How you manage both of your cats ? Can you give any other tips😓. I also in the same situation. After my family and I decided taking my brother cat (male) , my other three cat, which 2 (female) and 1 (male). But the problem is my own male cat can't stop attacking my brother cat. It's been half 4 months now. 😭😭 The fact my own cat is too small than my brother cat but he is too aggressive whenever seeing him. Sometimes it's confusing, they looks like want to play together but still in aggressive way. "Sorry my bad english"
I have the same problem our new cat is a kitten hes now 7 months thinks its great to chase our older cat it turns into. A dangerous fight often its so upsetting any ideas let me know and vice versa
@@elsablue3646 I have the same problem my kitten is 7 months old and is attacking my cat who is disabled due to being attacked when she lived as a wild cat (Feral) so she had no human interactions until she was injured and rescued by the RSPCA, I got the kitten to help the wild cat see she was safe with humans by watching me patting the kitten and playing with it. Now that worked the wild cat trusts me and allows me to stoke her. Now some months past the kitten is now attacking my wild cat who is now scared of the kitten. I just don't know how to solve this and I am having to separate them. The cat took to the kitten straight away and loved her as if it were her own baby, and love was all she wanted to give the kitten. The kitten was from a litter of 5 and this was where the issues began as they were not fed sufficiently as she has a thing for food and steals the food from the cat.
I have 4 cats and they are all brothers but 2 of them fight really badly I don’t know how to stop them because we have kept them away from each other for so long..

I just got 2 cats today. They were both bought at the same time. The male hisses at the female and then walks away. They haven't fought yet. The female just wants to be friends. But they probably will be fine since it's only been one day.
Same. I actually want a cat but all my sisters hate cats so I can’t have a cat but when i get a few years older I’ll move out and get 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 cats
I loved the video; In my experience (2 adult cats- tolerant to each other for more than 8 years, and introducing foster kittens with them) I would keep a kitten in one room for 2 to 3 days. First day, two adults would hear the kitten, and smell it under the door. Second day (because adults start to express high level of curiosity) I would allow them to see each other, just a glimpse (still separated by a "door frame"). Usually adults would be chilling, laying down in front of the door, relaxed and waiting to meet/sniff the kitten. Third day, I would keep the door open for a while. Just so that adults can look whats going on inside the room, in a relaxed state of mind - because I would be playing with the kitten, so it wouldn't even noticed that two pairs of big eyes are analising it's every move. Point: grown ups need to realise that there is a non threthening intruder, who is playful and not paying attention to them. Kitten after 3 days realises that is being in a safe environment...
I have 2 female cats. The the 4 month old has playfully grabbed my older cat around the throat. She is now 2 1/2 years old. My older cat now is fighting with her unprovoked. She doesn't want her in the house. The mild tempered older cat has turned aggressive. They are both on high alert listening for the other one. I don't know how to keep them from fighting they both have claws
Your cats getting along or not wasn't the point. And you made a public comment, fishing for reactions, don't flip out when you don't get the types you want. That's the internet, kid.
My second cat is very timid so she doesn’t like new arrivals. Luckily, she’s pretty harmless, just puts on a show to protect herself. Hopefully someday she’ll be a bit more accepting.
Thank you for this video. This was quite helpful. Just got 2 new kittens (7months) and my current cat is 13 years. I though I did something wrong, because they were a bit standoff-ish and started to hiss at each other. My older cat left the bedroom early morning and I got very sad, because I love sleeping next to my cat. I really love her a lot.
Christina Silva Yeah they do... cats actually know if you’re giving more affection/attention to the other cat Cats are actually very jealous creatures So it’s normal if both your cats are growling and hissing at each other But they’ll get used to each other in a few weeks/months.
Christina Silva How did you go about doing this? I’ve had a new cat for about two weeks now. Tried having them in the same room today for the first time and they both hissed and swatted. 😭
Sakura Blues lots of patience and watching them all the time 😂 I used a spray bottle sometimes because my first cat would start drama. Feeding them together, giving them treats, new toys, and playing with them together helps a lot of course. I let them both be on the bed with me and they come when they please, they adjust naturally over time 😊
The best way to integrate two cats is by getting them when they are kittens. The adult cats do not accept "intruders" easily.Even then, get a pet gate and separate the two.Feed them in front of each other, let them get familiar with each other's scent.Play with them to ease up the tension.Reward them with treats when they behave nicely.

We just rescued a wild cat. She is a beautiful Calico cat, and we just brought her home last night. Today, I wanted to introduce her to my other cat, a 4 year old cat. My new cat was the one who was hissing at my old cat, and my old cat was just trying to be friendly and say hello. My old cat is extremely shy and she has anxiety. She flinches at everything. The new cat is a bit more open and social, so I was surprised my old cat didn't run away right after hearing the new cat hiss. Lmao I felt so bad
There are 2 young stray cats in my neighborhood. I noticed that these two for some reason really like each other. They often move together, they play together, cuddle together, eat together without any conflicts. They are also incredibly friendly towards all humans.
At the winery I work at there are 5 cats I normally see and 2 of them are the best of friends. Almost everytime I pass the recycle area I see them hanging out being buddies. One time their feeder said the fluffy one was missing and the whole week he was gone the shorthair was just waiting right at the recycle center for him to come back. The fluffy ones back now I just seen them earlier today napping lol

I adopted two stray kittens (Ginger) Age- 6-7 weeks Breed: Tabby Bought: 1 week before Cookie (Cookie) Age: 2-3 weeks Breed: Tabby Patch Bought: 3 days after Ginger was bought So it started from the first day, i thought they were fighting, so i always separated them. But for 4 days it started to go on and on the 4th day i literally gave up. But that same night i saw Cookie going to Ginger, so i thought "ofc they are fighting", but no i didnt hewr a sound from them, so i decided to go and check, so i peaked from the corner to check, and to my surprise they weren't fighting, and Cookie was eating her food and Ginger was just sitting and roaming, but after i went near them Ginger jumped onto Cookie to fight, So i got out of there, and after 15 mins i checked again and they were silently sitting next to each other, so i thought "hmm... I think they are pretending to be enemies but they actually love each other". And i think they have improved their bond. And it also reminded me of Tom And Jerry's line It said "Tom never hated Jerry, He loved him, but he had to pretend to be enemies so that his owner shouldn't kick him out and bring a deadly cat which will kill Jerry" Thanks For Reading My Comment
We have a cat sanctuary with 35’ish. We have a room for a few that are very afraid of everything. The most aggressive one is sent to our one other location. This has worked for years. But we just got a wonderful 2 yr old boy, keeping him in our “domestication room” for a week, then got him neutered. After recovering from surgery, we started introducing him to the rest. He slowly walked the whole five room sanctuary, then stopped to play with a catnip toy. After a few minutes, he attacked a 5 month old kitten that was watching him closely. Not just a swipe, but a full on hair flying rolling fight which lasted maybe two seconds. The kitten got away before I reached them. I immediately tried calming the new cat, then let him alone and he walked 20 foot away and attacked an eight month old kitten in the same way, and that kitten got away within two seconds also. I calmed the new cat and was able to carry him back into the domestication room where he’s been for the last two days, while I try to figure out the best path for this boy. HELP PLEASE

I used to have two cats but sadly in September we discovered my one cat, Kitty had a tumour so we had to get her put down. Ever since then my other cat, Clover has been very hyper and needy, especially at night. So I plan on getting him a friend! He’s really friendly and has been around other cats ever since we’ve had him so I don’t think he’ll ever hiss or scratch at the new cat, but I really want to make sure they become best buds! Thanks for the video, these tips will be very helpful for when the time comes 😄
My cats have known each other all their life, brother and sister, and they used to get along very well, and played together. But as they grew up, they both seem to dislike each other and hiss whenever they pass each other.
I have a situation where I brought a year old male cat after my other male cat passed and now he’s being aggressive to my older female cat. Chasing her and causing her to hide. I genuinely cannot tell if he’s being aggressive or if he’s still young and is just too energetic for my older girl. I have decided to separate them and slowly reintroduce them after I wear out the younger one a lot. I just feel bad for my other cat always hiding
Small tip to add on about the two room policy. I’ve never thought of it as a “two room” policy but effectively do the same thing, slightly altered, and I think it adds to the advice in the video. When first introducing the new cat, rather than designate a room for the new cat, opt to keep any resident cat(s) temporarily shut into a room they are comfortable being in (eg living room), let the new cat out, let it explore as much or as little as it wants so it can learn about its surroundings and the resident cats before meeting, and spreads the new cat’s scent for the resident cat(s) to pick up, again ahead of meeting. The next part I like to do is let the new cat decide for itself where it wants to hide out. Unless you’ve got yourself a flawlessly socialised new kitty, it’s going to be on edge and full of doubt, so it will almost definitely want to refuge somewhere, it follows logically that if that place of refuge _can_ be somewhere the new cat chooses for itself, that will avoid unnecessarily making it less trustworthy. Being confined to a room even part time for the first week still limits the cats perceived freedom, especially if kept confined to a single room overnight every night for a week, remember cats are basically nocturnal, they are more adventurous and explorative at night than during the day thanks to their extraordinary night vision. If you want to keep new and resident cats apart overnight until they are acquainted, try closing doors to split the house in half, keeping each cat in either half of the house. This doesn’t restrict exploration as harshly as a single room would, regardless of how little time it’s for. As a general rule, you should never, EVER shut a door to a room knowing a cat/dog is inside, not for an hour, not for 5 minutes
We have 2 cats. But, 1 of them is an outdoors cat and the other 1 is an indoor cat. They fight through the patio door and hiss at each other, try to claw each other, and meow LIKE CRAZY. If you try to pick 1 of them up to take her to a room or something, she will start attacking you instead. We found that using a BROOM to push them away WORKS REALLY REALLY GOOD.
Do they attack each other more when they don't have enough food / water / clean litter? might have to get another litterbox, maybe make sure there aren't areas in your house like hallways where one can feel trapped (add shelves on walls so there is always escape routes, more than one route). Cats mostly only fight when they can't run away. If 1 cat attacks the other one all the time, you have to raise the confidence level of the cat that acts like a pray, try to make him more cozy spots in the house that are elevated where he can run too instead of hidding in corners, etc. My cat from hell is a great show to help understand this all and the importance of catification And for steph and everyone else, make sure you HAVE PLAY TIME with the cats, particularly with the one that is causing problems. you have to find a way to tire the kitten so he doesnt bully the older / disabled cat
got a kinda older cat, the friendliest cat ever, gets along with dogs (5 little dogs at that) but recently got a baby kitten maybe 3 weeks old and he hisses at her
I had two females (castrated) living in our big house with access to outdoors and big yarden... they lived together for 6 years and still didnt accept eachother. The non-dominant girl was so stressed and peed in the whole housez we had to give her a new home (she’s happy there now). Just wanted to share this experience.. that not all females will accept each other - if we’d known this we might not have gotten a second cat..
Mellonia Mellani You did the right thing by trying. They deserve a loving home. They just didn't work. It's not reasonable to expect other animals to all get along, just as humans don't. Humans are animals, and no more special than any other creature.
I've had more issues with female cats, even spayed, than with neutered males. All my males seem to get along fairly well. The females either attacked the other cat (when larger) or performed anti-social behavior.
I just got another two cats because I thought my original cat would be lonley (she’s an indoor cat) and they keep hissing at each other. If they don’t end up getting along I’m gonna have to give them away :(
Jessica That was a bad idea to just bring 2 more cats in the house like that. Imagine if 2 humans just turned up in your home. You'd hate it. I don't know why people don't understand other animals think like we do. If they can't get along, make sure they go to loving homes. They all deserve a happy life. And if they're siblings or friends, and knew each other before you adopted them, make sure they stay together. Splitting families up is disgusting. Don't give them to a shelter, they will end up being split up, and not having a good time. They deserve lives full of joy and happiness and contentment, not spending so much time in misery and fear. Other animals shouldn't be bought and sold. You can't own another living thing. They're not consumer goods. They're not property. They're not toys for your amusement, or tools for you to use as you please. We're not their owners, we're their carers. Pet isn't an insult. That's horrible. A pet is an animal of another species, in your family, that you care for. Species is irrelevant to family. Humans are animals, and no more special than any other creature.
Ben Tarr of course, I think we all agree on making the best lives possible for our cats and animals, and that they are not toys for amusement! But I’m sure Jessica got more cats in all best wishes for her old cat, as company, and didn’t know they where not going to get along..
This is useful info. We brought a kitten into our house with an adult cat a couple of weeks ago. It is a process. The kitten is incredibly active, which irritates the adult cat at times, but they’re learning to play and chase each other. They’ll only hiss if they want to be left alone, get surprised, and occasionally when trying to get nose to nose. Still working out resources since the kitten wants everything it sees although she has her own and getting them to calm down when they’re in the same room. Again - it is a process. Cats are territorial predators. Give each cat their own space and let them act like cats (as long as they aren’t trying to kill each other, let them figure each other out).
Both of my two cats were originally strays, that we took in. Both of them are socialize, but not chipped, so we think maybe someone abandoned them. We've had them for about two years but they never really too close to each other. If Harriet gets too close to Ozzie, he'll hiss at her and maybe even swat at her. I think Harriet wants to be friends but Ozzie is still on edge. We have a big open house so this isn't a problem but I just wish I can come downstairs and see them grooming each other or something. I know both of them have their traumas but I'm still hoping that one day I'll see some love.
Six years I’ve been in your situation the two cats tolerate each other though there is no love as we humans call it. They don’t groom each other, that’s down to my 14 year old he’s never liked being picked up or petted more that his head ears chin. We have trouble getting him into the carrier to go to vets. Once a year, the six year old cat is very placid though because my other cat doesn’t like to be picked up she has copied his wa6s I can pick her up and carry her from a to b, then off she goes, not lap sitting since she was 13 weeks old and she wanted to go downstairs and see they other cat not just through the door she decided she’s going 8n the room the slowly walked to each other bopped noses and all was well, till kitten started to look around the living room the older cat just hissed at her every time she walked near him. They live this way, never drawn blood though have a bundle every day after dinner just chasing and wrestling, the two of them will sleep on my bed though miles apart. Some times if big one is on the bed first little one won’t come on to it. They have their own way of living with each other that’s strange to me not to them, both were given me or they would of been put in shelter, one full black was given as a 12 week old kitten out of 9 litter she didn’t get fostered so I kept her she’s got such a sweet protective nature, both are scardy cats when the door knocks they run to outside or go hide, both are beautiful cats just the eldest has special needs after he had a terrible accident with a road sweeping machine. When he was seven months, they were going to put him down so I took him and fourteen and a half years later I’m so glad I did. Give all cats a chance they will live together if not next to each other.😻😸😻😽🐈⬛
I have two cats. I adopted them at the same time. They got along so well for one whole year. Very affectionate about each other. Suddenly a few months ago, my male cat started attacking my female cat. He hates her so much , attacks her whenever she gets into his sight. My female cat has a habit of hanging outside for a while. Maybe that would have been a reason? What I can do to make my cats get along.
@@karthikvelan6108 Hi Karthik, you should rather take the girl to a vet, may well be that she is the sick one. Often dominant cats do tend to attack sick cats to push them away from their group, to keep the rest of the group (family) healthy. I'd do a blood test on both of them. Another reason could be that your female cat has male friends on the outside and comes back in with their smell. If your male cat doesn't like that smell that could be a reason for attack. I would get a blood test for both and try syntetic feromones.
I got a new cat, my experience. The kitten stay in the bedroom for 3 weeks while my cat stayed in a hall( used same bowl and litter, make sure i clean litter very often). Since May we had a cat coming around the house. At first he was very shy and skittish, but eventually we were able to get him socialized to the point where he would come to us and let us pet him. Last Sunday we trapped him, took him to a local clinic, had him neutered and vaccinated. After an overnight at the clinic, we brought him home, but kept him isolated in one room for a few days. Finally we decided to give him the run of the house to see what happens. We have four resident cats, 3 males and one female. All cats got along famously from the moment they were introduced with no hostility at all. Our youngest cat, a male, plays with the newcomer quite a bit. They tussel and chase each other around the house. They had been rubbing noses and paws through the screen door for a couple months before we caught the stray. The vet estimated the stray to be about a year old. It's a gray and white Tabby. He was covered with fleas and ticks but I took care of that before we took him to the vet. He's clean of all pests now. It's amazing to me how well they all get along. There has never been any problems. Before he came into the house the resident cats would look at him at the back door but never showed any aggression. I don't know how it happened, but that's the story. The outdoor kitty has been indoors for 6 days and seems to be adapting very well.
@@dailybread7687 Thanks for the reply. He's doing great: Warm, well fed, safe, comfortable and loved. :-) We named him Baxter. He loves sleeping in front of the wood stove where it's nice and warm. That must be better than the wood shed or behind the gas tanks against the house where he used to stay most of the time. He often wandered away and would be gone for days, even a week or more, and we were afraid we'd lost him, but he always came back. Now he's home for good.

So the first time my two male cats ever met they fought. We were not expecting the resident cat to suddenly enter the house (he used to go out). That was the first bad fight. Its been 5 months, things have kind of improved but they still don't get along. It's really hard to live like this where we always have to worry about the cats facing each other and starting a fight. What are your recommendations on Feliway?
My cats are sisters of the same litter and while they don't hate each other and don't fight a lot, they also don't love each other. They almost never lie down at the same spot, they don't even walk by each other very often. It's like they try to avoid each other and they're way calmer if they know, the other cat is outside or just far away.
I introduced a kitten in my house, the OG is also a kitten but slightly older. Here is my situation: New kitten: Hey lets pla.. OG: Hisses and pushes it away. A little frustrating since the newbie doesn't have someone to play with...
I have 2 cats (brought into the home at the same time) they used to coexist but for some reason my female cat hisses and sprays in a defensive like stance whenever the male cat gets near. Im not around the house 24/7 but sometimes i caught the male cat getting very aggresive in their “playfights” so maybe shes traumatized from it. I wonder if their relationship can ever mend like it used to be because they were so loving but now she growls whenever hes in a 5 ft radius of her. Any tips?
i would try using feliway to help with the spraying. it’s so simple but it’s really worked for me. you could also try giving them time apart and reintroducing them. check out Jackson Galaxy’s videos! they’ve been really helpful for me
i feel lucky, my sister got a new kitten today and my cat (who is now three) seems to be very welcoming, there have been a few instances so far were he bit the kitten to hard. i carefully removed them from each other. but my fur baby was raised since a kitten in this house with a husky. he never really learned, or forgot the lessons taught from kittenhood of what play biting is haha. but, all seems very good only a few hours in. caught my cat giving the kitten a bath, i really didn't expect that.
I’ve saved (4) cats to date. Most fulfilling thing I’ve have ever done. I think I’m getting the better of the deal....!❤️ Remember...the only thing better than a cat is 10 cats....!🎈

My second cat is very timid so she doesn’t like new arrivals. Luckily, she’s pretty harmless, just puts on a show to protect herself. Hopefully someday she’ll be a bit more accepting.
well, did she become more friendly? it's been like two years
Thank you for this video.
Do cats get jealous? I brought my new cat home yesterday. Lots of growling and hissing from both.
Christina Silva
Yeah they do... cats actually know if you’re giving more affection/attention to the other cat
Cats are actually very jealous creatures
So it’s normal if both your cats are growling and hissing at each other
But they’ll get used to each other in a few weeks/months.
Update: it’s been 3 months and they are so much better. They aren’t bffs yet... but they definitely have improved and tolerate each other
Christina Silva
Well that’s good😊❤️
Christina Silva How did you go about doing this?

I adopted two stray kittens
(Ginger)
Age- 6-7 weeks
Breed: Tabby
Bought: 1 week before Cookie
(Cookie)
Age: 2-3 weeks
Breed: Tabby Patch
Bought: 3 days after Ginger was bought
So it started from the first day, i thought they were fighting, so i always separated them. But for 4 days it started to go on and on the 4th day i literally gave up. But that same night i saw Cookie going to Ginger, so i thought "ofc they are fighting", but no i didnt hewr a sound from them, so i decided to go and check, so i peaked from the corner to check, and to my surprise they weren't fighting, and Cookie was eating her food and Ginger was just sitting and roaming, but after i went near them Ginger jumped onto Cookie to fight,
So i got out of there, and after 15 mins i checked again and they were silently sitting next to each other, so i thought "hmm... I think they are pretending to be enemies but they actually love each other". And i think they have improved their bond.
And it also reminded me of Tom And Jerry's line
It said "Tom never hated Jerry, He loved him, but he had to pretend to be enemies so that his owner shouldn't kick him out and bring a deadly cat which will kill Jerry"

Maybe its bc they witness u only petting one cat at a time instead of the other so they feel like they have to fight for your affection?
you need to let them handle their relationship. messing too much with it will make either one or both react
HELP PLEASE

My family have several cats and they all get on well 95% of the time. There's a mixture of male and female
We found that using a BROOM to push them away WORKS REALLY REALLY GOOD.
good, advice.
bad, comma
I might have the same problem with Susie on Tuesday;that's when I got a new cat
Do they attack each other more when they don't have enough food / water / clean litter? might have to get another litterbox, maybe make sure there aren't areas in your house like hallways where one can feel trapped (add shelves on walls so there is always escape routes, more than one route). Cats mostly only fight when they can't run away.
If 1 cat attacks the other one all the time, you have to raise the confidence level of the cat that acts like a pray, try to make him more cozy spots in the house that are elevated where he can run too instead of hidding in corners, etc. My cat from hell is a great show to help understand this all and the importance of catification
And for steph and everyone else, make sure you HAVE PLAY TIME with the cats, particularly with the one that is causing problems. you have to find a way to tire the kitten so he doesnt bully the older / disabled cat
You should have 1 litter tray per cat, plus one more. If you have 2 cats, you should have 3 trays. Hope this helps!
got a kinda older cat, the friendliest cat ever, gets along with dogs (5 little dogs at that) but recently got a baby kitten maybe 3 weeks old and he hisses at her
I had two females (castrated) living in our big house with access to outdoors and big yarden... they lived together for 6 years and still didnt accept eachother.
Give all cats a chance they will live together if not next to each other.😻😸😻😽🐈⬛
one day theyre relaxed another day the resident cat is constantly chasing and attacking the new cat
Maybe he’s sick?
@@edinapaljevic8865 I see. I’ll take Him to the vet to check
One day i just let them meet supervision and broke up possible attack and rough playing. Before i knew it male cat is glooming kitten.
I feel bad so I had to watch this. About a year ago we adopted 2 cats from a relative so they didn’t end up going to a animal shelter. They moved in, now our old cat is isolated to just mostly upstairs because she’s feral.., I was hoping to see a possible fix way.
My cat is two years old, got another cat, both female. They growl at each other, day by day, they will sit across each other and sleep.

I have had my cat since she was 5 months old. She is going to be 15 years old this September 2020. A friends cat gave birth to 4 kittens and after they started walking We decided to get one to keep my cat company or give her a friend. In 15 years I have never seen or heard my cat hiss. Now she growls like a dog and hisses like crazy ....god dam it....helpppppp
I have an old cat. We just got a new one recently. They old one hates the new one but the new one just wants to be friends
This how my kittens went
New kitten (Male): Hmm seems like a good home they love me.... Wait who are you.
Og kitten (female): hey there
New kitten (male): get away *hisses* *growls*
Quite the opposite of everyone else my og kitten wants to play but new kitten doesn't like her does.
You are living my dream...... Awwwww someday maybe.
Recently rescued a new cat. She growls and hisses ALL THE TIME at my two OG cats. My male has started to stalk/prey new cat and has not began attacking and chasing her... it’s only been 1 1/2 weeks... I feel like we are taking 2 steps forwards and 3 steps backwards everyday 😩
Im with you! Same here but with two females
I just got a new cat today and the cat is two months and this is what’s happening:
New cat: I don’t want to hurt you
Other cat: *hisses at the cat when it gets close*
So the first time my two male cats ever met they fought. We were not expecting the resident cat to suddenly enter the house (he used to go out). That was the first bad fight. Its been 5 months, things have kind of improved but they still don't get along. It's really hard to live like this where we always have to worry about the cats facing each other and starting a fight. What are your recommendations on Feliway?
I’ve used it, it does work.
Here is my situation:
New kitten: Hey lets pla..
OG: Hisses and pushes it away.
A little frustrating since the newbie doesn't have someone to play with...
my situation:
og cat: hissing
new cat: nicer but also hissing
I have 2 cats (brought into the home at the same time) they used to coexist but for some reason my female cat hisses and sprays in a defensive like stance whenever the male cat gets near. Im not around the house 24/7 but sometimes i caught the male cat getting very aggresive in their “playfights” so maybe shes traumatized from it. I wonder if their relationship can ever mend like it used to be because they were so loving but now she growls whenever hes in a 5 ft radius of her. Any tips?
i would try using feliway to help with the spraying. it’s so simple but it’s really worked for me. you could also try giving them time apart and reintroducing them. check out Jackson Galaxy’s videos! they’ve been really helpful for me
Trying to relax my cat to the new kitten she's so huffy.
The amount of positive reinforcement cats need.....
Even my spouse doesn't need :P
i feel lucky, my sister got a new kitten today and my cat (who is now three) seems to be very welcoming, there have been a few instances so far were he bit the kitten to hard. i carefully removed them from each other. but my fur baby was raised since a kitten in this house with a husky. he never really learned, or forgot the lessons taught from kittenhood of what play biting is haha. but, all seems very good only a few hours in. caught my cat giving the kitten a bath, i really didn't expect that.
What would happen if you covered both cats in catnip just before putting them together?
TiagoTiago they’d get high
But what about when the effect starts wearing off, and afterwards?
TiagoTiago brain damage lol
...
Well my cats are normally nice to each other but when I give them catnip they kinda fight over the catnip so I don’t think that would work
I got a new 2 year old female cat and my resident cat is scared shitless. He is so scared that he wants to leave his own house lmao.😅
I have two one year olds and we got a new cat that’s 8 months and they just hissed at each other, I need them to get along😪
finally I found this video to stop getting scratched near the eye
When cats are aggressively fighting a squirt bottle breaks it up immediately and safely in my experience
My situation :
Og:old ( young) and grumpy
New :just wants to play with mr fatty
im here cuz my too cats are fighting violently i just got one.
Same
My cat- Baby Girl is hissing at my other cat- Midnight
What to do when my cats want each other DeAd?
I’ve saved (4) cats to date. Most fulfilling thing I’ve have ever done. I think I’m getting the better of the deal....!❤️ Remember...the only thing better than a cat is 10 cats....!🎈
or any other pet at all.
My wife and I just saved a stray that had been coming around the house for about 6 months. We had no problems introducing him to our 4 resident cats.
I literally do almost none of this and my cats are just fine
We have never had any trouble introducing cats to one another in 30+ years of cat ownership.
So lucky 😭
Lucky :( Just brought a new cat home yesterday and they are having a terrible time getting along and are having to separate them.
@@MeowMix517 That's to bad. In almost 40 years of cat ownership we've never had a problem assimilating "new" cats to the residents. They just move in and make themselves at home. Before you know it, they're playing together.
New cat:hi there
OG cat: rawrrrrrrr
What am i comment
The answer is: catnip and lots of it.
One time we had to go on a trip so we left them in a cage together and had people feed them and they were cuddling together when we got back
Im here 11th
I have a baby kitten and an adult cat and the little one only wants to play with the big cat but the big cat hisses which I yell them to be NICE TO EACH OTHER!
Sorry, I don't have the money for a cat psychiatrist.
Thanks for sharing this! This was very helpful information!
