Sometimes Ill get cocky and be like "I know quite a bit about strats and pro play valorant" and then I'll watch sliggy live breakdown how a random pistol strat is a revamp of a specific coaches strat from CS in 2017. And I give up all hope while Stephen liggy exists, his brain is too big
the funniest thing sliggy does is when platchat hits a gurantee he tries to get bren to change a pred. like consistently. he just wants the curse to be broken, but doesn't want to be wrong.
I’m so glad that Sean agrees about the jawg clip being the greatest clip in valorant history. I felt that way as it was happening and have only felt stronger in that conviction everytime after I’ve watched it. It truly is so perfect in every way

Immaculate explanations of anti stratting with clips and stuff guys, particularly with Sean and sliggy going back and forth on kru and eg clips. Sick ep
Im glad that sliggy and Sean were here to glaze Kru as they deserved recognizing the hard things they do well, as it sometimes gets simplified as aggressiveness and good fundamentals/teamplay, and although that in itself isn't easy to accomplish there's a lot more than that to this teams success right now. Also love Sean's breakdown of rounds. Great episode as usual
Sean's tea confirms a lot about what I always suspected about Ethan. The lack of self awareness he has as being the weakest IGL we've ever seen in valorant can only come from a fundamental unapreciation of the hard strategic work Potter, or on his previous team Steel and Frost do. NRG's attack rounds look like a ranked game of high level randoms, and WE KNOW that Victor, Crashies, and Marved know how to play valorant. But the calls from Ethan always seem to be "lets shift walk and hold angles hoping someone presents themselves to us." You have to be so naive to think calls like that will win games
This is the main reason that I was so doubtful of NRG actually being good this year. IGL’s are rare for a reason, you can’t just throw a player into the IGL role and expect them to thrive.
I dont think this is just ethan tho since you can clearly tell by their gameplan at the very first round of ascent that it was already weird even without the midrounding. I mean they look alright in lockin his calling was alright against SEN. Whatever they cooked up while masters madrid is going is NOT IT lmfao even putting demon1 on raze. NRG was already having this problems last year. They were really good in lock in then tried to change things up in the season ended up not doing well at the start
The ending to group alpha in emea was actually CRAZY! The fact that any team could’ve topped the group and in hindsight Vitality or BBL probably should’ve pulled it off but they lost to both GiantX and KOI which led to them both finishing in last is wild. If Fnatic qualify for Shanghai they are SOO LUCKY that BBL and Vitality threw so hard. Genuinely the hypest region rn for all of the wrong reasons.
The team that is owning their league (according to plat chat) PACIFIC-DRX (ELIMINATED) EMEA-BBL (ELIMINATED) AMERICA-KRU (just lost to Lev) Plat chat cursing teams once again

It's crazy how almost all of VALORANT's biggest problems can be solved by not having an ultra compressed schedule and half the entire year off of a sport.
The schedule is just AWFUL period. I really do agree with KCs coach in that if you don't think you have an actual good chance at winning a master's event, its almost better to just go out early to prepare for the next stage/champs. Its stupid that there arent champs qualifying points based on how you place at champs to make the incentive higher.. OR better yet, don't have the schedule so ridiculously cramped. Im glad theres more valorant games overall than last year which felt so short, but idk why it cant be spread over the year better so that teams at least have like 3-4 weeks after a big major event to figure things out, especially if theres a big patch changing things. I also think they need to take some of the analysts and pros advice on the map pool, right now its just awful with how many post-plant heavy maps we have which definitely exacerbated the viper issue.. and honestly I just think sunset is a terrible map that just devolves into B site always being defenders smoke off choke and molly it while attackers spam thru the smokr and molly site. Its just a very boring map because 1 of its 2 sites is attacked the exact same way round after round I feel like platchat kinda underestimates strength of schedule sometimes.. like the big example in this episode is when talking about DRX, I think DRX looks reallllly good. But its so hard to know when theyve just been beating on shitty teams but they had no hesitation being all-in on DRX despite not really having been tested other than a close 3 map series against a super struggling gen.g. I think in a tac fps like valorant its easy to make your strats look genius if the teams youre playing are just bad and dont have tbe systems worked out against your style and just cant work it out on the fly. Sometimes too when a team runs thru teams for a while they get over confident and think their strats are perfect but then they face a tough team and everything comes crashing down bc they havent had to work things out on the fly in the current meta. But in general, it seems like every region theres a strog group and a weaker group. And thats really throwing things off and hard to reallt figure out how good these teams really are
1:31:40 that's also wrong, I used to think this way "reactive" means things that do react to what happens in genral like a "reactive" chemical element, not the result of a reaction, or a specific reaction - "reactionary" has both the political meanings and another one, as used by Brenwhich you can check in the dictionary
Just for the record, obviously if Lev win or 100T lose then Lev are locked. In order for 100T to take first, they need to win 2-0 and either Lev have to lose 0-2 or, if Lev lose 1-2, it goes to round diff, and Lev have +23 on 100T in current round diff. Lev are virtually locked as you probably expect them to at least win 1 map or at win enough rounds to not lose the advantage they have over 100T
I play a lot of viper because she is so strong. I think these nerfs will take her out of the game completely, at least in rank it will be pointless to pick her. Before that I was on skye. I may have to be a cypher now 😢
@@Bigryguy95-epic ya know. Im still playing viper and despite the nerfs, still pretty strong. Not being able to pick up the orb actually added quality of life, less stressful.
@@randymagnum8178 yeah I think the nerfs will mostly hurt Pro play because I usually have to fill viper on breeze and it still feels easy to hold A or B site. The decay is still strong and teammates rotate at the sound of a pin drop so the lower delay time with the Molly isn’t too big of a deal
Nrg were blowing out the worst teams, they literally faced no real opposition till leviathan and they got served the moment they did. Nrg have players but it doesn't matter when no one can put them all together or lead them
