I love the excitement on your face when you first sat down at the bench! You look like your having so much fun. Looked like perfect holes in that first group. Certainly seems like a shooter in your capable hands.
Hell yeah, my guy. That sure aint bad at all! Man, I wanna get into casting so bad, but just cant pull the trigger. My dog gets curious whenever im out in the garage...
Its a passion of mine. I cant get enough. Im Casting tomorrow! Just got a good batch if lead today! I suggest that you start looking for lead NOW. TIRE SHOPS SCRAP YARDS...
I hope that red dot is up to the task... didn't like how it was not adjusting properly at all. That rifle is a keeper!!! Dang good groups for a red dot. Take care
At first, It was going up with windage... Then shifted. But we fired off all my loads about 100 and it was solid zero move or shift. I was worried a bit too.. Unsure what happened... Seems ta be fine now.
I’m hoping they will do that in a 24” rifle with octagonal barrel, they do the 44 magnum in 24” barrel but really a 44 Magnum is already a maximum velocity in a 20” barrel. Also the old screw in mag tube with a tube loading option
I like that red dot on there it actually looks really good considering it's on a lever action. Must improve the accuracy a great deal. I have a R92 in 44 mag I may just do the same
I have a new video I updated that. Dot to a green dot same mate manufacturer I like it even better. Yes it works really well. Glad you enjoyed the video. I think you'd enjoy a red dot on there.!!
@@jeffstanfield5070 Every barrel can lead... Having said that, I have shot plain base Cast Powder Coated past 2000 fps with zero bullet related fouling. With Cast bullets FIT IS KING. Too small and its gonna lead. Sometimes too soft leads sometimes too hard can lead. Powder Coat does NOT replace need for a Gas Check. BUT... I does absolutely raise the velocity and pressure threshold where a GC is warranted. I would go so far as to say, any regular handgun, shooting a hand gun Cartritage, will not require a GC is properly Powder Coated. Knowing MOST handgun Cartritages are UNDER 35K in pressure.
How is the Rossi brand working for you? I'm watching videos to check quality. Some love em', some have issues with em'. The percentage isn't leaning toward the no issues side. It's about 50/50 right. I was hoping for better because i really want one.
I like tritium front sites. Have t seen them for the Rossi. Im wanting there med lg loop ta come in. Dont want the large but lil larger med seems perfect!
Hello my friend!! Been thinking about you lately hoping all was well!! Yea allot like a 44 just a bit heavier. In a hand gun its alot more. In this carbine completely manageable but slight more. Yesterday I got ta shoot SxS. The 44 was solid 8\9# with that big 6-24x scope & the 454
Nice rifle! I put a Marbles Bullseye on my 45 colt and I love it. I really like how easy these 92s single load because I shoot a lot of oddball low velocity stuff with round balls and wadcutters. Do you have the NOE 454-241-RF mold? It's been an awesome bullet for me. My Rossi loves it.
I do not, but sounds like it may be like the Lyman 452423. A bullet Designed for the 45 auto rim but a DANDY in all 45's even working in most ACP's as a heavy! I have a MP 454-423 as well. Lee has a similar one too 452-252.
@@cw2a It's more of a round flat with 2 driving bands and a really wide grease groove. It has very little bearing surface and it works great for me in low velocity loads. It's great if you push it a little too. I cast it as a hollow point and it flattens deer at 1200 fps.
Overall everything shot acceptably I need to do over with better target dots. Those green look great in a scope with magnification. But suk for the red dot. Second set was with 3" blk and MUCH better to see place dot. Before I was kinda guessing...
Nice shooting CW, I`m not a big fan of optics on lever action rifles, but that optic looks pretty good on that rifle. I may have to change my way of thinking.
Morning man!! I have changed it twice. I put a red dot on it and I changed it to a green dot I think it's a Zulas but I do have videos on it if you look through my playlist on the 454 you'll find the video explaining and talking all about the that's on this. It's worked out really good. It's held up really good and I like.
Well on game, it certainly has the power for 200 yard shot. But of course it's bullets are not very aerodynamic so they're gonna slow down really fast. I have the ability to shoot at 200. Maybe I'll get it out there and make a video on it Later this summer. Thanks for watching. I appreciate you.❤️🩹🙏

Very cool. Thanks CW for the video.
Thanks for watching!

A great first time at the range. Hope that reddot proves Tobe as stable as the Guy shooting it.

A little tweaking & youll be right on the money. Looks good. That Lyman load should do well. Lot of fun with the dots. 👍🙏💥🎯

I did yes Mike!! Looking forward to next trip later this week!
Mine gave me a little leading so I ordered some simi jacket bullets to reload. Nice video
