+BohemianDeer Well, film school is not as bad as people said. I think if you in film school and you can get your hand dirty out of arri alexa, red one, etc. I think it is useful. Most of the big production industry won't hire people if they can't operate such cameras.

Please somebody tell me!! How could anyone thumb down this tutorial. Must be jealousy. There isn't any other justification. So, as of this moment there are 58 jealous folks out there that envy you. That has to feel great! Thank you so much for the tutorials. The amount of information I have learned is worth its weight in gold. Your methods are easy to apply and understand.Instead of being told to do this or that, you are teaching people why they should be doing it. That in itself is what separates good from great photographers and cinematographers. Jubal(Cheers)!

You did a masterclass on outdoor lightning in under 7 minutes, wow! All of my shots are outdoors in bright sunlight in shaded canyons and mountains; the ND filter and its use to achieve a wider aperture under such conditions was really helpful for me. Thank you!

Thanks for your effective ways to use reflectors. To me, you're the ONLY UA-camr who shows me to put the sand bags both on the ground and on the light stand feet. That makes the stand more stable. The other people they put the bags on the feet only!

Andyax Hello Andy, I have a question regarding the filter. I own a Sigma 17-50 OS f/2.8 and a Canon 50mm f/1.8. Do I have to choose a filter with the same value as the maximum mm of the lens or? I'm asking that simply because I do not wanna encounter any problems when I'm setting it on my lenses. Thank you so much.

Andyax, I love your videos they are beyond helpful!! You explain things to effortlessly and make lighting look like a breeze. You explained my lighting class in under 10 minutes. People who are thinking about film school, especially Columbia:
You should definitely go to film school if you want to work with expensive gear or real film everyday and someday maybe get a job in the big industries. If you want to do freelance or write/direct your own stuff with buddies or go the festival route, than probably DON'T waste your time in an expensive film school. I go to Columbia in Chicago, and my professors just pull up Every Frame a Painting every time they can't explain something... What am I paying 40k a year for?

I, personally, DON'T want to subscribe ANY channel in a long therm, since I subscribed ALREADY to too much channels - they are getting more and more, professional ones. I got some info from Cinedot for big sun conditions, but love your explanation WAY much more, especially, you mention, that you stuck with shutter speed by the rule (twice the frame rate).
But after I saw an other video about your workshop, which I even neither watched, just saw the first minute, I cannot avoid your channel neither. Now I have a simple wish that I CAN ENTER the next one in the next year. Start collect money for new cam and meet you!
