I just love your photography, I can get lost in it your art. Out of all the photography UA-cam channels I watch, I get the most enjoyment and knowledge from yours.
Stunning photos! I've got to say I didn't think anything could top your photos from China for me ... the snowy mountains ... but this Iceland series is right up there! Thanks for taking us along! Someday I'd love to visit Iceland!!
Iceland is so unique across the entire island & a place I hope to visit someday. It brings to mind Yellowstone in my own country looking at all that steam rising from the thermal vents... The images look great too... Thanks Adam... :~)
Wow that was a visual experience, just incredible! Loved that image with tiny Tom in the background, really gave the photo a WOW factor - such epic landscapes. Thanks Adam for a wonderful 14 mins of joy!
The pics you showed in the video are awesome. I especially like how you show the raw file and then show the difference when you complete the editing. Great video and again...great pics!
Great intro. Love the Iceland color transition. Blue to white to red. It is the land of fire and ice. Nice. Another enjoyable video with gorgeous scenes. The comps you pick call to me and I'd hope mine would be similar. The abstract moody Iceland landscape of prettiness. :)
Well, I don’t think you needed to worry at the end about not getting any decent shots on the second visit! They were all very ethereal, but the one with Tom in the landscape, and I think the one after, with the River and vibrant green in top right, were my faves. I really liked the processing too where you’d brought out the colours. Stunning Landscape!
You plainly enjoyed the trip a lot, it comes across in your images and the drone footage is some of the best I've seen from you in some time. Thanks for sharing it with us!
I thought this might have been the best Iceland video, but maybe I am just getting to know and appreciate the landscape more, as much as I can know it from afar.
These are stunningly beautiful images Adam and I can see them in an exhibition, on the wall, as a book or boxed set. Simply gorgeous. Colours are pleasing, calming as are the shapes and the steam adds atmosphere, all topped with your superb eye for processing.
I've never been to Iceland; your images are sure inspiring me to pursue a trip in future. Love the way you explain the way you arrived at your beautiful compositions. BTW , I was near your neck of the woods last week and visited Englishman River Falls on the basis of one of your previous videos. Thank You :-)
Itchyboots was in Iceland around the same time you guys were and from her videos I kept saying "stop there! Great comp!". But she never did. sigh...... Looks like a great place to live for a year or so and really get to know it and its' people.
Very nice video Adam with the steam and colorful landscape. I agree that mostly I prefer scenes without people especially when they are right there very large and there’s not a real sense of scale like your images with Tom. IMHO it’s distracting but that’s just me. Thanks for the nice work! ✊
Adam, your drone captures are stunning and well conceived. I really enjoy the way you show the raw file then the final image. Your editing is superb...it matches the esthetic that I strive to achieve in my work. Many kudos for your talent and art. I'm hopeful to meet you for a field shoot one of these days in the not too distant future.
Beautiful. Did you find that shutter speed affected how the steam appeared in the shot? I noticed some of you shots were at 1/15. Did you try longer exposures?
Wow! What a bunch of excellent photos from that day. 👌 I guess you have become "home blind" when yo said: "Ehh maybe the images are good and maybe not, I will see" C´mon Adam, I would jump on one leg, if I was there and saw that scenery. 😁
I hope you're selling your drone footage on Adobe Stock or somewhere. It's amazing. Lovely photos as always. Iceland looks like an incredible place. Great video, Adam.
Wow, watching your video and pics is like stepping off to another world. I haven't heard it mentioned in other videos, but what do you use to edit your GFX files? The mist stack with Tom on the distant hill blew my mind, killer final image!
Hi Adam, I own a BH-55 ball head, which I cannot carry for most places or trips because of weight. Do you think this CTC Highline Small ball head is equally good as BH-55. My biggest concern usually with ball heads is the minor drift each time you lock the ball head and take your hands off the camera. Also we do you plan to review it?
Am I he only one who sees a sleeping dragon in the shot at 7:30? It’s laying on its side, the dark shape in the back ... Anyways, breathtaking photos! Would love to visit that location some day.
Really great pictures. I never have been there. it must be so good to have the opportunity. In some of the processed pictures the steam is a bit too bright and harsh for my taste. half a step back to RAW so that a bit more softness is in the steam would be better. But it is a matter of taste. Ask 10 people you probably get 10 opinions. Really great pictures anyway…
I haven't used it a great deal but it seems to be a very solid lens, good sharpness and contrast, reasonably light for the focal length and happily come with a tripod collar.
@@QuietLightPhoto Thank you! There isn't many alternatives if you don't go for an adapter and say a Canon 70-200 and hope it doesn't vignettes to much! =)
My partner makes them although this one was felted as well. I will actually be selling hats on my website in the next few weeks so stay tuned. Unfortunately the felted hats take a lot longer to make so the price would be prohibitive.
I noticed that you're using the 32-64 and now the 100-200. Is there a reason why you're not using the new 45-100 lens? I guess I'm wondering if you decided that those two lenses cover all your needs.
Hi Adam, lovely set of images. I noticed you’re using the Shimoda Explore bag instead of the Action X bag, do you have a preference on one over the other, and if so, what features would influence your choice? Thanks
Hard to say, both are really great bags. If I had to choose I would probably go with the Action X since I really like the roll-top and the pocket on each side for tripods since I carry two.
I preferred the raw files because they were colder. Why warm up an image for a place like iceland which is cold? It just looks wrong and the feeling has gone.
That photo with Tom at the top is simply wonderful! Feels like a painting by one of the masters.
Wow. Nice images and the way you show the raw files in the video. Very nice, from unedited to edited in combination with the surroundings. Shapeau!
That drone sequence at the intro, was magnificent!
Allways a pleasure to watch
I just love your photography, I can get lost in it your art. Out of all the photography UA-cam channels I watch, I get the most enjoyment and knowledge from yours.
Thank you for providing the opportunity to travel vicariously through your content. Awesome as always.
you're definitely low key one of the best cinematic drone pilots I've seen.
Tom's silhouette in that one picture really added nice scale to the photo. The hills were much bigger than I imagined. As always, inspiring stuff Adam
Beautiful Landscape😊. So I am inspired to take photos , early in the morning 😊👍. Very good Video. Have a good day!
Stunning photos! I've got to say I didn't think anything could top your photos from China for me ... the snowy mountains ... but this Iceland series is right up there! Thanks for taking us along! Someday I'd love to visit Iceland!!
Glorious images, Adam. You have an artist's eye! Have thoroughly enjoyed all your Iceland photographs - what an incredible place.
Fabulous video and images Adam 🙏👏👏👏
Awesome Adam the shot with Mr Heaton in it was my favourite 👌
Incredible landscape, footage, and images. I've already watched it twice and can't stop watching it.
Thanks Adam for being such a great inspiration!
Found your channel via the chap with legs that couldn't stop a pig in an alleyway aka Fototripper! Love your images!
Great drone intro. Awesome photo’s. I love the colours. Steam sure got the same effect as mist, so beautiful. Thnx for sharring Adam.

The images look great too...
Thanks Adam... :~)
I'm looking forward to more of your forest/woodland photography.. 😁
Fantastic introduction drawing us all in. Lovely images and great that you share your thoughts.👍🙂

Thumbs up from me mate. The processing on that first image was magical. Great work mate.
Excellent! thanks, Alister
Gorgeous steam stacking work!
Thanks for sharing Iceland impressions!
Great nature, time to come back!

I’m envious!
Awesome shots Adam, sure I'm not the only one who would be fascinated to see how you edited these pics.
Beautiful shot Adam, that last one was especially spot on👍🏻
More than OK Adam!! Another great video with some very nice captures. Love the mix of colors!

Something very Ansel Adams(y) in the last capture. Very stunning and soothing photos!
some great images loved the whole series from iceland
Class images as ever
I’m sure TH would treasure a copy of that one Adam, superb work as ever!!
reeeealy liking the backlight shot at the end! Also the curve of that path worked so well earlier on. I'd be so giddy getting shots like those haha
Hi Adam! Happy Sunday all!
enjoyed as always
Great examples of the stark beauty of nature. Rock on!

Very nice, as always. Whenever I see photos of Iceland it makes me want to go there. Maybe after COVID-19.
Great video 👍🏼absolutely stunning shots 🤟🏻

Nice shots and vlog mate. I also picked up the F4 videos. Great value and content!
Thanks a ton!
Another great video Adam, thank you.
Wow what a beautiful place - stunning captures 😍
wonderful
Awesome as usual :)
Any update on shipping of Quiet Light?
Looks almost like another planet. One expects to find three moons or suns in the sky. Very intriguing!
Love the intro drone footage! Oh how I wish I had had a drone with me in the highlands last year and years past.
Maybe make a mini movie of Iceland with all the drone footage?
Beautiful. Did you find that shutter speed affected how the steam appeared in the shot? I noticed some of you shots were at 1/15. Did you try longer exposures?
Such an interesting place to photograph, yes, the images did work well. Such a significant contrast from Vancouver Island isn't it. Cheers.

Those are beautiful images, Adam.
That last shot was a bit saucy. How are you liking that XT4 for the filming?
I like it, definitely more wiggle room with exposure in high contrast situations.
This means Gavin's gonna have his own within the next 2-3 weeks
@@dipanoza5191 Nah, but I might fancy that GFX
@@fototripper That GFX is on sale for $1000 off and it's so tempting...
Adam Some great shots here. But I would love to see you use the D850 again for your land scapes.
Those comps were just delicious .. great episode
Thanks, mate!
Great stuff, Adam. 👏🏻 Keep’em coming.

Great drone footage Adam, smoother than a baby’s bottom

I just use Photoshop and Lightroom, work fine for my uses.

Don't care which camera shot with, but the photography is great.

Very nice Video! Where can i buy the l Bracket?
im interested in seeing Adims video on the Fujifilm GFX100.
Is that a Colorado Tripod Highline Ballhead, with the lever clamp?
It is except a smaller version
@@QuietLightPhoto I'm waiting on two Mini's I ordered last month. Good things come to those who wait. ;)

Hi Adam, I have GFX50r, but it gives me completely black shadows (in raw). How do you properly expose the image? Do you just pull up the histogram?
Also, you're the only person to answer the question before I asked it. "Where do you people take all your music?" Epidemic, thats where.
Are you using film simulations with your Fuji equipment, or just standard?
Just standard
Great shots! =) Do you like the 100-200 lens for the GFx? Im interested in one but haven't found many reviews on it.
yeah I have no idea if that would work and to be honest am not personally excited about using adapters for anything.
I am now one of your biggest fans. Wish you would tell me where you got your hat, I really want one.

Yes very easy, money, money and money. I currently have one on loan so perhaps there will be one in my future.

Difficult to perceive the scale in one shot. Looks really difficult.
is there a UA-cam video that squarespace doesn't sponsor these days?
Probably not
