that mostly all public wants is to just see the horses . It isn’t necessary to ask these gentle giants to maneuver an obstacle course reining side show that puts horses at risk .

Yah... Looked to me like the wagon wasn't quite perpendicular to the wall, but he got the team to crank around to where they'd be if it was, and that turned the 5th wheel around far enough that the back of the spring (or maybe that near-side front wheel itself?) could get fouled on the bucket, the box, or both, then jerk it loose when he started to swing the team back the other way.
