😱 What Happens If You Encounter Miraak After Defeating Alduin in Skyrim?

- Did you ever think about what would happen if you encountered Miraak after defeating Alduin? Here's what he said to me when I approached him in the early stages of the game. But what happens if you meet him after defeating Alduin? Will he comment on it in any way? I decided to check it out. To do this, I headed to Skuldafn, found the portal leading to Sovnguard, and used it. After that, I found myself in the afterlife of the Nords. Next, I faced a battle with Sune, during which he simply stood there and did not react to my attacks - for once, a Skyrim bug turned out to be useful. Then I entered the Hall of Valor, met the ancient Nord heroes, and proceeded directly to the open expanse to face Alduin.
Miirak: "i totally could've taken that guy"
Also Miirak: literally hiding in a gods realm because the dragons aint playin games
He tried his best to escape the realm to lay waste to the world. He is stronger than any dragons with only Valok to be his match, but he is still far below the deadric prince.
In the past yes he is hiding from the dragons and Valok but he gain tremendous power while he is in Mora's realm and once again gain the confidence to rule the world but Mora won't let him leave.
@@zeronime284but the enchanted fork of funny 1 shots him
@@Sablegladius the enchanted Fork is a weapon forged by the gods themselves my friend. That nasty weapon is far surpassing Miraak if only he knows what he is facing.
😂
The fork is just built different@@Sablegladius
Didnt miraak hide in fear of the dragons? "I totally could have killed alduin" yeah ok bro
Yea what he means by “i choose a different path”. He really means the dragon priest guardian , and a legion of pissed off dragons. He only survived due to Hermes Mara coming in with the clutch retrieval.
His path is like a Papillon dog's behind fence - loudly barking till someone enters in
Doesn't he have a shout that oneshots dragons?
@willietowns2491: a shout that one shots dragons?... try more like - a shout that entirely absorbes a dragon and it's soul 'fore it's even dead...
...I wish Dragonrend would work on Miraak to keep the bastard in one place while you just put him out of his Apocrypha misery
"I could have killed Alduin."

To be fair Alduin is the easiest dragon to kill
@@samurai2871because you're supposed to be very powerful during that fight.
Uh oh ur the nerd 🫡

With ease, but he chose a different path
Mirakk: I chose a different path?
Me: Ahh yes the path of doing very little besides killing a few dragons?
and besides all stealing a few dragon souls
"I could have killed Alduin, but I was sick that day"
"and i was drunk and high, i don't want to hear it"
"I swear I was this close to killing alduin"
Reminds me of a guard dialogue if you choose to destroy the Dark Brotherhood
"You know, I could have gone into that Sanctuary, killed all those Dark Brotherhood types. But I was... sick that day."
Technically, he is stronger, than alduin
"Alduin would give me a little trouble at his full strength"
"But would you lose?"
"Nah, I'd hide"
-the one who hide behind it all

Old school players know this voice line because they beat alduin before the miraak dlc came out
Yeah, I didn't even think about the fact there would be a voice line for if you did the DLC first
I started the game before the DLC and killed Miraak like this or last year for the first time, same with Alduin xD Always doing other stuff
@@amiraka8967I’ve only had the game for a week now and yet I’ve barely gotten anything done because of you give me a game like Skyrim I get far too distracted by exploring the map T-T
mirak shouldn't be talking, I've taken the dude down with the Knife and Fork without using the alchemy loop, just base, straight level 100 smithing
Bro really got low-diffed by cutlery Karstag would never
Thats not unrealistic tho like he a normal dude with magic … and if you were actually really legendarily good at smithing making exceptionally sharp and robust utensils would be pretty easy and i guess the physical conditioning would make it like being mauled by a midsized wild cat 😂
Adept Mode
@@Cattling7961 nah, three hours of caffeine and autism induced hyper focus
You can't improve forks and knives with smithing. The only way to improve them is with fortify one-handed (the gamer special 😂).
But that would be enchanting, making your comment likely cap. Besides, the time that would take on legendary would mean that you would have to heal yourself to a degree which is only possible with custum made enchantments with a total of -100% restoration costs.
On Legendary damage is divided by 3, It's safe to say that utensils will not go above 20 damage. Meaning that the most powerfull dual weilding attack with all of the perks would shave away about 35HP even with the bonus from dragon aspect. With normal attacks doing around a meesly 5. Couple that with the time needed to switch to and heal and then back to the utensils and it would probably have taken around 15 minutes.
the rule is clear, first kill Alduin and then do other things, like find Miraak 🤔
Why? I can agree
But dragon aspect is my favorite shout, man...
Nah I find it funny to be a ridiculously overpowered dragon born, thane of several holds, hero of the land, known by many. And somehow after doing so many things I can go to the companions and they’ll be like “I’ve never even heard of this outsider” ok Vilkas. Whatever you say. Keep pretending you didnt notice the war getting fought by me, or the dragons getting slain daily by Tundra Homestead.

Dragonborn: "look fam hold the cap. your ass got whooped so hard by dragons you came here to hide. meanwhile i whooped alduin and got several dragon's to swear allegiance to me. including an undead one!"
I can just imagine both Miraak and Mora being taken aback by new sentences that had never been spoken before.
@@sentane8031it's hilarious to think that Mora would be even more confused because he basically holds all the world's knowledge and yet not even he knows modern lingo

Miraak also has different dialogue based on the number of dragons you killed
Oh? Like what?

Miraak: “Hermaus hold me back bro hold me back”
“I could’ve killed Alduin!”

I always loved that his reaction was basically "I could dance like that too, if I felt like it."
"I could have done that too"
"Just put the mask in the bag lil bro"
same energy as "I would've done it but I was sick that day"
Bit of a tangent, but I love the fact that Miirak uses the bend will shout to control his dragons, whilst all the dragons in allegiance with the Dragonborn did so of their own accord, usually a sense of mutual respect. I think that's an interesting parallel between Miirak and the Dragonbrorn
Krosis yes!!
"I could have gone to Sovngarde, killed Alduin, but I was... sick that day." - Miraak, prolly. =^[.]^=
bro didn't want to admit he got skill issue💀
"They wanted to use me to deal with Alduin - Hakon and the rest. I chose otherwise."
But Miraak is in the DLC, wasn’t it always intended for you to meet him after defeating Alduin?
yah, but its an open world game. You can do quests in almost any order you like, so the developers have to make sure that you have options.
I didn't realise Miraak, and the Dawnguard stuff was DLC, lol. I just fot Skyrim recently and didn't realise it was the anniversary edition, so I thought it was in the base game.
@@parklez3250 honestly it’s lucky cause base game is incredible on its own but they’re still adding new things so that’s definitely the better one to have
No not really u should prolly be level 50 for alduin fight so the new account people would make they would prolly fight him first
Yeah but even durheviir had dialogue for if you don't even know you're dragonbirn yet
"Didn't Valok clap your cheeks and you ran to Apocrypha like a milk drinker" 😂
This series is wildly informative, probably one of the best uses of the Shorts format I've seen to date. Gg bruh
I always liked his voice. i was looking at voice actors in games a year ago and holy moly... its the same guy as Paladin Danse. my favorite character in F4. what can i say, dude's got a great voice
Like when you do something cool and your older sibling is like: "yeah i coulda done that too, if i tried"
Hermaeus Mora: (rolls his eyes) Where's my rent money?!
Miraak: You'll get your rent when you fix these damn bridges!
He’s like that uncle who swear he could’ve gone pro if he wanted to
It didn’t matter what he said to me because I summoned 2 Dremora Lords 😂. The capture of that Demon was hilarious. Just screamed “How dare you”
There's another one if you have killed over a certain number of dragons. But it's basically just the same.
Nah Miraak was just too Absorbed to the side quests 😂
Now I can relate to the guy. Literally started skyrim 10+ times, accomplished the main quest only once

Lol this made me feel old. Back in the day, when this dlc FINALLY came out, we had all already beat alduin and most or all of the game. So i only ever got this dialogue. But im def going to be replaying soon but i have no idea which order i plan on doing things. The first time was such a wonderful experience. Everything being so new and explorable. Starting off on a quest and ending up on the opposite side of the map, doing random side quests conpletely forgetting about what you originally set out to do. I didnt get that feeling from a game again until i got elden ring recently. Just as obsessed now.
Just try doing something totally different, like being a pure mage.
Bring a pure mage is fun. It's ridiculously over powered. @@oulhadjouldsaadi9978
Dont go to the temple but do all other quests in Solstheim first, he wont start stealing dragonsouls from you untill after you went to the temple. You can also get all the other black books and the only dragonsoul he steals from you will be the one from the dragon that attacks after you get the book from the Dwemer ruin.
Then you should totally play baldurs gate 3, is that feeling but ten times better, and the npcs arent stupid like in bethesta games and react to almost everything you do, of course skyrim is old so its allright for the time it game out, but after playong bg3 the standar is pretty high
@@salvajsdf that's why all other game companies were complaining about it, they set the standards so high that the other game developers struggle to keep up with them.
i thought Earth was non existent in Elder Scroll series, the planet Skyrim is in is called Nirn
Everyones trying to roast Miraak but everyone is forgetting, Miraak didn't help the ancient tongues in taking oit Alduin, he sought to go about his own path, he waged war against both the dragon cult and the ancient tongues he painted himself into a corner fighting a war on two fronts
Says the one who always steal someone's dragon's soul
"You know, I could've gone to Sovngarde myself and slayed Alduin. But I was... sick that day."
MIIRAK: I could’ve killed him.
DRAGON BORN: Proceeds to fade MIIRAK and take all his shit. 🤣🤣🤣
All OG players already know this.
"Well um, err, i could have beaten the world eater too!"
Everyones slandering miraak for saying "i could of killed alduin", forgetting that at that point you as the mc need to grow in strength a number of times just to be considered a match for him by the prince of knowledge himself.
At this point, when he said that, he could indeed have killed alduin.
Miraak really just said "Nah i'd win."

Tsun: STANDING HERE, I REALISE
YOU ARE JUST LIKE ME, TRYING TO MAKE HISTORY
This is unbelievable. I started my first adventure a week ago. And someone is making a new guide for beginners. I think we both forgot that it's 2024, almost 2025. Thank you
Didnt realize people encountered miraak before killing the original bbeg. The dialogue here is what i received but thats because i had beaten the base game before that dlc came out. Ironically however i have still yet to beat dawnguard.
Miraak saying he could have slain Alduin is like that kid in the park who says he can do a packflip but doesn’t because “he doesn’t feel like it”
This is the same energy as “bro I could never join the army bro because I’d just beat up the drill sergeant bro”.
Dude basically discovered their form of agriculture and settled civilisation.
This JJJ meme got me😂😂😂😂
I think you would also get a different dialogue with him if killed alot more dragons before meeting him.
Saving time with the complete options listed in the Wiki:
If less than ten dragons have been slain, he scoffs: You have done little beyond killing a few dragons.
If between ten and twenty-five dragons have been slain, he remarks: You have defeated dragons, yes, but still...
If more than twenty-five dragons have been slain, he says: You have slain a great many dragons, I see. And yet...
If Alduin has been defeated, he remarks: So you have slain Alduin... well done. I could have slain him myself, back when I walked the earth, but I chose a different path.
Yep - my first Dovahkiin was before the DLC came out, so this happened when I met Miraak. MAN, that DLC rocks. Love it so very much. (and Skyrim of course)
Kthuku just sitting in the background chilling.
Miraak would’ve gotten devoured in Alduin’s stomach 😂
"I couldve killed alduin but...I sneezed three times that morning"
Always thought Miraak was intimidating but I learned he’s really some dude who pissed off a LOT of people and dragons and just hides forever in a gross place wearing gross clothes forcing friendship with a gross entity.
bro can't even defend himself against the dragons that he had to hide in another dimension
My Dragonborn in full dragon armor that hasn’t killed Alduin yet:
Mirrak: You have done little other than kill a few dragons.
The dragonborns version of "I couldve gone pro if it wasn't for my bum knee"
Miraak has some amazingly potent copium.
I joined forces with pathernaux and odahving and the greybeards I don't believe in dishonest trechery and dishonorer I fought for everything that is honorable
Not finishing the main quest is a Dragonborn move that had been passed down for generations from the first to the last 😂
First time playing and literally today I met him after killing alduin and wow this is some crazy timing
Miraak: I could've taken Alduin, but I took an arrow to the knee, and I've been hiding since...
I’m amazed you didn’t start with the escape from Helgen
Not even a huge fan of Skyrim and I've been binging your shorts. Such fascinating hidden trivia!
Come on Miraak, that's the "I could've done it better myself" trope.
miraak is a dragonborn yet can't speak louder than my steam deck ventilator.
Tsun: Yeah yeah... you want Icecream? Would that make you calm down?
Wow who knew it would change the dialog that's gonna be wild......
"I could have slain him myself, when I still walked the earth"
"Only the last Dragonborn is capable of that, and seeing as I still walk the earth and you don't, well.."
In earlier times, Alduin and Miraak lived at the same time.
Miraak was the leader of the Dragon Cult, the cult that worshipped dragons, who, in turn, were led by Alduin
I mean, I could have destroyed Mike Tyson, but I chose a different path as well...
Thanks for making me feel old because the first thing I thought was.
"Who doesn't know this, it's the last dlc that came out" 😂
This is how my first experience with miraak was.
"I could've killed Alduin but I took an arrow to the knee."
WAIT MIRAK IS IN THE BLACK BOOK?!
I am currently in the dragon born quest line but started a new game cause I got bored of the cultists, and I also found the black book but never finished it!!
The three tongues Hakon One-Eye, Felldir the Old and Gormlaith Golden-Hilt had actually asked miraak for his help in their fight against alduin he refused insinuating that he had other plans.
Miraak also has dialogue about Alduin during the final battle with him
Headed straight to sovngarde.
How Nord 2 hand warrior of you 😅
Lol Miraak using the "I could have done that if I felt like it" excuse 😂😂😂
Claims he could’ve defeated Alduin yet he lost to a single dragon priest 💀
"really? bc what i heard was the dragons mopped the floor with your ass and burnt your temple to the ground"
Me: "You would've if you could've"
Miirak is the type of guy to see a player miss a bycicle kick and say he would have scored that if he was in the match.
I watched this after I already did it
I mean considering when you first meet him he’s able to one shot you even after beating Alduin, it’s not an impossibility.
Bro was like nah I'd win
Mirak is a chump. He literally hides in an alternate dimension. The true dragonborn has nothing to hide from
Miraak - I could've killed him myself
Dragonborn - you're hiding behind an octopus... Tf??!?
“I could have killed Alduin in my sleep, it’s unfortunate I was awake.”
I used to be so freaked out by those books that I would avoid them at all cost!
Meet him before you become Dragonborn
I don’t think that’s possible due to the DLC requiring you know Dragon Shouts.
Edit: And can use them.
He has even more dialog if youve killed a more dragons, but not Alduin. He has one for killing very few, which is in this vid, one if youve killed abiut 15-20 and another if youve killed around 30
Boy got bodied when he walked the earth yeah ok Miraak ok lmao
