- Its always great to see these amazing horses in an 8 horse hitch. The sound of their hooves is like nothing else.
They are hitched up and do a turn around American Airlines center to deliver a ceremonial case. A few Dallas Mavericks dancers and Mavs Maniacs were along for the the ride.

We got to see these magnificent horses at our fair about 20 years ago! I followed them all over the fairgrounds! Could not get enough! They are gorgeous horses and so well trained and cared for!

I grew up with horses and "got back into horses" in my 60's. I would just love to groom one of The Budweiser Clydesdales. I hope those horses somehow know how very special they are and how much they are loved and enjoyed by the multitudes. I know I am sounding silly, but they are so well mannered and beautiful.

My first time to pet them was in the barns of the Illinois Stare Fair as a young teenager. We had horses, but storehouse these gorgeous beauties are breathtaking.

I'll never forget seeing the Clydsdales in their home stables at Grant's Farm in St. Louis 25 years ago. So beautiful, beyond words. And so gigantic, yet calm and peaceful. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about them.

I love draft horses. At one time I was “owned” by two beautiful Belgian draft horses. Their names were Luke and Ginger. At that time I also had an Arabian/Paint mare named Lakota. They went to a very responsible horseman after my first heart attack. PudgyMutt is still farming but without my beloved horses. Their daily care and grooming were very taxing on me. For their wellbeing I re-homed them so they got all their needs met daily. Still love and miss them but it was for the best.

I loved the TV commercials on Super Bowl Sundays when they had them. I sure wish they would do some more.
One year they were here in my home town for some event and i took a picture of the back of the trailer after dark, i was walking past the trailer and took a pic of the back of it and after i got the film developed and saw the pic, it looked like the Clydesdale was "a ghost horse ", runmimg out of the darkness. It was one of those right time right place perfectly cool picteures. Never have been able to find that picture nor caprure that perfect moment again. I dont know what happened to that picture.

Oh hell yea... i would love to come back as one. Although I have a phantom poodle no bigger than a squirrel she is black with white boots and chest. She looks like a mini Clydesdale when she runs... she's got the life too lol. Plus daddy loves budwiser...😉👍
You'd have to be lotto lucky to be selected as one. They all have to meet very specific standards and requirements. But well worth it. They are all well taken care of.
They live better than 90 percent of humans do. They are so beautiful and just so much fun to watch them at events. Use to live in St. Louis and loved seeing them!

The amazing thing is to see the driver( drover?) with each reins pressure meaning something to each horse and how they back them up to be unloaded with front two turned sideways to let traffic by in wagon days. Each horse has different wgt to work the position it's put in. He was amazing
This is a wonderful tradition and a critical breeding program to preserve these amazing horses for us all to enjoy. This is part of our truly American heritage! Thank you Budweiser!!!

I saw the beautiful Clydesdales one time in Shreveport, LA. They are incredible but they are smelly when they sweat.

The irony is, this is exactly where the term Horse Power came from. It was based on the general dragging ability of a single Clydesdale to pull a certain amount of weight.

I'm learning to drive just one horse, it is very different from riding, as far as using your hands, they must remain quiet. I can't imagine the hours of training to learn to read 8 different horses.

If you think what you're seeing is cruel in any way, I can assure you these horses are perfectly fine.
1. Their tails are NOT docked, just braided so they don't get caught in something.
2. Blinders help horses focus, minimize distractions and things to spook them
3. Bits are perfectly fine, when used correctly they will not hurt the horse.
4. They have shoes on and they are moving slowly so the pavement won't injure their legs
5.These horses have to be used to a city environment by now so they are calm amongst all the noise and people
6. They love their job and are eager to do it. Carriage pulling is what they've been trained for and are very suited to it (look at them constantly toss their heads, saying "I wanna go I wanna go!")
Plus there are a wide variety of bits thet gets tested out to fit the horses needs and comfort:)
These beauties need to make a come back to television commercials. I do not even drink alcohol. However, I always looked forward to the clydesdales and the iconic jingle. Today's television programming and commercials suck. Then again, the cars, jobs, economy, prices, and governments suck as well.

Unfortunately, the idea of beautiful transportation seems to be gone. But the horse's beauty goes on. I rescued a Tennessee walking horse three years ago. It was the most broken down, bow legged, miserable animal I have ever seen. Today, she stands tall, beautiful, strong, and has become rideable. I never wanted to become a horse person. But I was not going to allow a young suffer so much. It was about $12,000 to get her to the beautiful mare she is today.
Horse's hoof crashes into metal....he is BEYOND COOL about the noise. TEXAS LOVES THE CLYDESDALES!! Make our quarter horses look itty-bitty and undisciplined.🤣

Do they cut their tails because being long it would hit the other horses in the face.
I think it's just for looks. They used to do that on carriage horses a long time ago. I also heard that they the reins might get caught under their tail sometimes, and that could cause trouble. So they bobbed them. - like in Jingle Bells, bells on bob tails ring, making spirits bright, what fun it is to laugh and sing, a sleighing song tonight............
To avoid tangling and injuries I case of accidents or such, also for traditional looks. Most times this time around they usually just braid and tuck them
catching a ride on the wagon seems to take away the dignity and magestness of the presentstion

It would be soooo cool if the horses were gated to lockstep!
I don't believe lock stepping is a natural gait.
How many people realize that although beautiful to watch they are ALIVE ???!!! All that standing still with a metal bar in your mouth !!!

To cut a horses tail should NOT be allowed.
Not 100% but those tails looked braided and tucked.
It’s absolutely NOT necessary to have bits in these lovely horse’s mouths and blinders over their eyes! The tails can be let down, too. That is how a horse gets flies off their body.
Some horses have to have bits because they won't respond well to a bridle without one. Generally, bits are the best thing unless of course it's hurting them but most of the time bits are very comfortable in a horse's mouth and causes no issues. The blinders help keep them focused and the tails are tied up so they don't get caught in the metal harness.
Blinders still let them see just narrow the space to avoid spooking them and there are such a wide range of bits that gets tested just right to what the horses need and feel comfortable with:)
Good lord you are going to have massive heart attacks when Americans see this commercial. Their beloved Clydesdales in Russia. Being spoken to in Russian..understanding Russian..they were horse napped and brain washed. Trump has to declare war.
