You guys were SO incredibly lucky with the weather... You had better weather on this single tour than I had on my previous three during November collectively.
Thank you Nick (and Thor) for the experience! Like many places, Iceland gives it out if you seek it (and sometimes it just gives and gives). We had a fantastic team and I learned a lot from each and every person. Perfect, day and night. Keep going...
Absolutley awesome shots! I dont know how you can pull it off, because I've seen photos from this places a thousand times, like everyone else who follows landscape photography, but yours still have a feeling of "freshness". Great work on post.
Wowwww them photos with the waterfalls was stunning and that mountain one beautiful people like u inspire me so much wunderful wunderful wunderful photos
I thought you were going to lose you beard as well as your hat for a second there Nick, but what a place! Much respect for your stellar work and dedication.
Of all the millions of images I've seen of Iceland, this last batch you got is by far the most powerful, inspiring, and beautiful to me! Such a great episode Nick!
Your trip started out with some seriously crazy weather, but it looks like things settled in and you guys were able to capture some amazing images. Great work!
Wow! The delegates on your workshop must be over the moon! The snow and sunset illuminating the ice made for truly awesome images. As for the Aurora Borealis, incredible. Some people wait all week and never see it. What a truly fantastic workshop. The snow really was 'the icing on the cake'. Sorry about that, I could not help myself. Very very beautiful photographs. Thanks for a thrilling video.
It is a great to see your video Nick. I met you on a diamond beach one morning and I was so impressed with the guy with just one leg who managed to photograph in these circumstances. It looked like you had a really nice time together. Greetings from Michael from Sweden.
Great Video. Love the photos and the experience of the snow and wind. I went in May and I thought it was cold and windy then but no comparison to the wind in your video. Except for 1 day a Dettifoss, the wind blew my tripod over.
@nickpage your capturing of delicate light and moody atmosphere, is darn near Master level. Great stuff Nick, glad your Iceland workshop was fruitful! Have a great day!
I’m watching this while I’m transferring wine from a tank to another at work here in Yakima... and it makes me hate my life !!! LOL AMAZING VIDEOS ! Thanks for sharing a bit of a dream !!
@@CROATIAMAGIC lol we consistently have at least 20 mph winds here in the Midwestern USA so I'm not a stranger to it but this kinda stuff is next level windy!
Yeah, the same thing can be said in JTree and Death Valley. If you stay by the super iconic spots that you drive up to, its a cluster... but if you walk away about a half-mile its complete blissful solitude. I tend to just wanted off into the wilderness for my own sanity and my own perspective.
Awesomeness! How did your and your friends equipment fair in the cold? Anything not work because of the weather? Thanks for the images and video. Well done.
You are finally getting to the level where I can make a comment. ;) Gorgeous photos man! I am sitting here in my PJs drinking a nice cup of hot tea, watching this psychotic madness thinking.. "I am so glad that other photographers are willing to tough it out in climates I would never be caught dead in so I can see all of God's beautiful creation because I never would see it otherwise!" Extreme cold coupled with extreme winds equals a good UA-cam binge for me! How did those Sony batteries work for you in all that cold?
Great pictures love them. But if had a limited income and you can't travel to locations like Iceland or Grand Canyon. What kind of pictures can you get in your local area. I think that could be a challenge i would like to see you can do. Great job as always.
I LOVE that shot at 4:15! The ice "lamps" are brilliant as well. All in all a great trip with lots of fantastic shots. How many hours of sunlight is available at this time of year?
Ahhh Iceland! I know most would cringe looking at those opening scene conditions, but I love it! I think the lack of snow in Australia make me want to experience more and more! That was some incredible light over those snow field though man! Truly beautiful. Out of curiosity, did you try a lav mic to try and reduce wind noise? I totally agree that Iceland is getting busier and busier. But on our recent trip there I was surprised how EASY it was to find places completely abandoned and to yourself! There were a few canyons and gorges that Haylie and I didn't see anyone at all day! And for Iceland, with such beautiful depth in the landscapes, was an amazing experience to just be alone. The noise of the birds, winds through valley, running water.... stunning. Did you capture any timelapses of the northern lights? If you're like me im sure there is enough normal photos to make a timelapse haha Also great job on the pronunciation of those Icelandic names :D
Have been Iceland many times over the years and it never fails to disappoint.
Absolutely the best photos I’ve seen from Iceland ever
Awesome! Iceland's incredible!
You guys were SO incredibly lucky with the weather... You had better weather on this single tour than I had on my previous three during November collectively.
yeah, we got so much great light and interesting conditions, I pretty much replaced my entire Iceland portfolio on this one trip. crazy!
It's all about planning ;)
@@ThorarinnJonsson You said it was always like this! Thanks so much Thor!

Awesome images. As much as I hate the cold I think I could be convinced to make the trip.
Awesome pictures you've taken in this video, but the best of them is the last one with the ice block on the beach. Just love it
WOW!! These images are incredible!! Always look forward to your videos!!

EPIC!!!! Some stunning images captured! 👍👊
You are correct about escaping the crowds by taking just a few hundred steps. This was exactly my experience in the fall of 2017.
Now I remember Nick, landed on your Crashing Waves vlog a couple years ago and it’s great to see your photography really evolving!
Outstanding work
Nick you killed it, these are some of the most unique and breathtaking images i have seen from Iceland
Wow great light in winter there? Lucky you. We pulled Thor out once he was stuck in the parking lot. No joke. I do like his van though.
Beautiful
It looked like an awesome trip! Really love the snow blowing photos :-)
Nice to see some different images of Iceland Nick. You guys obviously had a great time.
Ah the images of the cracked ice. Simply stunning Nick. All you have to do is cross the pond. 😂😁😉
Like your view on how to escape the other tourists :-)
It is a great to see your video Nick. I met you on a diamond beach one morning and I was so impressed with the guy with just one leg who managed to photograph in these circumstances. It looked like you had a really nice time together. Greetings from Michael from Sweden.

Phillip Thomas Photography a strong bura can produce average windspeeds of almost 80 mph. the strongest gust that was ever measured was 190 mph...
search for “Pag Bridge Hurricane Force Bura 13.03”..and that was “only” 105mph;)
@@CROATIAMAGIC that is absolutely insane! You could see the woman's face moving with the wind!
Always happy to see your videos 👍🏻
Great video Nick with superb photography. You battled the conditions well. That reminded me of when i was young living up north in Sweden. Cheers!
Amazing! Always keeping me inspired!
Great images and vlog, thanks for sharing.
Wow, that looked epic!
That kirkjufell shot with the ice is killer and unique! Honestly it is prob better than any of the kirkjufellsfoss i have seen.
you are a inspiration. I love your photos, it motivates me to go out and take pictures. someday you have to come to patagonia

Haha! Looks like windy out there! 😂☕️ thanks man you made my day with your videos. 👁👌🏻
My favorite part is at 1:03 with the Oom-Pah-Pah music from the killer backseat videographer you must have hired for that short but sweet clip....
Very nice photos man. Iceland is a beautiful place
