I will own this Generation of ZX-10r at some point in my life. So beautiful. Don't really care about the new Showa suspension, but the decals with the green on the SE, again, Beautiful.
If it is a road bike you should have tested it with road tires and not some special ones only designed for sports use. Good bike to avoid worrying about the suspension setup. Good comments as always from Michael.
Really, the only advantage to paying the extra money for this suspension system that i can see, is that you make changes by pressing a button instead of getting out your screwdriver (do you want softer or firmer) because at the end of the day, there is still oil moving between the two sides of the valve. I’ve found that the best money spent was getting the right spring rate for my weight. I selected a Nitron R3 rear shock, and a RaceTech fork rebuild kit.

That dash is so 5 years ago. I dont understand why they haven't made the ZX-10RR and the SE Ninja respectable bikes. The SE should have a Suzuki gsxr 1000R type display. WFT !!!!! Buildiing bikes on rhe cheap and charging big money.
How come this is so "sluggish" when the 07 model was deemed a complete monster? Is this bike slower, less torquey? Or has it just not kept up with competition?

You legitimately sounded like you struggled to explain the positive points to this motorcycle...not a good sign to hear the same complaints on the same bike for 3 years into a generation of a motorcycle
A company must produce horrible bike if they have to keep changing platforms. Or a good bike can reused many years. 09-15 R6 is a prefect platform even it last so many years. Why so many club racers ride it more than other bikes

Yep, just go with the base 10R, non-ABS model @ $15,099. Get the suspension, exhaust, ECU, quickshifter installed aftermarket and probably be thousands less than the SE with a bike that works better than the SE, built for your specific weight and style.
All this electronic suspension is all peaches and cream until it goes awol...then how much to fix it? I'd rather have good quality analogue suspension and learn how to adjust it...
chr11sf still better than bmw and Mercedes lol, they even have computer modules for trunk lights , interior light, wiring. Like you don’t know the light blew up, or use the trunk. Also 03 and up no oil dip stick , you have to trust electronics and hope they don’t break. And never tell you to Chang oil. Basically these cars for lease, because in 3 years you don’t have to worry about normal maintenance, just oil changes. Then when you buy used after 5 years , handfuls of problems lands on your hands.
Alex Kharazmi Yep they sure will and plenty of folk enjoy pushing buttons and colour displays...The choice is still available for now but eventually all the premium bikes will have it as standard...I had a s1000r with electronic damping, (dealer told me 3 month wait for a standard model so I thought I'd try it), hated the suspension, too vague...oh and more than 2000 GBP for a rear shock once it needed replacing, happy days..
A sport bike you call almost dull. Where did they go wrong? A sport bike and dull should never, never be on the tip of the tongue if the bike is built for that purpose.

For the life of me, why wont stupid stubborn Kawasaki drop that rubbish gearing ? Everyone knows fixing that transforms the way it accelerates and the company wont just admit they got it wrong and send it with the appropriate sprockets. Good review, sounds over priced for many reasons- build quality, brake feel, outdated platform, lack of passion etc...

Paul Coombes only the ZX-10R in the context of its rivals - it’s just not quite there in standard trim (obviously a lot better in modified racing form). We test lots of Kawasakis and they’re great: Z9000RS, Versys, ZX6-R, Ninja 400 etc...
Paul Coombes the truth of it is there’s no bad bikes out there, but when you’re comparing them as a road tester some will always rank better than others.

I think the ZX10 is a fantastic motorcycle, and the addition of active suspension makes a great bike even better.
