- Russian Air Force Ilyushin IL-76 RA-76669 departs Sydney bound for Brisbane as TTF9073.
After a 2 minute engine warm up, it rotated very early but climbed very slow and shallow.

Yea but there's no tail armament anymore
Especially this plane are a civilian plane
That "tail window" also exist on other plane like Antonov-12 , Tupolev Tu-16 , Ilyushin Il-28 and etc
On many aircraft still have cannons in the tail. Even the gunners are trained to shoot at targets in exercises.

They are more powerful
But the 767 has a lot cleaner burning engines than a IL-76. For example a car has a lot less emissions than a motorbike even tho the cars engine is many times more powerful
