I feel that telltale would have more success if they released the whole season at once and then added like separate stories that are influenced by the main game as part of the season pass/dlc
Probably not. The way they release games and episodes, it feels like they're always on the edge, not able to keep the business going, if they don't release stuff at the quicker pace you have with an Episodic Release. Plus, extra Story DLC sales WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less than the episodes. I mean, when's the last time you actually spent money on that? I know I haven't ever. Not unless it was part of a Season Pass or "Game of the Year" Edition I got on sale.
Love this take on Batman. Even though we've seen and played Batman for years over and over again, this game has an original spin on it and makes it feel fresh
Telltale games are just overpriced. We have to wait twice as long for a game that is probably only 6-7 hours in total. Each episode is about 1 and a half hours long and you have to wait months in between.
$#*! JusT GoT ReaL I never said $25 for each. They might just be $5. That's how TellTale works, buy each chapter as they come out or buy a season pass.
Yeah, he's Batman in the Telltale-series. He's the Joker i Arkham Origiins. And he's both Two-Face AND Robin (Tim Drake) in Arkham City... The guy is soon the voice of the entire Batman universe all by himself :D ha ha
Just imagine the camera is facing the joker who is talking and he runs across the screen and badly puts on a cowl in a batman voice, says his line, and runs back as the joker.
I'm a huge batman fan and playing this was awesome I don't know if it's just me but having a very in-depth Bruce Wayne story is just as cool as batman's action filled and detective story line. (Yes I do know Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person just in case you were confused) it was also cool to see all the different characters from the comics
This game is good. It’s not that much of a PLAYABLE game but you get to solve mysteries by yourself by linking objects to people and to other objects. You get to link objects to people to plan your attack on falcone. And the story writing is really good. And when you fight you still get to press some buttons. It’s not bad just because it’s not like other games.
Telltale Games are Games I always get when all episodes are out. Usually you get a cheap deal, you can play through everything in one go and the issues are fixed
I'll wait until all the episodes have come out and there's a sale. I am a huge Batman fan (Platinumed all the Arkham games, read Comics weakly) but I just cannot say I'm a fan of Tell Tale's way of releasing games in pieces. It kills the momentum for the story.
i liked it so far, but i would like if they add some more iconic villains such as Scare crow or Bane some riddles from Enigma would be fantastic and of cours no batman game is complete without (the Joker) i would really be disappointed if the joker did not show up in the game
I got the season pass as soon as it became available cause Telltale games have never let me down and the first episode of Batman was awesome, i've been wanting to play a Batman game that puts just as much importance on Bruce Wayne as it does on Batman and the story telling in Telltale games are always the selling point and as someone that thinks story telling is just important if not more important then even the gameplay I was very happy with episode 1.
pc version is working completely fine now, 1080p full screen 60fps. they fixed the game with a day 2 patch. forcing the game to use your actual high powered graphics card, instead of your itegrated card, which was my problem
hey, I just wanted to say that I was subscribed from about 850,000 subs and I knew from the beginning that you were going to get millions of subs in a short amount of time since your videos are very well made and researched, especially since they're daily videos, which I love. I hope you guys get another 2 million. Love all of you, especially falcon
About the frame graphics . This isn't a first person shooter or an action game were anything below 40 fps is just unplayable. I have played the hole 1st and 2nd session of the Walking dead and I'm waiting for the 3th to complete.I have also played the minecraft story mode as well as the Batman and what I have to say is that you can't compare any of the Telltale games with the games that we are used to, like GTA, call of duty, the Witcher and all that stuff. Telltale games are games with good gameplay and very very good story line. They are not trying to make "The most realistic graphics" and for that kind of game I think that it would be unnecessary. Great videos by the way. It's been a while since I subscribed and I like almost all of your videos.
Probably my favourite game review channel at the moment , your consistent and non biased. Thank you it's a refreshing change from most of the shite out there.
I always buy telltale games a month after the last episode. There's no point in waiting every 2 months for a 2 hour glitchy experience when you could play straight through the game from start to finish over a weekend with little to none glitches.
I think I'll wait until all of them are out. First of all, these episodes have a long ass period of time between them, it's not like a got episode where you wait a week. No, you get to wait several weeks if not months. I remember buying the whole season of life is strange and almost forgot what the story was about between the episodes (great game otherwise).
got it on steam, launched using Windows 8+ option, the game crashed after starting the episode .. but when I played it using Windows 7 option, everything was fine, didn't have an issue with fps either. I really liked the game .. the detective part was fun, but it was kinda easy as I'm used to Sherlock Holmes stuff XD.. but overall 10/10 recommended!!!!
Best tip I can give to anyone wondering about ANY of the telltale games Don't buy them on episode 1 - buy them when they are over ! Sure it's cool and all to play a segment of a story that ends in a cliffhanger and you have to wait for 1 to 5 months to get the next segment and next cliffhanger until the story really gets an ending at last episode. The games are all amazing but playing it in small parts is NOT as great as going at it in the end.
I did like it. As a fan of both Telltale and Batman, it was very enjoyable. Though I have to say I really don't think Troy Baker's voice fits Bruce Wayne at all. He's literally in that role only because he's the top dog in the video game voice acting business right now. He fit Rhys in Tales from the Borderlands perfectly but his voice just doesn't match the face of Bruce Wayne.
This is a really promising start to the season. One thing I find kinda dumb is Oswald Cobblepot. He just seemed so out of place but maybe he will grow more as a character in the later episodes.
Regarding Penguin, I like that Telltale are doing their own thing. It keeps things interesting, even for hardcore Batman fans who think they know everything about the characters.
I didn't have problems with the framerate on ps4, some dips but never bothersome. and I loved the first episode. i really like the way they handle batman and Bruce Wayne.
I wanted to like the game and support Telltale this time around, but a major bug before the game even starts (super low resolution, or attempt to use a higher resolution, but have the mouse stuck in an invisible box at the upper left) is just BS. Got my refund, and I'll just wait for all the episodes to be released at a discounted price.
the clue linking reminds me of the clues you piece together in ace attourneys detectices/investigations where edward(you) piece clues together like puzzle pieces
As a fan of Batman, and as a fan of many of the episodic Telltale games (walking dead, wolf among us), I was not happy with this game, honestly I'm going to be cautious about buying ep. 2 and watch reviews first. One example: At one point I decided to NOT hurt a bad guy and interrogate him with fear alone. When I got back to the batcave, the game punished me by having Alfred lecture me about "putting him in a hospital" and basically beating the tar out of him and "becoming a monster". I was so pissed because the whole point of decision games is to make decisions and play out the results. However because of this obvious design error I was punished for "going too far" despite never having laid a hand on the guy.
How could you think that the voice modulator he used sounds dumb? It makes him sound badass, especially if you're going for a more hardcore Batman. I was disappointed that there weren't more moments where I could talk to or interrogate people just because I wanted to hear him threaten people with that voice
I think it's great. I simply can't get enough batman. That frame rate though... we're in 2016 right? And telltale has made several games, right? It's time to get up to speed. Hopefully future episodes and/or updates will fix this issue.
i started playing it on pc for my channel and the frame rate was absolute shit in some places but overall the 1st chapter as a whole was pretty good its a great setup for a very different potentially good batman game as a whole and im pretty exited to see where this game goes in the future
It's too late gameranx. Already bought the game for my PC, and already liked the 1st episode. but i'm gonna watch this video anyway just keep up the good work.
I love it and I love it's potential. I feel that when we get to see characters like the joker show up this game will shine like the walking dead has. I can't wait for more.
I quite like this new Batman game tbh, it's very innovative compared to others like Game of Thrones or Tales from the Borderlands, I only liked Game of Thrones because I'm a huge GoT fan and Tales from the Borderlands had funny characters and a nice story but both just didn't bring anything new to the table compared to Batman, also I like where this is going and this might actually be up there with The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us after it ends
when you buy the physical copy why do we have to wait for all the episodes this is why I didn't bother with hit man it's the whole waiting thing had it not been batman it wouldn't be worth waiting for.
I really have to thank you for making this video, I haven't been sure about this game, and seeing this video helps me make a decision on if I should buy this.
I enjoy watching gameranx videos, but sometimes I think how can I have any doubts on a game like this. Isn't every game from Tell Tale just awesome? Though their time plan on releasing chapters always has me forgetting what happened previously. That's the only -1 point I have on them.
I feel that telltale would have more success if they released the whole season at once and then added like separate stories that are influenced by the main game as part of the season pass/dlc
no, just release all the fucking content at once and maybe a DLC a few years later to make the game relevant again.
***** that's what I said. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear
Trey Seetaram oh ok, maybe i just read it wrong
Probably not. The way they release games and episodes, it feels like they're always on the edge, not able to keep the business going, if they don't release stuff at the quicker pace you have with an Episodic Release.
Plus, extra Story DLC sales WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less than the episodes. I mean, when's the last time you actually spent money on that? I know I haven't ever. Not unless it was part of a Season Pass or "Game of the Year" Edition I got on sale.
if anything release them weekly that way people still have that anticipation like a TV show
hey gameranx you guys have really helped me spend my money more intelligently on games THANKS
NO PROB!
you're welcome
+gameranx You doing Before You Buy on No Man's Sky before it comes out on PC?
Navon Myhand Hoping he does because I want to pre order it for the bonus but I don't want to waste my time getting a refund because it's a bad game.

bait?
N-no, dude, he's Spiderman, dumbass.
Tf??? Bruce is a businessman don't mess it up
No you idiot, the gameplay is like tales from the borderlands, where you play as two completely different people
is there a dialogue option that says IM BATMAN...?
That MUST be a thing in EVERY dialogue choice
Khalid Alamin yes there is in one specific part
Khalid Alamin As of the second season, yes.
Khalid Alamin yes.
😂❤️❤️
Troy Baker: The only guy who can do both Batman and Joker wonderfully

Blitzball Ace he does joel from the last of us as well

He also voiced Rys from tales from the boderlands.
He was Batman in the Lego Batman games, too.
0:16 that was the best voice crack of all time
at AAAaaaAAAaaaaAAAAaaall reeaaallyy
Love this take on Batman. Even though we've seen and played Batman for years over and over again, this game has an original spin on it and makes it feel fresh
Your life must be really sad if you dislike a video before even watching the whole thing.
That's what I think too. It's even sadder when you know the people who are doing that.
+Butmen Teh Derp Night Rizes vice versa
Bots.
+ArchieGamez L
I liked it before watching
This is my favorite incarnation of Batman in a game to date! Absolutely love it!
The way you said "at all" at 00:16 really made me laugh
"Choices really matter" huh..haven't done that for a while.
Telltale games are just overpriced. We have to wait twice as long for a game that is probably only 6-7 hours in total. Each episode is about 1 and a half hours long and you have to wait months in between.
Overpriced? Dude the whole damn thing was 26.99
+Chris Allen No, the first chapter was $25. You have to buy each chapter as they come out.
Are you crazy? $25 for each chapter? The whole thing costs $25. For now you got only the first chapter but the rest become available later on.
+Duncapunca you're so dumb it's 25 for all 5
$#*! JusT GoT ReaL I never said $25 for each. They might just be $5. That's how TellTale works, buy each chapter as they come out or buy a season pass.
I like how Troy Baker gets praise for voice acting as Batman and voice acting as Joker XD
Yeah, he's Batman in the Telltale-series.
He's the Joker i Arkham Origiins.
And he's both Two-Face AND Robin (Tim Drake) in Arkham City... The guy is soon the voice of the entire Batman universe all by himself :D ha ha
It would be god like if he also voices the joker in later episodes, so it will be him talking to himself.
+LordIncest idk if he'll be in this because he's in every Batman story and he's sorta over used. I want him in though!
Just imagine the camera is facing the joker who is talking and he runs across the screen and badly puts on a cowl in a batman voice, says his line, and runs back as the joker.
i have both telltale batman games on 2 different systems, i love the games
Batman - The QTE KNIGHT
I freaking LOVED this episode. I didn't feel the frame rate issues as much. But I love where this story is going and the choices are badass.
Jake do a spoiler talk on your channel.
Hmm. Maybe
+gameranx no, not maybe. Now. And i mean right now.
+gameranx a spoiler talk would be cool, like to see your view on some games
Like an After You Buy?
Press f to pay your respects for TT games…
If gameranx replies I'll cosplay as Jake.
Pics or it didn't happen
lol
if you respond to this I'll smash an egg on my head. not just any egg, an organic egg.
I'll even record it mate. 😗 It was a good vid it is a little sttutery but that could be that it was uploaded too recent.
they didn't
I never really liked Batman but this game made me like him! I also like how you could chose a color for your bat gear
QTE gameplay game Ep.-1 for $25, whats next? $5 for opening credits.huh?
is $25 for the Ep. 1 and the season pass
It's 25$ for all the episodes this being the first and it's more about the story
$25 for all 6 episodes.
$5 for Episode 1 by itself.
the $25 is for all the episodes combined. An episode by itself costs $5
its 25 for the whole thing. all 5 episodes
"Before you buy" DON'T
Do
Ass cheeks !
it is sooo buggy ! i tried 2 hours for making it work properly
@@bugrayucel5944 the version without color is without bugs
This game is good. It’s not that much of a PLAYABLE game but you get to solve mysteries by yourself by linking objects to people and to other objects. More like before i illegally download it
another wonderful B.Y.B thanks for keeping us in the loop gameranx
Thanks for mentioning the voice actor for Falcone. I recognized the voice but couldn't put my finger on from where
You say he seem kinda naive but that makes sense in terms that the falconne family is still in Gotham. Sorry if falconne isn't spelled right.
Telltale Games are Games I always get when all episodes are out. Usually you get a cheap deal, you can play through everything in one go and the issues are fixed

piecing things together in detective mode was done in Arkham Origins first.
hey, I just wanted to say that I was subscribed from about 850,000 subs and I knew from the beginning that you were going to get millions of subs in a short amount of time since your videos are very well made and researched, especially since they're daily videos, which I love. If I purchase the "Telltale Batman Bundle", do I get all of the episodes with it? Or do I still have to purchase each episode individually?
you get them all
it says "bundle" so you'll definitely get all of them
About the frame graphics . This isn't a first person shooter or an action game were anything below 40 fps is just unplayable. It's not sluggish on PS4, had zero issues, the Batman voice might be my favorite it's perfect.
this is the best outro I've ever seen on youtube
Probably my favourite game review channel at the moment , your consistent and non biased. Thank you it's a refreshing change from most of the shite out there.
Back in the good ol' days
2016
I always buy telltale games a month after the last episode. There's no point in waiting every 2 months for a 2 hour glitchy experience when you could play straight through the game from start to finish over a weekend with little to none glitches.

I miss these games
I have never played / watched / read anything about batman but the game looks cool in the background.
got it on steam, launched using Windows 8+ option, the game crashed after starting the episode .. but when I played it using Windows 7 option, everything was fine, didn't have an issue with fps either.
I really liked the game .. the detective part was fun, but it was kinda easy as I'm used to Sherlock Holmes stuff XD.. but overall 10/10 recommended!!!!
Best tip I can give to anyone wondering about ANY of the telltale games
Don't buy them on episode 1 - buy them when they are over !
Sure it's cool and all to play a segment of a story that ends in a cliffhanger and you have to wait for 1 to 5 months to get the next segment and next cliffhanger until the story really gets an ending at last episode.

+David Marshall They're definitely going for more of a Hush route by making him Bruce's childhood friend.
MonsterGames063 Yeah, agreed.
Congrats on 2.5 ! (: Been here since 350,000 ! xD
Congrats To the 3 of you
Spidey
Jake
The other cool guy
The voice modulator in this game sounds better than the one in Batman v Superman.
I think game is a big improvement from the other telltale game and I'm looking forward to replay the chapter as a brutal batman
is it bad that i look forward to Gameranx's uploads and its one of the highlights of my day, not my only highlight but its nice?
The PC version works fine for me, except little freezes whenever there is a cut in longer cutscenes.
Hey, not connected to the video but I you're interested, Warner Brothers confirmed Man of Steel 2 a couple of hours ago.
that epic voice break at the end
I kinda like what they're going for here. A more story based Batman game that still has cool fight scenes. It's no Arkham game, but still.
As a fan of Batman, and as a fan of many of the episodic Telltale games (walking dead, wolf among us), I was not happy with this game, honestly I'm going to be cautious about buying ep. 2 and watch reviews first. One example:

I love Batman definitely going to try this out
I really liked it, but I hope we get a little bit more of Batman, the amount of Bruce Wayne was good, but not enough of Batman himself
You should point out how many people are having black screen and extreme lagging issue on PC version.
Thought this was a refreshing take on the dark knight/Bruce Wayne from the open world Arkham games, loved them, but glad to see something new
Troy Baker = great Bruce Wayne tolerable batman
I'd say wait till there're at least 4 episodes out. Less than 2 hours isn't worth the asking price, it's ridiculous.
I have it on PS3 and omfg the lag sometimes it freezes
i started playing it on pc for my channel and the frame rate was absolute shit in some places but overall the 1st chapter as a whole was pretty good its a great setup for a very different potentially good batman game as a whole and im pretty exited to see where this game goes in the future
I honestly love this series so far can't wait for episode 2 and I hope we get a season 2
Still thinking about buying in 2017? I think its worth every penny
ShadowRelic Did you get it yet? If not, and you're on PS4, wait until January 5th, cause it's coming for free for PS Plus members.
one of my favorite channels..look forward to all your content
It's too late gameranx. Already bought the game for my PC, and already liked the 1st episode.
but i'm gonna watch this video anyway just keep up the good work.
you gotta remember that this game takes place at like 2 years into batmans career
How does Batman switching on a different voice whenever he's attacking criminals sound stupid? It makes him both more mysterious and threatening
The season pass is on sale right now for $8. I'm buying.
I enjoy watching TFS Plays Batman, but I was so bad at the demo of TWAU that I stay away from this interaction method for my own plays.
I love it and I love it's potential. I feel that when we get to see characters like the joker show up this game will shine like the walking dead has. I can't wait for more.
I'll never understand why the framerate on telltale games always sucks, like, why? the graphics aren't even good
the wolf among us on xbox one is really hard to handle, its like it cant handle its own cutscenes at all and bugs out allot
Telltale typically doesnt make bad games (for its style of course). I trust them pretty well for the season pass
The Batman in Tall Tale is a newer batman who's been Batman for about 2 yrs I think in the 1st season, not sure.
Bruce looks like Archer in this
Game is $3 and some change on steam until july 9th.
when you buy the physical copy why do we have to wait for all the episodes this is why I didn't bother with hit man it's the whole waiting thing had it not been batman it wouldn't be worth waiting for.
I really wish they would've had Kevin conroy do Batman
I really have to thank you for making this video, I haven't been sure about this game, and seeing this video helps me make a decision on if I should buy this.
One of the best telltale games, it's a refreshing spin on batman. Being Bruce is so much fun.
I bought this as soon as it came out and I love it!!!! What kind of Batman are you playing as Jake?
I enjoy watching gameranx videos, but sometimes I think how can I have any doubts on a game like this. Isn't every game from Tell Tale just awesome? Though their time plan on releasing chapters always has me forgetting what happened previously. That's the only -1 point I have on them.
interesting game, but I prefer to have control of character instead of QT actions. May buy later on PS clearance
