I'm a citiditot and only have had my 8n for 3 years. I marvel at much work my machine does for me year round. I read a lot of the comments about older folks reminiscing about their old tractors. They still work!!! Still can get it done!!!!
My father's Ford and his original plow looked just like that. Old clay that hasn't been plowed before is the hardest to plow. Most of the time you're in 1st gear. The John Deere A had a three bottom plow with 16" plow shares. One of those old trip plows. We took off one plow share so it could plow in fourth gear. Only two furrows at a time but it really moved along.
Spent many hours in the seat of a Ferguson like the one plowing later on in your video. Raked, cultivated, disked, and plowed on a hillly old farm in north central Missouri. Didn't know it then, but those were good years. Live in town now, but own 2 8Ns and a Cub.
Looked like a lot of fun. Was on the edge of my seat wondering if the tractor was going to make it without any problems. Good job. Thanks for sharing the video.
I use to plow with a 5 fural plow behind a old international 5088 also pulled a 12 foot cultivator behind a old john deere D steel wheel and a earlier rubber tired D me and my dad and Grandpa restored

Great video Bill. That was great watching the old iron working.Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
I miss those days. I used to have a Ford 2000 with the 3 cylinder gas engine and pulled double bottom plows similar to yours with it.

it pulled pretty well really
Once you got her heated up from end to end, the oil leaks started to show themselves. Lots of work this winter Bill
Thank you Bill! I totally enjoyed the video
My pleasure!
Nice video. I just picked up a '44 2N, so I was interested in your video to see how your 2N did in the field. Thanks for posting.
I like so much You vids.
I have one 9n in mex.
The nerd battery & modifications to ignición electronic.
Need batery
I’ve been plowing a 4 acre hay field to reseed with a 2 bottom 16 inch ford plow
right on. what’s pulling it?
Awesome, I like your tractor. What is the size of your trailer to haul your tractor because I’m thinking to buy one?
The ground is just about perfect for plowing.you want a bit of moisture in the ground to help it stay together going off the plow blades
im hoping there will be a plow day loaclly for me next year i love plowing its so relaxing
Man I miss going to the plowing matches. Went to North Niagara and Caistor plowing matches for 17 years running.

super nice
The John Deer tractor @35:16 with the 3 plow is really neat, plowing threw the dirt
Thats an AR like the one i have
@@billstmaxx that's cool Bill
How did you determine your tractor is a 2N?
I’m trying to get my 1949 8n going I need the plate that the seat sits on for the lift and it’ll be back in action
@Zion Krew wow I don’t think anyone cares
Would using something like fluid film on the plow blades help with the dirt build up ,or would the fluid not last
no. the dirt even scrapes paint off pretty fast.
Great vid!!! Did you till upyour garden?
Do you still have ur r model John Deere ? Wish there was a plow day in Texas somewhere
Loved the video bill
Hey I have a question, do you think an old Ferguson TO 30 would be able to pull a two furrow?
2 furrow plow for sure, 3 furrow might be a little harder. I have a TEA20 and a 2 furrow is it's max.
I really like all of your vids. Have you ever tried a 1952 8N Ford?
Nice video billstmaxx but can do the old family farm on fs19
When u going to brang our the other tractors and finsh the mairs
check your spelling there
BILLSTMAXX yea sorry I try to youse speak to text and the phone don’t under stand my
Accent
Would you get another tractor. Also do you use your tractor for other things
maybe if I had more storage room.
BILLSTMAXX oh ok
Why don't you pressure clean it so you can get a better look at where the leaks are coming from?
update coming
Why didn’t you bring the AR to the field
wanted to give the 2n a good run
At 25min while plowing it sounds like its running a bit lean
I agree with running lean.
Why did you not Bring the John deer ar
wanted to give the 2n a good run
Hard to tell if too we
A good example of how bad ploughing can spoil the whole plot.
Sorry to say but that's a 9Nnot a 2 n
How can you tell?
Why don't you open up the motor a little bit so it doesn't have to work so hard

only plowing two rows at a time? Holymoly thats a waste of time. Id that all it will pull?
Asking a lot out of that N !
What do you expect from am 80 year old tractor? I will bet she is in better shape than you will be at eighty!
WTF are you talking about. To much chatter on leaks.
Jejeje
Sure the 2035r has more pulling power then thay 2n lmao she's kinda weak
Too much yakking.
